The punchline at the end that Chai doesn't even know how to play guitar is incredible. It makes perfect sense too, what with his bum arm at the start of the game.
I mean, it's not really that much of a punchline and more just a sweet moment, since it's established that Chai can't play guitar during his first time meeting Peppermint.
iirc, before heading towards Korsica's area there's a note from a coffee machine that's along the lines of "this is my revenge." Think the toaster from New Vegas that wants to destroy the world
To add on what that other comment says, there's a note of an employee feeling upset for being demoted to work in the Lava level. As revenge, they reprogrammed all of the coffee machine's firmware to only use decaf. Their revenge lasts throughout the entire game, it's a very funny bit.
Fun fact, if you quit out in the middle of the later boss fights or moments in the story where it doesn't make sense for you to be in the in the safe house there's unique dialogue of the group criticizing you for breaking the pacing

Fun fact with the first Zanzo mission: because it's possible to replay levels with everything you unlock later on, you're able to defeat the armored robot that is usually intended to be the level's scripted failure. Doing so results in everyone scolding Chai for going against the script, and CNMN tells the game to run it back and play the ending cutscene. Love it when games have little details like that to account for "NG+" playthroughs.

1:22:14 I love how Korsica's like "don't worry peppermint, you being related to Kale doesn't change how we feel about you❤" as if she was a rebel from the start even though she was literally Kale's 3rd in command like 5 minutes ago 😂
I mean, Korsica’s heel-face turn is pretty heavily foreshadowed. She’s consistently shown to be the last to know anything, and her treatment compared to the other Vandelay lieutenants is very different. Optional notes that you can find in particular reveal that she’s frequently left out of important conference calls and the like, despite being the head of security! And then the way that she actually shows some mercy towards Chai (ie not immediately going to deathmatch mode) and takes the initiative to research the Spectra program on her own shows that her values have a fundamental misalignment with the rest of the higher-ups. Perhaps most interestingly, she’s the only one to not be mostly metal. Everyone else is more metal than flesh - Korsica has *no* robotic parts whatsoever up until Peppermint gives her the ones that save her life after the encounter with Kale. Which, that in and of itself is a great illustration of the difference in attitudes towards robotics and their purpose held by Kale and Peppermint! Korsica’s turn makes her a great touchstone for some of the more subtle throughlines in the game. …Er, I got a bit off-topic there, but the tl;dr is that while Korsica did work for Kale, she was hardly really *in* on anything. Calling her third-in-command isn’t really accurate - she’s decidedly at the bottom of the top, and her holding one of the override drives is more on a technicality than anything. Given she admits to idolizing him and the company before, he probably thought he could manipulate her into obeying him. And he was right, it seems, at least until Chai and co. threw a wrench into his plans.
You're fine dude! I definitely recommend you give it a try though, as someone who has been a gamer for over 25 years, I can confidently say HiFi-Rush is one of the greatest games to come out in recent memory, and one of the best games I've ever played. It deserves to be experienced@@lassoroot
The science experience Dan wants at 30:22, just watch the annual Ig Nobel Prize. In 2000, the winners levitated a frog with magnets, then they won an actual Nobel Prize 10 years later
1:58:43 "I'd love to help, but don't quite think I, uh... fit a job description, so maybe I should see myself out." Game, you can't just say things *that* agonizingly relatable.
Its funny that Kale calls out Korsica for not being good at her job- when she is the most compentant member of the board- she is the only one that does security properly so you can't just steal access to vital documents for spectra from her, all her stuff you have to bypass is practical and straightforward, with all the overengineered and rule of cool elements of security being things the rest of the group forced through- like the giant beams of data and other stuff chai abuses to get to her office etc. Every other executive does things that are ultimately self defeating for the company- Rekka destroys defects, which while bad for Chai, also is bad policy in general even when it doesn't include murder- its basically just covering up potentially faulty product, with no sign of any actual examination for why it was faulty or deeper examination of the products in general- side note, Robots like O-5KAR and L-UC1LL3 are the older models, the more humanoid robots are the newer ones built after Kale took over, with such quirks as eating human food for fuel, the capacity and desire to shirk duties or push them off to the older models etc. Also with the reveal of what Spectra was actually for the fact that every modern robot is weaponized, when they have official non military uses says alot about the poor design priorities. Continueing Zanzo micromanaged R&D, wasted funds on personal petty projects and modifications to existing ones, which included changes that made them less effective (the laser turrets you parry don't blow up because you overload them or anything, Zanzo programed them to explode in embarrassment if they fail to kill their target). And in general was terrible as a boss. Mimosa made everything she could about her, or Kale and spent so much of marketing on pointless luxuries- notes you find explain that for every concert she puts on she "requires" a specific number of aquariums with a very specific variety of tropical fish, just for her to walk past on the way to the stage, and a private jet fully stocked and waiting for her, even when the event is at the Vandalay campus and thus she wouldn't be going anywhere. Roquefort keeps going on about the expenses and savings, and how Spectra has to be used or they are just leaving money on the table- but doesn't stop any of the rediculous spending the rest of the board does, or the poor buisness decisions like the stuff with the robots above, with the notable exception of giving Zanzo a funding limit, so the ONE time he did his job right, it let someone beat up a board member- and this while Vandalay is making so much money that they have a scrooge Mc Duck level money bin of gold. And Kale used technology (he is clearly a great engineer) to take over the company but lacks any of the skills needed to actually RUN the company, and instead resorts to the real purpose of Spectra, even when he has used his mind control tech to get compentent people working for him. He also gets points off for HIREING all of these people.
@@Modie Honestly, that's the last password I would have placed so she was clever (or not too techsavvy). Too bad she was matched against someone even DUMBER (Chai).

