I love how real they wrote Kale’s dialogue. He more than others gets interrupted or sidetracked in his words it makes him seem less like a mega villain with all his lines rehearsed. But you know his comments are off the cuff expressions of his mood. He’s witty but just not witty enough. It’s great.

I mean, I don't blame him for thinking finding what customers want is too hard. Did a course on business startups, and the truth is that 'customers' far from any sort of monolithic buying entity, all want different and often contradictory things, and are essentially impossible to market new products to with any reliable degree of success.

U know what i find crazy? I feel Roquefort was more of a threat than Kale was. Yes, kale was the final boss, but we saw Roque toss Chai around, slammong him through walls and tiring him out.
@@chriss.249 Roquefort felt like he cared more for the company (mainly because of the money) and he was the only boss where Chai was terrified of fighting at first and the one where he needed direct help from one of his friends to beat (you could say other bosses also made chai be forced to work in a team but with Roquefort it felt like he was useless alone)

I just realized that at the end, when we do a combo move with each of our team, we are actually following the same rules as the enemies for their telegraphed multiattacks. We first input the intent, then after a few beats the intent is played out exactly how we telegraphed it.
Not only that, but Chai lets all his friends hit the heavy attacks while he hits the light ones, which signifies that he has realized that it’s not always about being in the spotlight, and is willing to let others take the lead. Or, he realizes that this fight means a whole lot more for the others, and is willing to let them get the best hits on Kale.
Tbh, I love the musical connection with both the first and last boss having a Nine Inch Nails song. Really made Kale feel that much more fitting as the final boss
It was pretty disappointing that none of the other boss tracks were that good though. Also how the fuck do you license two NIN tracks for boss battles and you don't use Hand That Feeds OR Head Like A Hole both of them even have lyrics that fit the story BRUH

I had no idea that The Perfect Drug was gonna be the boss theme, but as soon as it kicked in, it put me in the zone. This game was very good with a very satisfying end. I can’t believe they just dropped that shit on Game Pass out of nowhere! I know it’s a shorter game, but it’s challenging and fun and I’m in my 40’s now. I need shorter games. 😂
Sumn i never understood was how the characters are ok with murder. Heck Pepermint and roxanne were ok with killing Kale. Isnt that family? Theres also no fallout from the fact that many of the lead staff at vandaley are dead and not managing their respective areas. As trash as they were they did keep the company going. U would think chai would be facing life in jail for murder, with the homies doing hard time too on account of being accomplices. Then again ive watched so many crime shows thats where my mind goes😂

Armstrong Defects are to be utilized, read, killed by incineration and recycled. - It could be argued Chai was defending his own life, even if the contract says they have the right to basically kill him for the defect. 2. When Kale has no use of someone, he gets rid of them. Korsica is the perfect example. She learned too much, he fired her and attempted to kill her. 3. When Zanzo made his laser bots, he implemented a self destruct for when they fail dramatically. With all that in mind, I don't think Chai and his friends are directly killing anyone, the explosions being caused by a potential self destruct implemented into the robotic augmentations each of the bosses had. The only exception being Roquefort who died by being careless and not realizing he was standing underneath a money chute.

I feel like the bosses blowing up is a reference to Scott Pilgrim Vs The World Everytime Scott beat one of the Bosses (Or if we go by the film, one of the seven evil Ex's), they expload into Quarters I could be looking too far into it but Scott Pilgrims Music tie in battles and this games Music tie in battles and bosses exploding in both
you can really speed up the arms phase by just bouncing off him by hitting him with lights 3 times to make him counter, then you parry that and he goes into one of his three breakable arm moves
I think one of the biggest reasons I like this fight so much is that controlling 808 comes out of left field. It gives serious Kingdom Hearts 2 vibes when you first get to control King Mickey. Gives you this rush of hope in spite of being in a losing situation. Then every bit of Kale being an asshole with an ego complex is the cherry on the cake, making the moments you beat up on him with Chai that more satisfying.
Whenever Kale did that "I HAVE THE POWERRRRR!" lightning field, It felt satisfying everytime I heard it with this music. Even if he was kicking my ass.
When I first found out that The Perfect Drug was the final boss song of this game (unless Streamer Mode is on), I got so nostalgic since I listened to a lot of NIN through Rock Band. To any new fans who discovered NIN's music through this game, welcome aboard!
Gotta respect the absolute vibe that is Kale making sure he gets to throw his coat off to reveal his battle body, only for the battle body to have another coat, which he can then throw off again if things get real serious
I went back to beat Kale on very hard mode once again to have a higher rank than a D. I died only two times and have an A rank. It's soo better than having a D on the final boss.

