I am so grateful that you walked through it step by step and were so thorough. I have never made anything like this before. I am new to crocheting so things are still hard for me, but I actually completed the hat. I am going to be a grandma for the fist time and want to make her a little hat ❤
Glad it was helpful and congrats to the grandma! I recently had a grand niece and cannot stop watching her videos and pictures because she lives far away. Babies are so adorable.
Appreciate how your video starts immediately on how to crochet the project with easy to follow instructions. So many others use up so much time with nonsense that I quit watching before they start Thank you
Finally! Someone normalizes using (and showing how to use) stitch markers- thank you! It may have seemed repetitive to keep counting and moving the markers, but it really helped! Great tutorial
I agree @lindsayy zubay I am a big fan of markers, and use them a lot. If they help you keep track of where you are, and what you are doing, they are a great tool 😊
I’m a beginner, I’ve only ever made blankets so I thought I’d try one of these for our family member who’s having a baby in a few days and I’m amazed at how simple this was! I didn’t make the ears but I plan to for my next project. Thank you for such a simple and easy to follow tutorial, I love it!
My yarn was a bit smaller so my hat came out too small the first time, so I tried again with 12 sc in the magic ring (instead of 8 like the video) and then followed the video and it came out great! Thank you!
I’m using a medium 4 yarn so it’s coming out tiny. Did you use the 12 sc instead of the 8sc for a child’s beanie? I’m making this one for a 1 month old baby so I just want to make sure it won’t turn out too big if I do the 12sc
You are the best crochet tutor! My favourite because you explain everything so clearly and slowly. Perfect for beginners like me. I made this hat and it is adorable. Thank you.
Yayyy thank you!!! This was so much fun and simple!! I’ve never actually completed a project until just now!! Happy one down one more to go! I’m having twins 🥰

Such an easy tutorial for a complete beginner! I have tried many times to crochet and this was the video that finally made it happen for me. Also the hat is so super cute 🥹
I wish there were videos with the different sizes although I know that would take too much time. I am such a visual learner. Tried reading through the steps on the blog and it was just too overwhelming.

Love how you go over every aspect. You made me happy because I can now do a magic circle. I am really glad you count the stitches because I was always confused about that. Love the ears.
Brilliant detailed tutorial. You worked at a great pace for beginners. Not sure i will put a tag on a newborn hat as not sure if it would be a bit rough!

omg thank you so much for this tutorial ! honestly the best tutorial ever, very sweet and very clear instructions. I enjoyed making a beanie for my nephew!! they're so cute haha x
You’re such a great teacher. As a beginner in the craft I really appreciate how clear your guidance is. You made every little detail make so much sense. Easy to follow along. Thank you!
Love the pattern and your detail instructions! To make the pattern slightly bigger than the 6-12 month size, would I add an extra round 4 (increase round) before all the 1 SC in each stitch?
Again my friend you have another on point tutorial. You sure is a master of your craft and I can listen and watch your videos all day. Your videos are inspiring and very easy to understand without all that ‘extra’ talking. Thanks for your time as I continue to 👀👀💕🌹🌹🌹💯
I just made this for my grandson. So clearly explained and I made it with no problem! Thank you so much. It turned out adorable! I would love to make one for my older grandchildren but I have no idea how to enlarge it. Would you consider making a pattern or video for toddler and then older children?
Love love the hat I made 3 infant hats but I'm trying to make mommy and baby matching hats, but I can't figure out on my own how to make the crown of the adult and how many stitches you need for the adult when making the length. Could you tell me how many rows for the crown and how to increase to get to part of making the length? That would be so great and helpful. I'm a beginner. Thank you ever so much
I am sorry, I haven't found the time to test the bigger sizes. You will have to add more rounds with increases to the crown until it measures 7"in diameter. Then you can work even until the hat is 8-1/2 inches in height.
I love these little baby beanies they are too cute. There were a few pandemic babies born in my family last year a group of 3 or 4 would make nice gifts. Thanks for sharing 👍.
Thank you for this! You do an amazing job explaining! And it’s so lovely-perfect timing since so many of my friends and family are pregnant right now 🤍

Hi! Love your videos! Strange question but if I made this for an adult woman would I just keep expanding with the 2 and 1 pattern for a few more rows, so it’s wider and closer to a larger circumference?
You will have to increase the sts between increases in each round. For example, if you have 2 sts between increases in the last round, next round will have 3 and so on.

Hi how would I do this on DK rather than chunky yarn? x
Thank you so much for explaining everything so carefully and clearly!! I have a question- can I finger crochet this or do I 100% need the 10mm needle?
Finger crochet would be too hard in the round and also would make loose stitches.
