    Clueless fans. Clueless coach. 1:40 mark was PERFECT defense. Completely straight up. BUY. A. CLUE.

      Joel-You hit the nail on the head. Where was the foul at 1:40? I saw the defender with hands straight up. The offense leaned into the defense and that was a good no call. Poor sports up in here.

      I agree the main defender was perfect. However, I would like to see a closer look at that help defender that sticks his hand in as the shot went up. My players are bad about bailing out an offensive player from behind. Doesn't look like he got him in the video, but certainly could have been a foul.

      Unclear as to whether #3 hit him. Other defenders look ok at 1:40. If there was a foul, it’d probably be on 3 as he reached, but unclear.

    When has yelling at a referee EVER gotten them to change a call? Stupid hothead.
    Coach: "REF! REF! That's a foul! How can you not call that?!"
    Ref: *blows whistle* "You're right, coach. Let's go back to the other end of the floor and award two free throws for that foul I missed."
    Never happen.

      The best coaches know how to work an official within reason. It's not about that call necessarily, but trying to get the next one. However, if you fuss about every call, then you look stupid and your pleas become all noise. Referees are a lot better than most fans understand (or want to acknowledge). A good official understands that when a coach who rarely says anything is upset, there is usually a reason (and vice versa). Knowing where each side is coming from is a very crucial aspect of being a good official and a good coach.

      I'm a basketball, baseball and football official for many years and I've wanted so many times, turn around and say, "you're right, I'm kidding" after a coach says, "you got yo be kidding me" but I don't.

    I have raised 4 kids, three of which played basketball from 4th grade through 12th grade. That's a bunch of f'n games. I have seen good and bad refs. Each game has one thing in common, almost never does the bad refereed games make any difference. It all comes out in the wash by time a season concludes. So, take a deep breath and accept that your child is going to get elbowed, poked etc....and there's nothing you can do about it. It's basketball, people forget that it IS a contact sport, it happens very fast and no amount of referees could see it all. It's just a game. I changed my attitude towards it when I was so upset after one of my sons games where the refs were biased towards their own home team (not uncommon) , and on the ride home afterwards by son, the one playing shook it off in a matter of minutes. I though, if he can let it go so can I. I have enjoyed the games since then much much more.

      Ty for that. So true.
      My daughter is only 11 and some of the parents at some of the games were terrible. My kid had a smile win or lose. Some of these people tho.

      True I do believe kids make it a bigger deal the it is while on the floor when there is a bad call but I'm a junior right now playing on varsity at Lancaster Catholic Highschool and I do believe a simple bad call in moments of a game can define a outcome because each play counts down to the end of the game with just simply calling a bad call seeing it but kids cant blame the refs for losing a game entirely that's just how you played but if there is a bunch of people in the lane crowded up I get it, its not gonna be perfect calls or 100% on who touched it last and that's why i have respect for HS refs cuz they deal with a lot of shit but sometimes the calls get a little absurd.

      I don’t care. All the games are horribly officiated now. Just look at the stage of college ball. Referees absolutely suck and no one holds them accountable for their horrible decision making.

    Ignorant parents and fans. Maybe the coach for yellow should teach them to get a damn rebound. Also, great defense by white on the other end. I did not see one bad call in that sequence. Some fans just need to accept their team isn't that good.

    That fan that said travel doesn't have a clue what he is talking about. The other foul when he said you have to be joking.....that official was not in position to make a call. The official in the A position had a better view. He was assuming contact was made. But because of body positioning, unless he went through the player body, which we all could see that didn't happen, he wouldn't have been able to see contact on the arm. It was all ball. The no call "nothing" was impossible to see from that angle rather the Guard had all ball or not on that post up. The coached deserved to be T up but not kicked out unless he said some obscenity.

    • @MonarchEAS
      @MonarchEAS Год назад

      Number 21 clearly. Violated his cylinder which means he does not have legal guarding position. It obviously effected the shot. They call that a foul all the time. The refs should have called it there.

    • @undisclosed3863
      @undisclosed3863 Год назад +1

      21 looks straight up to me. Nor does it look like he moved into the shooter. But then again it's hard to tell from the angle we have. And to say he clearly did anything is impossible. The official is about has a perfect open look that the coach and Nothing? - guy in the bleachers don't have. An open look is when you are looking at an angle where you're looking between the players. The coach and the guy in the stands are blocked and are in no position to judge it. The shooter may have had trouble getting the shot off because he was too close to the defender and his right elbow dragged on the defenders body. But that could be the shooters fault. Good one to talk about though.
