Love this, my sister will be getting one for Christmas. We're both a little sentimental over a buffalo check because my grandpa always wore it so I know how much she will love it!!!
Wow, I can’t even believe that I completed a beautiful hat with these instructions and those on your blog for the adult size. I used two shades of green and cream. Brim and pompon are also cream. THANK you.
Great tutorial and beautiful pattern!!! I made this with Lion Brand Oh Baby Organic #2 yarn using 3.75 mm hook for brim and 4.00 mm hook for the body multiples of 8 it turned out perfect for newborn baby❤❤❤
I love this pattern. I’m working on my second hat. The first one I made looks beautiful. Your tutorials are so well done. I know you put a lot of time into your projects. Thank you so much. 🙋🏼♀️💜🇨🇦
Thank you so much for this tutorial/pattern it’s the next step up from the normal checker pattern I use and I’m obsessed!!! I’m also feeling confident in the extended single crochet, I’ve always been nervous to use! Thanks a bunch! ❤
What a cool looking hat! I’ll be making these for both of my sons and their fiancés for Christmas. Thanks for the tutorial and I’ll print out the pattern as well for the counts. I have to let you know MJ that you’re my favorite crochet creator here on RUclips. All of your patterns are so professional and beautiful! 😊 🧶
these types of hats always seemed to advance for me. I am what I call a intermediate beginner. LOL I think I actually may be able to make this hat. THANK YOU
Thank you MJ! I’m really enjoying this project! Just an FYI .. I bought one of the Furls hooks .. they are so beautiful but the neck is too narrow making it hard to pull stitch through. I switched back to my clover hook and yarn moves through like butter. Too bad .. the Furl hook is so beautiful!
Lol.. did i miss something in the tutorials?? After you get your rpws done… do you chain down to attach the two sides of the band together before you start the top???
😂 I missed it too! I went back and nothing. I was looking to see if someone else commented and got the answer. It's a beautiful hat and I'd like to get it right. Hats are the most impossible thing for me to get right, especially the band
Oh I love the colors that you used on these hats. Can you tell me the colors you used in the rustic hat that had a tweed red and brown in it with a off white color.
Love this beanie, thanks for sharing, but quick question, how do you keep the cap from fanning out? Yours is even stright up, mine always get wider 😞...⚘
Great Pattern! There are so many solid colors....what colors did you use in the red buffalo check? Dark Charcoal or Thunder? Are the two reds Red Hot & Burgundy? Thanks!!
Hi! I am making the adult size hat. I have 60 stitches around. My start and end colors are the same for the blocks. What do I need to do to change this?

I also looked to see if I missed how to join the ends after making the band... It seems that it was closed using single crochet stitches... ?
@@satiya2746I just stitched it up…it matched the rib stitching.

Hello dear, for baby size is 48 rolls. What about adult size?
Could I make this with lion brand bulky yarn quick and easy?
Your hat will come out much bigger. The hat should be made in worsted weight #4.
