Had a chat with the director about why he did a cover instead of the original. His response: The issue with the original was working with the game. During the verses it has times where the beat “drops out” which we were worried would be a problem for players to identify the beat. Really wanted the song in there so we opted to cover it so we could add in the “claps”
Sounds like a problem that would be easily fixed by adding a clap track. I rather think a mechanical license was much cheaper than getting a full usage one. (Yes)
All of your friends are
Standing in line
They're getting tired of
Your attitude fast
(You're gonna lose it, you're gonna lose it)
Without all your bodyguards
How long would you last?
Not long, not long
[Chorus 2]
You think you're radical
But you're not so radical
In fact, you're fanatical, fanatical
And you think you're a radical
But you're not so radical
In fact, you're fanatical, fanatical
And you think you're a radical
