I have made hundreds of baby beanies from various tutorials & yours is the first tutorial I've used a slip stitch to join from the back stitch. This makes the beanie look so much nicer & there is no gaping hole. Thank you so very much

Omgosh! I have never found anyone who wraps their yarn like me until now! I only do one wrap on the index but that is subjective. I learned this for tension control when I first learned to crochet at around 9yrs old and have done it ever since

Hi, how do you increase for the larger sizes, it wasn't mentioned in the tutorial. Do you use more starting stitches? Or do you increase by adding during each round? If the latter, what pattern do you increase with after 1,1,2?

    Dear MJ,
I LOVE this beanie & I want to make one for my adult children & adult size grandchildren… unfortunately I am older & not good at following written patterns…😞
I wish this tutorial was for an average adult size head?
I understand about increasing the half double crochets in the beginning of making the hat, but I don’t know how many increases I should do before starting the star stitch?
    Please help me?
I know you’re very busy & I TRULY appreciate every tutorial you share with us❣️
I’d love to make these for Christmas.
I’ve seen so many beautiful beanie patterns but truly love this design ❤
    Blessings to all,
    Sheila

22:34 you have said we increase of total 40 stitches. But I count mine is 45. I guess from 20, increase 1-2-1-2 round makes to 30, but 1-2-1-2 from 30 will make it to 45?!!! I love this pattern, I keep making these hat for my grand daughters. We have twin girls. Thank you very much. I love your rose pattern too.
