This type of action should happen more & more! People need to learn that unruly or bad sports behavior will not be tolerated and their actions have consequences that will be dealt with swiftly and decisively. Good on the Refs!

Cell phone video allows us to see first hand how the media will distort a story. From the video, you can see the students were not ejected from the game as reported. The student section under the basket, in close proximity to the floor, was emptied and the students dispersed into the crowd.

It’s long overdue… out of control kids who have zero respect for anyone or any authority. They unfortunately have been running the asylum for far too long. Harsh discipline is the only way and I fear it’s too late. Cell phone/Snapchat generation… pathetic.

The letter indicates treating disrespect as a second chance. How about, not tolerate, take down names, and if it continues again then they are not allowed to see another game in person?

It’s the supervisors (administrators) of fans responsibility to control fan behavior. Generally the officials will talk the coaches and administrators, then the administrators should have removed spectators.

Sets a bad precedent doing this. Absent a formal rules change ejecting a mass number of fans will not go well

Hey, teacher and coach here! The first amendment you are referencing protects you from going to jail and/or being executed for your thoughts, beliefs, religions, press (does not include threats). Freedom of speech would be speaking out against a new school rule, not cursing up a storm and acting a damn fool at a basketball game, especially a high school contest at that. Schools have codes of conduct and policies that must be followed, or there are consequences.
As an athletes and a coach, shit even a spectator, I’ve seen student sections and entire stands get cleared because people don’t know how to act. I tell my students all the time, if you don’t know how to act like you got some sense, just stay home 🤷🏾‍♂️