I’m hoping my next couple rounds with Kale will be easier, now knowing how to get through it. The first two phases were great. I played this fight on very hard the first time. It took me sevaral hours and was the most rewarding thing ive ever done in a videogame. I hope hifi rush is just the first of a slew of games like this Guitar hero god of war. We can call them Rush-likes

Fun fact: I had a friend accidentally click on this vid despite him not knowing what the hell the game was. I described it as Sonic the Hedgehog being beaten up by Hubert and Celica from Fire Emblem, someone that basically sounded like Morag from Xenoblade, an accomplished singer and a cat, and his reaction was a perfectly sensible "...Yeah, that checks out" Video games are quite the perfect drug, with perfect brain damage to go with it. I now believe this more than ever.
This boss was quite epic! although I don't find him the hardest but definitely the most enjoyable one(including the final phase) the fact that the game requires you to summon all your friends to prevent Kale from hurting you was brilliant. Dialogues were top notch, Kale was my favorite character alongside Peppermint. I finished this game last night, I owe my friend an apology for my skepticism..
Out of all the comedic writing and Woody banter back and forth between everyone in this entire boss fight I think the funniest part and most honest and down-to-earth part is just the fact that he blows up at the end
I just opened the game and tried it, unfortunately it just shows Chai’s game over screen. To be fair, if 808 were to fail it would be a game over for both of them, so it’s still kinda fitting.
Is "Chai" comes from Tchaikovsky? Because I really don't know what his name should represent besides the fact that in my native language (and in many others) Chai translates to "tea". Who knows maybe that was the intended meaning due to other characters having names such as "Macaron", "Cinnamon" and "Peppermint"

So, last night I played this level on Rhythm Master mode. Got my ass kicked a lot more than I thought I ever would cuz the hits just drained my HP, but goddamn it's one of the best challenges I've ever taken up. And I've learned one thing that only made me feel like an absolute God. When he summons lightning around himself, you can actually parry it all if you mash it to the beat, like a super fast drum. Also, the fastest way to stun him is to parry the tiny laser beams he shoots. Again, got my ass kicked a lot, but the level makes it feel like a true final boss. I fucking love this game

Bro I died 89 times and it took me two hours to finally beat him on very hard mode
Took me 26 attempts on hard mode so i couldn't imagine beating kale on the harder difficulty
I had to try 12 times yo, but it still felt like an eternity
89…. Weak… took me 121 times! Lol… so glad when I finally beat him!
I went back to beat Kale on very hard mode once again to have a higher rank than a D. I died only two times and have an A rank. It's soo better than having a D on the final boss.

I’m hoping my next couple rounds with Kale will be easier, now knowing how to get through it. The first two phases were great. Then the third phase stepped in… I got wrecked most of my deaths on that last part. Lasers, fire beams, god sword! Glad to know it’s possible to do better! Cheers

Frankly I think this game goes off the Scott pilgrim rules where the villains wake up in their beds and realize that being evil is dumb, because funny, and these guys are way too casual about the murdering

I played this fight on very hard the first time. It took me sevaral hours and was the most rewarding thing ive ever done in a videogame. I hope hifi rush is just the first of a slew of games like this

Fun fact: I had a friend accidentally click on this vid despite him not knowing what the hell the game was. I described it as Sonic the Hedgehog being beaten up by Hubert and Celica from Fire Emblem, someone that basically sounded like Morag from Xenoblade, an accomplished singer and a cat, and his reaction was a perfectly sensible "...Yeah, that checks out"

This boss was quite epic! although I don't find him the hardest but definitely the most enjoyable one(including the final phase) the fact that the game requires you to summon all your friends to prevent Kale from hurting you was brilliant. Dialogues were top notch, Kale was my favorite character alongside Peppermint. I finished this game last night, I owe my friend an apology for my skepticism..

Out of all the comedic writing and Woody banter back and forth between everyone in this entire boss fight I think the funniest part and most honest and down-to-earth part is just the fact that he blows up at the end

I just opened the game and tried it, unfortunately it just shows Chai’s game over screen. To be fair, if 808 were to fail it would be a game over for both of them, so it’s still kinda fitting.

Is "Chai" comes from Tchaikovsky? Because I really don't know what his name should represent besides the fact that in my native language (and in many others) Chai translates to "tea". Who knows maybe that was the intended meaning due to other characters having names such as "Macaron", "Cinnamon" and "Peppermint"
The intended naming theme of thr characters appears to be mostly food related for the major characters.
@@Hisnitch only exceptions to that are rekka, zanzo, korsica, and possibly Roquefort.
So a little under half of the main cast of characters in the game don’t follow that rule.
Roquefort is a kind of blue cheese it looks like, so he counts in the food naming. The rest is accurate though.

So, last night I played this level on Rhythm Master mode.
Got my ass kicked a lot more than I thought I ever would cuz the hits just drained my HP, but goddamn it's one of the best challenges I've ever taken up.
And I've learned one thing that only made me feel like an absolute God.
When he summons lightning around himself, you can actually parry it all if you mash it to the beat, like a super fast drum.
Also, the fastest way to stun him is to parry the tiny laser beams he shoots.
Again, got my ass kicked a lot, but the level makes it feel like a true final boss.
