Just got back into WoW I’m a veteran started playing in ‘04 quit in ‘17 I am going to save the names of the add ons for my somewhat “fresh new start” I subbed by the way I’m hunting for good add ons wish we had an add on that changes the HUD/UI to old school wow! But thank you for helping not just me but others who are seeking great add ons
I want to mention Plumber as one of my favorites. It doesnt do something major, but you feel the before after difference. (Adds previous bronze-silver-gold awards to dragonraces icons in npcs, shows each general reputation rank on severed threads rep, sorts crests visuals in npc vendors, gets rid of talking heads...)
Been following for a good while now, never really commented. But i love your energy, youre kind and entertaining and im glad you are enjoying wow again
I relate to this greatly, I cannot play without it and would agree it's a curse and a blessing, I find myself going off course and going down a rabbit hole for hours because I saw an ATT tooltip for a certain item, rep, or mount etc. in the middle of nowhere.
Thank you for doing this. I have played on and off for a long time and I am finally playing now. I haven't ever installed add-ons, but now I have a place to start investigating!
Love your enthusiasm!! Was in the hunt of the best addons, I was looking for two at least..three tops☝🧐..Well..I left with most of'em 🙈 Still don't know what to do with Narcissus, it feels like it's more for the lovely ones who makes videos, not for a regular like me..😅But anyhow.. This is the first video I've seen from you and I belive, strongly, that I'll be back ☺ Have a great day lovley!
Dialogue UI is wonderful for ease of reading, and a more dynamic camera angle when speaking to NPCs. Soon it will have a scrolling layout for multiple pages from in game books and what not, TTS, etc., and is made by the Narcissus dev Peter Yu! He's the best!
Great Video, I have most of these or something similar. One Addon I really like is called Immersion, it makes the quest text a lot more immersive and easier to read if you care about that sort of thing. I also really like an addon called "Skyriding/Dragonriding Glider" it changes the dragonriding bar into a compact circle and it also shows your speed... I couldn't believe how helpful it was to understand how dragonriding speed works. I went from barely getting silver medals in races to getting like 10 seconds under gold sometimes.
Thank you for this list. I will definitely be using some of these (some I already do). A couple of other addons I find useful, or just cool are Immersion which turns your quest text into a little mini-movie instead. Definitely makes me read the quest text now so I get more immersed (lol) in the story. If you're a tmog guru like me, Can I Mog It? is extremely useful at keeping track of which transmog gear you've already collected, which gear has the same look from other piece or just which ones you still need.
As a casual player of many years, I've only dabbled in to mods a tiny bit, however I've been hitting more of the achievements in TWW, and so so many of these mods will help me tremendously. Thank you for this video!
Nice list, if a little heavy on the QoL side of things. Ones that I feel no list like this should be without: * Weak Auras * VuhDo (or equivalent) * GTFO Will be adding some of your recommendations to my installed mods for sure! :) Thank you for making this video.
Fantastic job and Addons (I had most already (and many more), but thanks to you I added 3 or 4 more). Great job presenting them. Looking forward to more content.
'Capping' If you enjoy pvp BG's, it give you timers for various things, you can even link a timer in chat so everyone else know if there's an issue to be addressed, I have quite a few addons, but Capping is one that I'd personally consider essential.
I play with a controller, so console port is a godsend. And I also use storyline that completely changes questing to conversations with NPCs and interaction beyond massive blocks of text and click a button. Storyline is a game changer
Thanks, 3 new addons added! One of my must have is GTFO. All the things are a curse, because now I really have to get anything, including other type of gear, as wow changed the way anything adds to collection!
I use to have an addon manager called Too Many Addons that let you load addon profiles... finished dailies and going to the AH, switch to the AH profile, join LFR, load the raid profile, running old content? swap to that profile. I think I have simple addon manager now. may I suggest, if you read this, and your good at slogging through the options... Arkinventory for a bag addon, like baganator... but you decide what gets grouped up and how.
I watched your videos when I played FFXIV. Glad to see you also play Wow.

For me I have a few must have addons: - scrolling combat text & scrolling combat text damage: Both show the combat text more visually allow me to understand better what I'm doing if something is wrong - WIM: Makes it easier for me to keep track of chats and shows the previous chat when someone whispers me - BetterInbox: Adds an openall button with an option which messages to include in open all - Prat: General chat box enhancements and notification sounds for chat messages in e.g. party and guild chat - Plater: Better nameplates that can be customized akin to WeakAuras - Plexus: A replacement for Grid1; An addon that shows the raid/party in a grid of small boxes that indicate the status of the member with life, if they are attacked and what debuffs they which can be dispelled and/or if they are from a boss There are more but I don't want to the list to long. But what I want to leave is that not all addons can be found on Curse because of the shady things that happened there since Overwolf took over.
