Have the Tinyhawk 1 and just ordered the Tinyhawk Freestyle. Time for a new radio. Thank you. Don't have Freestyle or the Taranis qx9 lite (the one I'm leaning towards this hour). I am new to FPV but am already obsessed. Watching and learning. Fun is! Thanks for this and the next, which I plan to watch now.
I love the qX7 and is definitely the way to go in my opinion if you ever plan on doing bigger 3 and 5” quads
Did my research on QX7. I like. Question: Do I need the XJT Lite module to connect to my growing Tinyhawk family? Also - If I get into this, do you recommend the M7 Hall Sensor Gimbal as an upgrade in the future?
John Pellico I just bought the stock one and it works will all my tiny hawks no extra modules or software. As for the sensor gimbal I’m not to sure about that I’m using it as is right now for a 5” racing and 3” cinewhoop
@@TheGregFarnum Thanks for the nearly instantaneous response! That what I was hoping. From what I could tell, the newer FrSky radios stopped supporting D8, so now they need the XJT Lite Module to connect. Again - really appreciate the info - I'm learning every day.

this is a way to do it without the module in D16 mode
Might wanna add the new access models wont work on d8 receivers unless you change it to the frsky xm, xm+, or archer m+ receiver... currently running the xm upgrading to the archer m+ for ota, fport and double the range almost 4x more than stock. 🤷♂️

Easy way to press bind button is don’t put battery in the compartment. You can press the frame up and it presses the button in perfect

I Just bought an Taranis qx7, and on my modes show "XJT D16" or "XJT D8" instead of only "D16 or D18" can u help me?
My frisky Q x7 dose not have D8 as an option. Only access and D16

Hey just got the qx7 got everything binded (I think). When I push the bind again on the radio the quad starts beeping like it's getting ready to arm? Do I just need to set the tx up right in betaflight?

Does this also works with emax tinyhawk 2 freestyle?
Do you need a taranis reciever put in the drone to connect with the controller, or the one which was set when you bought the drone?
I have a Tiny Hawk 2 and an FRsky QX7 that came with an Access receiver thing on the back. In my mode menu options I have, OFF, ACCESS and ACCST D16. Im having trouble pairing. Will this not work with the Tiny HAWK?

I was trying that and it looked like it was bound but the tinyhawk didn't react. Thought i was going crazy until i realized that usb_hid_cdc was still enabled LMAO. So keep in mind that you have to disable that if it's enabled or your drone won't work obviously

is there a difference between a FRSKY drone receiver and a SPI FRSKY?
Tinyhawk 2 doesn't bind to the new x7! Unfortunately, the new transmitters come with 2019 Access, which do not include D8 mode, and render the new X7 unable to bind Tiny2. I'm searching endlessly for how to put D8 onto the new X7, to no avail. Any help?
It is possible to bind the tinyhawk 2 in d16 mode it just needs a setting change in betaflight.

Hej good totorial! I waiting for my eachine nano longrange. You know that one Witherspoon like one li-lion battery. And I would appruciate a totorial or maybe some tips on how i connect it to my qx7.
Ive been looking at my armattan rooster for almost 5 years because im all new to quads. Mostly been flying airplanes since that time when you hade like a chip/crystal in the controller and another one in The resiver.
Im eager to start flying as soon as my eachine nano longrange is arriving. If found a lotta of good totorials and Would say i understand betaflight.

I don't have a D8 option for internal rf. Options are 'Off' 'Access' 'Accesss D16', neither Access seems to bind with the steps mentioned.. (Running OpenTX 2.3.5)

On my internal RF, it doesn't let me change to D8, does anyone have any ideas?
Is there a simulator to practice flying the tinyhawk with the taranus on the computer? I have been flying regular drones for years. DJI Phantom 3P and Yuneec Typhoon are my go to. I have never flown a FPV racing style though.
Didn't work for me. Now my Tiny hawk is beeping at me constantly lol. And it's no longer bound to the eMax controller. My Mode has "XJT D8" next to it though.

Ok I figured it out ... I was changing exterior Rf and I should have been in interior rf
But the throttle and roll is all messed up

So..... I got a tinyhawk s and the frsky x lite reciever, I've tried binding it that way and for some reason it doesn't bind. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong or what I missed.
Try to put the newest firmware on the frsky. Did help me. Also when in europe, it might help to switch the frsky to non-eu mode.
@@Hyrsch Thank you for the reply, I ended up figuring it out about 10 min after I posted this. What happened was I forgot to save my settings for the x lite so there was no movement until I saved my controller settings lol
@@Hyrsch Once I set the controller up properly it bonded no problem and now I dont have to bind it to the controller anymore lol

@@brennanhanson4617 Also for this last reply 6 months ago, I was talking about in betaflight you set your buttons up for the controller and then save it and the save button is bottom right of betaflight program

I have an eflite viper 70 mm edf and I bind my Taranis QX7 with Spektrum Rx AR636A AS3X using the JP4IN1 Jumper Multiprotocol Module....... everything is working good, but I don't know how to make the Safe works, how can I assign a switch to enable or unable that option?..... I'll appreciate any help... thank you....

Hey Greg or anyone I need help. Total new guy trying to do what you did in the video. I tried before and thought the button on top of the stack by the USB was the bind button but I think it's the vtx or something but I was following directions for binding using that button and now I cant get it bind. Not saying that messing with the other button is the problem but I dont know. When I followed your instructions and after the steps to bind the red LEDs are still flashing and the blue is solid..hahahahaha I've been trying for awhile now. It's all new to me! If you can help that would be really cool. Thanks

Hey there everything works fine, exept the throttle. Motors are not responding to throttle. All other signals work fine (ail, etc. are getting the motors spinning). Maybe you have an idea on how to fix this?
Hmm thats an interesting problem. In betaflight under the reciver tab when you have it all powered on are you seeing the throttle control?

Does anyone know if d16 has less or more range. I finally got my tinyhawk 2 to work but it has absolute crap range. Maybe 100ft. I was only able to bind with d16. My taranis X7 access doesn't have d8.
Is it the VTX Range or actual flight range where you lose control?

I also have access. Just bought the XJT to bind in d8 and working on that now. I bought it because my range was also garbage. Will let you know if I can figure out how to get it to bind lol

Noooooooo you got the wrong protocol transmitter. To bind this quad you must buy a fr sky protocol transmitter.

How do I save my settings on my fr sky taranis?
I'm pretty sure you have to put the inputs in both of the settings on the taranis. That's how it is for the x lite, I dont have my controller right now but when I get home later tonight I can see it and tell you exactly where the inputs go and what they are.
