On row 2, you should be ending the last stitch on a bpdc, not a fpdc. :) I'm making this following the pattern and video and felt it worth mentioning.

Thank you so much for making this video. It was really helpful. However, it was a little confusing. Firstly, the second row does not end with 2 front post double crochets. It ends with 1 back post double crochet. Secondly the written instructions are not the same as shown by you. In the instruction sheet the 3rd row is repeated 3 times more. However u jumped to the pattern. Once the pattern starts the first row of the pattern is supposed to end with a half double crochet. But you ended with 2 front post double crochets. Just wanted to politely show you where people might get confused just like I did

When I clicked the link to the pattern it was gone. Do you happen to have a new link to the hat? I love this video and pattern.

Hi Mikey. I see this pattern calls for a chain of 72 for a size4 yarn, but i have a size3. Is the chain in multiples of 6, 8 or 9 for this pattern?

You should creenshot the diagram. It's easy to see that 12 stitches in cluding: 5 stitches fpdc+bpd & 7 stitches cable. You can calcult basing on it. Plus one more cable or 2, minus just only apply on fpdc. Good luck 😂

Is it possible to do this pattern with a size 6 yarn? It's all I have but I love the look of the design

I’m having a very difficult time at row 3. My counts have been accurate but I’m still not getting to the last set of cable increase. I wasn’t able to find the diagram on the crochet crowd site either. So now I’m really stuck. How many cable increase sets are on round 3? Someone please help me or screen shit the diagram for me please and thank you!!

I did this hat for my husband and it came up a bit big - fortunately he likes to fold the edges up. How can I size it for a child?

I I'm following the pattern and the tutorial and the tutorial has 1 less stitch then the pattern shows So it might be a little confusing for a new crochet Person
