World Quests List is a more user-friendly, time friendly implementation of World Quest Tracker. It performs the same function, but shows the list all at once with none of the time waste of mousing over each icon, and includes filters at the top of the list.
Yeah WQ tracker is very buggy, half of the time it doesnt work, takes many seconds to load for each area, and puts some confusing markers in the quest list on the right. WQ list is 20x better even if it looks slightly older.
I'm a returning player from 6 years, maybe longer and decided to give war within a go, i stumbled across this video and just want to say thank you, your video was amazing and clear, i don't normally write comments on videos, I just felt as though i had to let you know that your doing an amazing job, you have a like and sub from me, keep up with the good work
If the base UI would let me change the bar anchor point I would would probably go without Elvui. But as it is, I like my bars to be a 3x4 with the first button being in the upper left but it's bottom right and there is no way to change it in the native UI.
re: DPS meters: There is only Details. If you're super casual (to the point you don't actually need a meter), then yes, they're all about the same. But once you get to the point you REALLY need a meter, Details is your only true choice. The difference between it and Recount is this: during downtime, Recount *STOPS* counting. So if a boss has a long RP section between phases, or you die, or any other thing in combat where you effectively stop, Recount stops counting; Details does not. This means Recount will give you an inaccurate, falsely-high number. There is no choice here, get Details. Skada hasn't been a serious option for a decade. lol It's basically a "smaller footprint" of Recount. But unless your PC is 20 years old, the difference is a complete non-issue. Get Details. :)
Skada was always a serious option for a decade. An easy experiment. Just compare Skada and Details in a M+ or in a Raid together. They both have roughly the same dps. You can even get the dps from the logs as a comparison and you will see all 3 are the same

I used to love Adibags and once it was no longer being supported i tried Betterbags but it just wasn't as good. Then i discovered Baganator and honestly it blows any other bag addon out of the water for me.
Its been since the end of MoP since I last played, and this has really helped me get more comfortable in getting the game where it looks clean to me! Thank you so much!

What about the weakaura companion app? That will let you automatically update WAs and plater mods, it makes expansion releases with lots of API changes much easier
The talent loadout thing sounds interesting, I'll give it a look. One thing I appreciate about Dragonflight is not even all of these are really "needed" now. I never liked interface mods that made WoW look less like an HD version of Warcraft 3. I get it if you showed up after 2008 or so and have no attachment, but I'm glad that the default UI is customizable enough for most people. Merged bags with search is also good enough that I don't bother with inventory addons either.

If you’re planning on doing this then set aside a sold time window to set this all up ideally for yourself. Don’t plan on just throwing it on in 15 mins.
Adibags is not supported anymore, but the same devs have made a new addon called BetterBags, does the same thing just a more modern style and features, Just incase someone didnt watch the whole thing and only checked his addon list :D
apart from DBM and details none of the others are really needed if people invest the time to learn their class and the fight mechanics...the rest are just really convenience rather than a need imo
I prefer [Sorted] for my bag addon. I very much like the list view of text items. The biggest benefit I get is when I search for something and instead of needing to decipher the icon I can see the actual name of what I'm looking for popup. Highly recommend it (it also has an icon option if you want)
Mmmm Better Bags looks interesting, might give that a try. The Talent Loadout manager though, I think it doesn't save your action bar loadouts, which is a bit of a pain when you swap between multiple specs / alts. I was using a different addon for talents but it couldn't save specific action bar loadouts per character / spec either until I found something called BTWLoadouts. It's a bit rough around the edges but gives some more granularity.
Great guide, really loving coming back to a functional and clean set up. Minor question though: What UI scale is Elv set to? I'm just noticing when using everything by default the Weakaura's don't line up with the name frames cleanly like in the example pictures and video.

I do really like Shadowed Unit Frames, but the one problem that I have with it is the fact that using the ping commands on a unit frame just ping the floor behind, unlike the default unit frames and even ElvUI, where it pings the character and their location instead. Does anyone have a way around that with either SUF or another unit frame addon? I've tried Pitbull as well and it has the same problem.

Could you let me know how to fix this or how to correctly use the Install from URL option which doesn't seem to be working. Your data base for searches seems huge compared to mine. I just downloaded it, and it doesn't seem to be finding sources for certain important addons (omnicd being one of them). I might check back later, but for now I'll be using Curseforge. Does look a lot better, admittedly. If it just needs an update or something, I'll be switching to it.
I love you plater profile. There is only one thing that makes me (and sometimes people playing with me on discord) crazy: the sound alerts. Sometimes it does not stop saying CC like every 1 second on some encounters. Can i easily deactivate it somehow?

This might be a beginner question but when i go to your drop box, its not showing something that looks like an import string, its just a massive wall of text and when importing it, it just says " could not decompress the data" was a mistake made on my part or my plater buggy?
Hello in your party frames each class has different color but when import your profile only name different color but frame all same color. How to fix that?
I've been using your plater profile for a long while now but I can't figure out why horde players names are always blue and they always show the guild name. Is there any way to stop that from happening? I have all players besides guildies and friends as a gray color, weird I know but it's how I do it and this is making me nuts.
Quazii - love your content keep up the good work brotha. Please don't take this the wrong way but I for one hate addons. I think while it can make the game "easier" it also makes players less skillful (in general) due to their lack of understanding the game and reliance on addons vs game/class mastery. I cannot stand weak auras and DBM, I only use details just so I can see who is pumping and who is not carrying their weight. I have been primarily been tanking since the beginning of SL and have gotten all the portals and consistently pushed to 3k+ IO mostly pugging so I would argue addons are by no means a necessity. I know a lot of people argue that WoW is poorly designed and is the reason people need addons but I have a hard time buying this argument. Perhaps I am just a classic/hardcore Andy at heart...who knows. Would love to hear your thoughts
It is Elvui but he disabled the extra information below. I think with the standard setting it shows friends online there. And as he said, he removed the minimap icons around it.

I personally don't use ELVUI anymore as the default UI handles 95% of what it offered so I save resources.
Same, although I had to get a Weakaura that makes the player and targets Health Bars fat af. Other than that, (alongside Bartender) it's good by me.

Always loved ARKinventory for bags, has a learning curve, but has so much more customization than any other bag addon
Uncle Quazii is back again! Baganator is the hot new thing for bags. Give that a try.
the part that I loved the most is that Quazii provided alternatives for the best addons

I don't think Elvui is a hog, it's just ugly, even more so now that Blizzard has updated the base UI so much.

Sorted is the best bag manager. You can swap from the traditional bag look to a list that you can sort and filter quickly.
BetterBags also has the same layout as Sorted and lets you list items by name, rather than grids of icons if you choose.
