This is a great pattern and tutorial. I found it quite helpful to change needle to a smaller one when doing the 2 single crochet and 3 slipstitches at the crown. Thanks for wonderful video.

I made your snowboard chunky hat last night. I love it. I used strand of off white and the second in a burgundy shade of red for the body, and a tim pom of only the red.

Marly, quick to I learned, if u do ur 1st & last stitch thru like a "regular" stitch, instead of the back loop, it gives u a better finished edge to ur hat (or whatever ur crocheting). Thanks for ur videos & tutorial's.

One of my favorite hats I've ever made. so comfy, warm, soft & really cute on. I used Wool Ease thick & quick in the color Storm Front and it turned out beautifully! fabulous hat!
2 years later: still one of my favorite hats. I have been using Hygee yarn. My fave for this hat due to its soft warm appearance. Plus this hat does not flatten your hair!!! Fabulous!!! It’s just loose enough to be extremely comfortable and using two strands of yarn prevents the need for lining. Love this hat and I’ve been making hats for years.

I could watch you for hours. I crochet so much my wrist hurts so , I've had to change to knife hold. But, when I see you crochet I really would like to revert back to pencil hold.
