    In this comprehensive video, we will guide you through the complete steps to crochet this adorable hat in size 6-12 months.
    The video begins by demonstrating how to crochet the unique crochet stitch pattern that creates the stunning ribbed texture of the Rocky Ridge Hat. We will show you how to work a row of half double crochet stitches in the back loop only (blo) and then a row of slip stitches to achieve this beautiful effect.
    The hat is worked flat from the side across, and the video will carefully illustrate how to seamlessly seam the hat together to create a neat and comfortable fit.
    Next, we will demonstrate the technique for adding a join-as-you-go ribbed band to the hat. This adds extra style and a snug fit around the ears.
    Finally, the video will show you how to close the top of the hat and add a snap style pom pom and sew on a personalized tag.
    Join us as we bring the Rocky Ridge Hat to life. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced crocheter, this video tutorial is designed to help you create a beautiful hat that will keep you cozy and stylish throughout the colder months.

    I have been following MJ’s work for only about a year now. Her tutorials are SO easy to understand and follow in my opinion. I appreciate how well thought out her videos are for all levels of crocheting. Thank you, MJ!! I will continue to follow your work. I love the patterns and recommendations, too 😊❤

    I love your designs❣️
    You are so talented but I do wish more crochet teachers who do tutorials for many of us who can’t read patterns & need a tutorial would do more of these hats for adult size heads & not babies?
    Most kids by the age of 7 can wear an adult size beanie hat & babies outgrow theirs very quickly.
    So we need many more adult size beanie tutorials Pretty Please??? 🙏🏼 😅

    At the beginning of the video we see a man wearing one (probably your hubby ;) and it seems to be shorter like a beanie. To achieve this do we cast on fewer stitches to make it shorter? Or make the band narrower? I am making it for my adult son.

    Just started this hat! I am making it with a dark colour so harder to see my stitches….but, this tutorial is sooo well explained! Not only do you show us the stitch, you explain why it is done and the look it will give. Tk you! After this hat, I’ll be knitting your other hat pattern…Winter Bliss Toque…starting early on Christmas gifts!

    I am excited to make this pattern. I have some yarn coming in that is a little bit different than usual. I'm exploring new textures, and weights. So just asking God "what do I do with this new yarn?" And then here we have a beautiful blessing, given by a beautiful blessing. Thank you so much. Have a great and blessed week to all.

    I can’t wait to make this hat for all 5 of my grandchildren for Christmas. This is the 1st time I’ve seen your channel and it’s absolutely amazing. I haven’t started the granny square yet because I find it intimidating lololol. I can’t seem to get the 1st part of the magic circle correct but, by looking at your patterns, you have a lot of beautiful patterns using the granny square so hopefully one of them will help me get it right ❤️🙏🤦‍♀️😆

    Hi I bought the pattern and see the different yarn substitutes but I am running out time and can’t wait for yarn to be delivered. Can I use a yarn that isn’t on the list but has similar weight? Just use the rectangle measurements to make the size in need?

    • @mjsoffthehook
      @mjsoffthehook  9 месяцев назад

      You can use any worsted weight yarn just make sure to adjust your hook size until you meet gauge for correct sizing.
