Brian mentioned that he and the rest of the group would often have prayer groups together before, during and after recording sessions. That is why, IMHO, they had so many heavenly, spiritual songs, like In My Room, The Warmth of the Sun, etc.

Mike Love is very egotistical and might not be the most pleasant at all times but I love him and his contributions to music. His lead vocals are kickass and we all know it!

I think it's a great song - love little vignette and interesting chord changes. It came out when punk happened so cancelled out. I played MIU to several 'punks' at the time and they actually thought quite good - whilst the critics lambasted it automatically!!