Just joined your guild, and so excited to experience the raiding in a guild, that i have not done for years....like 12 years i think :( The addons help soooooooo much Thank you :)
Mount Journal Enhanced shows rarity and when you got the toys, pets and mounts, how long and the distance of mount you've ridden it, and adds new filters and display orders. Kind of like Narccisus but for mounts, pets and other collectables. Then theres Cell, which is basically the other popular healer raid frame addons combined into one.
As a mage, I like the sheep monitor which shows the time left on a polymorph target as a progress bar. I think it will work with other classes, for example the warlock banish.
I love addons too -- I have some of the ones you listed, but I REALLY don't like playing the game without the Z-Perl UI. I've been using Z-Perl for yeeears and when I try to play without it, it's much less enjoyable for me :) Also I like to have data immediately visible, so I love Tiitan Panel. I prefer Bagnon, but have used Baganator and like that one too. I want to try OPie though!! Looks interesting!!
Hi Zep, welcome back to wow. Another addon that once you use it, it is hard to live without is plater. Anyone who wants to do anything but base level content will find this very helpful. DBM can actually be replaced by the weakaura packs from the world first guilds once they are done, not to mention all the other things weakauras can do for you.
WarmUp is a must have. It shows you how much loading time each addon adds so you know how many seconds extra you have to wait because of an addon. Removing addons that add a lot of time makes it so much nicer tho play with all the different loading screens
Are you a Libra? You remind me so much of me LOL, you even use the same phrases I do I love this, you are part of the tribe!!! This video was so informative I used all these except for Leatrix and omg I am sick of the lucky do's and loot!!! Auto delete was just chef's kiss! Great job on this video :)
Absolute must try addons: 1. Dialogue UI -Changes and makes quest windows more immersive (awesome addon) 2. - VoiceOver-Mod(Retail) - VoiceOver Sounds- WarWithin (en_US) If you are into the actual story of the quests but hate reading it, this addon uses AI to voiceover the quest dialogue (it is amazing) 3. No Auto Close - Simple addon that stops windows closing when you open another window, allowing multiple windows open at the same time 4. BtWQuests- Great addon for tracking quest chains and the order of the quests needed for them. Great for loremaster stuff and works well with TomTom 5. BetterBags is also another great bag addon that sorts all of your items into their own categories to easily find things
Hmm, thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to try BTWQuests, because I've been going after Loremaster on my lower level toons, and sometimes it's hard to find where a quest chain that I need starts.
Whoa there's some cool stuff here I didn't know about, like Leatrix muting sounds I don't like! Thank you! Farewell, horrendous Jewelcrafting scraping noises.
One thing everyone should know: DBM uses a LOT of memory. There is another addon, BigWigs, that does the same thing an uses much less memory. There is also a dungeon version: LittleWigs. While DBM does both, Big and LittleWigs together still use less memory. Also, IMO Tome Of Teleportation is a much better way of controlling your hearths and teleports. Any port available to your character, including collected direct dungeon ports, will be in there. It even covers items you might ned to equip, like the old Karazhan shoes or the Cartel Xy item. Opie is still good for many other things though and I do recommend that one as well. Baganator: Not a fan. I hate "one bag" addons. Personally I use ElvUI and the bag mod included works great. If you like "one bag" it does that by default and you have to turn it off.
I switched to BigWigs & LittleWigs a few weeks ago after using DBM for roughly 15+ years. Now Im wondering why I never bothered to try it earlier. It looks cleaner, less memory, the sounds are more pleasant.
Rematch, Battle Pet Breeds, tdBattlePetScripts, and BattlePetBinds... then go down the rabbit hole on Xu-Fu with an army of rabbits to become The Very Best Shirt.

ATT is great if you like to collect things but are not a completionist. If you ARE a completionist, it'll ruin your life, and this is not a joke.
I relate to this greatly, I cannot play without it and would agree it's a curse and a blessing, I find myself going off course and going down a rabbit hole for hours because I saw an ATT tooltip for a certain item, rep, or mount etc. in the middle of nowhere.
I'm not a completionist, but I can feel the seriousness of this comment.
It's a blessing/curse for the transmog market on the ah as well by exposing how many items share the same model and if they are unobtainable.
and it all starts with playing happy melodies whenever you collect something
I would only bother being a completionist if i went back in time to when the game released. It's not worth it for new accounts
Man I honestly didn't think I'd watch the whole video but these add-ons and you were amazing
