Greg, Fantastic videos! Can't thank you enough. I've been flying 1S brushed Tinywhoops for a while now with a Jumper T8SG V2 PLUS. I'm just making the move to brushless whoops. Bought a Tinyhawk 2, but the Jumper doesn't have D8, so I bought the Taranis QX7. Flies great! This wouldn't have been possible without your fantastic instruction. This is also my first time using Betaflight, which scared the hell out of me at first. You've made the entire process simple and painless.

I've looked at many videos on how to setup switches, this one wins. Good job!
Total beginner and you helped me out a lot. One thing I learned through also was the binding. I just plugged in my TH2 to USB then in the console did bind_rx, set the radio, restarted and all was well. Thanks again!

Thank you! Got my QX7 today and this video was invaluable in getting my Tinyhawk (original) working. FYI - this original Tinyhawk worked with Receiver settings of SPI RX Support and FRSKY_D, just like the S model. Will now try to set up my Tinyhawk Freestyle. Again - appreciate the step by step instructions.

The main problem was with bad cable(betafligth shows the only Bluetooth)

@@TheGregFarnum still having small issues, saying arm is disabled, but it is only on 1 channel
My roll pitch yaw and throttle was all messed up so i got a throttle threshold warning, still learning... think I fixed it now

@@TheGregFarnum I have opened BetaFlight and connected drone to pc (USB), diode is light so it's connected to PC but when I click to "Connect" button it doesn't do anything... (Sorry for grammar I'am from Czech Republic...)
@@TheGregFarnum Without BetaFlight is drone working, propellers are spinning but drone can't fly... I have done everything same like you (without BetaFlight because I don't know how to pair drone with program...)
You might have to flash the firmware on the drone. which drone do you have?

I have an eflite viper 70 mm edf and I bind my Taranis QX7 with Spektrum Rx AR636A AS3X using the JP4IN1 Jumper Multiprotocol Module....... everything is working good, but I don't know how to make the Safe works, how can I assign a switch to enable or unable that option?..... I can't get my QX7 to work with my Tinyhawk 2. I followed you all the way until i get to config, dshot600, receiver-serial-based, serial receiver provider-SBUS, then when I go to Receiver to see if stick moves on beta flight, nothing works. no movement.
Hey greg i love your videos thay helped set the drone up and bind the radio but my tiny hawk s atill flashes red after taking it out of bind mode with no throtol witch won't let me arm or put it in beeper plz respond i have had the drone for almost 2 years and have never flown it.

Even though i have mine setup like yours, the beeper and turtle both light up when i move to last position. Turtle doesn't seem to be activating in the middle position. I haven't tried in an actual flight, but it doesn't seem right.

Hey! I have a problem
I bought a taranis qx7 for a couple of weeks ago and practice in velocidrone simulator.
Now i got myself a tinyhawk freestyle 2. I did manage to connect the controller to the drone and bind sticks.
My problem is. when i throttle, the propellers start spinning, but not enough to get in to air. When i roll/tilt it only tries to go left.
I'm using the EMAX Tinyhawk 2.5 Freestyle BNF. I did everything you did and it works. But, when I throttle down the motors slow for a second and then speed up. According to Betaflight 1 and 4 motors are almost full throttle, 2 and 3 are about half. The only way it stops is when i switch off the Arm. Any Idea how to fix this?
I purchased the QX7 controller. Doesn't look like it comes with everything included. What else do I need?
why are my aux switches not working in beta flight? everything else shows the radio controller to be working.
Should I set up the switches and betaflight before I bind it with the drone?
What is the 'Flip Over After Crash' mode all about? I set the aux channel but nothing happens when I hit that switch with the quad armed

Followed it to a T but not fully working. Everything checks out in Betaflight, but I cant get it to arm. I can make it beep and change modes but arm is the only thing that doesn't work. Im using the Frsky X7 and the Tiny Hawk 2. Any help would be appreciated

Hi. Great video, got my first quad flying. But I have an issue now, I wanted to go back and add a prearm, have set the switch I want to use up on the Taranis in both Inputs and Mixer, and this looks to be working fine on the radios main menu. However when I go into betaflight it does not recognise that the new switch has been assigned, I flip it and nothing happens. Do I need to re-bind the quad after setting uo new switches?
Which method did you use to get the left stick to stay down instead of springing to the middle?
I’m trying to activate AUX 5, I put it on mixer but on betaflight only work until AUX 4, can you help me?
This is impossible to bind with the D16 version of this remote.
Dont make the same mistake I have. I have purchased the TinyHawk Freestyle, as well as a non-EU version of the FRSKY TaranisQ X7 (access)
I have effectively spent over $400 on the two; and neither of them I can use.

still have that darn disable in beta flight for the arm switch. CLI and MSP arent the issue. any suggestions?
Does this only work for 8 channels? I cannot get channel 9 to work no matter what. I set it up in the radio just like you've done but in Betaflight that switch for channel or Input 9 does not work. It should be AUX5 in Betaflight but it does not move when I hit the switch. Everything else works.
Is this the same for setting up the 2 Freestyle? Just bought that and the same controller.

There is a separate setup in the programming. its a sequence of flipping switches off and on
Is this a taranis X7 access? Bc im tying to pair and found out its not pairing bc there is no d8 mode on this thing. Very new to the fpv world and literally everything got delivered today my fatshark my drone and taranis Q X7 access. Any help you could offer? I can't find anything on firmware updates only thing I've found is frsky XJT lite-2.4ghz 16ch radio transmitter module to make it compatible.
you need the XJT module for the Taranis to get D8

Greg hi again. I need your help mate perhaps you could help me: After a couple of “fall off the sky” type of crashes, my tinyhawk 2 just comes in and out of bind. Sometimes just after connecting a fully charged battery it beeps intermittently and does not connect to transmitter, sometimes it binds and starts to fly and after a few seconds it just falls from sky again. Any ideas?
I would try and flash drone in betaflight and reload the newest firmware could be a bug in the version you are using.

Just bought a Tinyhawk 2. Can anyone help :( Followed this video step buy step and I ve accidently hit reset settings in the Setup menu on Betaflight and now I have no lights when plugged in . Also when the battery is connected to the drone. It flashes various coulour for 5 seconds and shuts off. Any advice or have I Made a big booboo. Any help would be greatful :)
Try flashing the firmware
