Check out Weird Scenes Inside the Canyon by Dave McGowan, there's a whole chapter on what went on between Charlie and the Boys

Manson had some talent and did indeed come up with that melody/track. The fact he was an absolute headcase is a different story altogether. The far bigger story obviously.

Oh, he did not have talent. He was in the right place at the right time and nothing.

I wonder if Bill Murray was sort of doing an impression of him in Caddy Shack.

"Oh i love that song. My brother Dennis did that" - A deeply revealing statement on not only Dennis but also, as the title states, Charles Manson.
One need not look much further for Brian's insider knowledge on the construction of this specific song. This clip contains insights about Never Learn Not To Love that I had never read or heard before and wouldn't have known otherwise, so I thank you for this precious gift.

The interviewer obviously is trying to get Brian to reveal more, but they both leave it there and chuckle.

@@marcofalzone6469 The interviewer, Bob Harris, was an ex policeman - I guess he wasn't great at detective work!

20/20 had cover songs of Charles Manson, Phil Spector and Leadbelly.... these 3 have more in common than being songwriters😵

Over the decades, Neil Young ("Revolution Blues") has essentially received a free pass for his fascination of the Manson cult.....and they were brought together by mutual friend Dennis Wilson.

Dennis did a lot more with Charlie than that song, and Brian recorded a whole album of Manson at his house.