Love this game. Can't believe Xbox made one of the best new ips in years and trashed the studio a year later. Hopefully, Krafton is better to Tango, but after all the controversy they've had, I'm gonna stay cautiously optimistic.

Dear RTGame,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to sincerely apologise for my recent comments about your skills in rhythm and rhythm games. My words were thoughtless and unkind, and I deeply regret any hurt or frustration they may have caused you.
As a dedicated fan of your streams, I understand the effort and passion you put into your content. Your unique style and entertaining personality are what make your streams so enjoyable, and I should have been more supportive and respectful of your efforts.
Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, and it’s important to remember that gaming is about having fun and connecting with others. My comment was unnecessary and did not reflect the appreciation I have for the hard work you do.
Please accept my sincerest apologies. I will strive to be more considerate and encouraging in the future. Thank you for all the joy and laughter you bring to your community. I look forward to continuing to support you and enjoy your streams.

1:22:14 I love how Korsica's like "don't worry peppermint, you being related to Kale doesn't change how we feel about you❤" as if she was a rebel from the start even though she was literally Kale's 3rd in command like 5 minutes ago 😂
Tbf, attempted murder typivally sours one's opinion of people rather quickly XD
It was a little corny, but eh it was still a cute scene
Ok sorry I haven't actually played the game, just from watching the video I thought it was kinda funny @nighttyger3397
You're fine dude! I definitely recommend you give it a try though, as someone who has been a gamer for over 25 years, I can confidently say HiFi-Rush is one of the greatest games to come out in recent memory, and one of the best games I've ever played. It deserves to be experienced@@lassoroot

1:58:43 "I'd love to help, but don't quite think I, uh... fit a job description, so maybe I should see myself out."
Game, you can't just say things *that* agonizingly relatable.
Continueing
Zanzo micromanaged R&D, wasted funds on personal petty projects and modifications to existing ones, which included changes that made them less effective (the laser turrets you parry don't blow up because you overload them or anything, Zanzo programed them to explode in embarrassment if they fail to kill their target).
Counterpoint: Her secret security password is Password.
@@Modie Honestly, that's the last password I would have placed so she was clever (or not too techsavvy). Too bad she was matched against someone even DUMBER (Chai).
wow i just realized that kale is ultimately responsible for his own demise bc he’s the one who threw chai’s ipod away, where it then gave chai his powers. i love it when games do that lol
