I have to ask, is there anyone who actually LIKES Echoing Reprimand? I hated it from the second it was introduced in SL. It's a deeply un-fun ability. And it works terribly with Outlaw since I often get more than one combo points from my attacks. Making pinpointing a specific amount of combo points an incredibly finicky task. I will celebrate the day when they finally remove that ability from the game. @@ElitenOfficial Bro, all three specs are a joke. Blizzard is a joke in regards to rogue. This expansion looks so great but getting forced out of a class because of bad design is just sad. I do not care about dps. Rogues will probably once again rock the boards. But THREE passive hero talent trees is just a joke. Yes they are all passive. Coup de grace is not visually attractive. It is really sad to see them spitting on one of the most thematic classes of WoW. They could have been much more creative.
Excited to see your work on the "how to choose a main" content you mentioned, but I am going with mage. All three specs just look like good ol' fashioned fun
I've been a ret pally since TBC, but i also always love DKs. So my main two are in a good spot. Though im leaning towards Evoker and Monk for my gathering alts, for zoomy chill palate cleansers.
It feels like a pipe dream but I really hope they bake the DF tier set into the Demon Hunter talents. It feels so weird manually throwing glaives when I could be spending fury.
Looong time feral main here, experimentally the new feral changes don't really feel like that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. It's a little chunkier now, but not that big of a deal. However what actually is a bit wonky is the class tree overhaul, with the loss of Astral Influence (RIP the fun was detected) and with it alot of the passive choices don't feel good or too specialized to take which leads to taking more even more active abilities to trying and find keybinds in my already jam-packed bars.
I'm an Evoker main since it came out as I love dragons and DPS, Support & Healer which Evokers actually do very great at these three. So I keep playing them as main for years to come. I have alts anyway for other classes like Druids, Warlocks, Hunter, Priest, Shaman for professions and different kind of playstyle.
Personally, I haven't had a hard time choosing a main: I will always be a demonology warlock main - especially now! My biggest struggle is limiting myself on alts: I've earlier had both Enhancement Shaman, and Frost DK as alts to my warlock, but now I'm also looking at both Arcane Mage and Shadow Priest, and even an Outlaw Rogue on top of the Shaman and DK. They're all just fun to play!
Probably going Ret Pally myself, is pretty much the go-to class for any fantasy game i play. Not overly fond of Rider of the Apocalypse; if the horsemen were just random undead/DK's rather than 'named' characters, i'd be fine with it - didnt know Scalecommander got temp minions though; was already looking at that hero class as a secondary 'toon to play. Also have to say, seeing everyone Skyriding on their fave mounts is really cool, very nice to see a mix of flying mounts instead of the same dragons of DF.
3/4 of my passed mains being strong candidates for War Within feels great. Balance, Unholy, Elemental, and Beastmaster. I played BM for both SL and DF. So I think I'll put my undead Elvirah on the shelf for a while. I'm strongly considering my unholy belf, especially if I keep him for Midnight. Rocking up to Quel'thalas with Wellish would feel great. I've only logged back onto him to do the Heritage Quest, so I think he's actually still at Silvermoon.
My main has been my Priest since TBC and will remain so in TWW. Just wished Professions' learnt recipes become account wide so I can change it without worrying about really rare to no longer obtainable recipes disappearing...
The list is actually absolutely spot on. No criticisms actually. I am going to main Shaman because every spec feels great and I think tank shaman is coming soon.
Eh, calling aldrachi a fine tree with a fun minigame is a pretty wild and unpopular take. To each their own tbf, but if that is his personal opinion then he should probably mention it's very different from the opinion of almost everyone else who has played it.
Except for SoD I haven't played a Warriro as anything except for Prot since TBC. Finishing all the quests in every zone and I'm mostly done w/Hallowfaust but hit 80 before I left Rising Deps. Still haven't died from a fight yet including some delves. Really enjoying the Mountain Thane talents. All passive, just make me into Thor kinda. :)
Mage class frost fire has a massive problem. It literally doesn't proc fire spells if you're ice. If you're fire frost never activates. It's a known issue and the devs said they plan to fix it which is still not fixed. Compared to all other classes, the pay out on mage is just lacking for the high level of perfection needed to play the class.
Destro Lock (Human) Main since TBC/Wrath (2.4 Fire spec basically and especially once Chaos Bolt happened). Probably will go Hellcaller, but I setup a second new Destro (Void Elf) with a different build for Diabolist.
I have either been playing a pally or a monk healing for my groups. I will probably main the monk because they look super fun and have most of the rest enjoy delves
Probably betting on classes with both, healer and dps specs. I find it more fun. I'm one of the druid fans, I can always help friend with whatever they need. I'll also lvl a priest
I'm torn between maining BM hunter because I like how easy it is to play solo a lot of the time and get myself into trouble fighting stuff I probably shouldn't, or playing shadow priest since it sounds fitting for the new story.
My Warband def gonna be Hunter/Evoker/Shaman/Druid. Its what i usually play anyway and nothing got enough of a shake up to make me consider otherwise. From a PvP standpoint im hearing a lot of differing opinions from Bellular's as well. Boomkin is apparently in a really good PvP spot and with Solo Q RBGs/Arenas and M+ being likely my focus, its looking like a solid option.
Definitely feeling Protection Warrior, and probably Mountain Thane for that. Not only is is thematic for my Dark Iron, but Prot warr is quite tanky at the cost of self sustain which has been nerfed on other tanks anyways. Couple this with the +12 key changes, and I think tanky tanks are going to be effective.
Unfortunately for Ele you mentioned the fire build a lot but they nerfed it to the ground to the point where we are doing lightning builds for both raid and M+ and its not worth pressing lava burst outside of after primordial wave for the haste buff because it got gutted so hard.
I'm so glad someone actually sees the state of the druid class as a whole especially the feral druids. Some in the feral community thinks ferals are "OP". I think they are confused that topping in their personal DPS meters against newer players is the only proof they need to determine ferals are Gods. LoL.
Ferals, as always, will be overlooked in endgame PvE because other DPS specs will exist- and so does rDruids and Bears, making feral deadweight. Meanwhile in PvP they're a wreaking ball. WDYM?
Main will be what it's been since MoP really. Windwalker monk. Not really changed from that at all. Whether or not I do Brewmaster again is not sure as I only did that as well back in MoP also. Not done Hunter since WOLK And not done Druid since TBC and again in Cataclysm. Thankfully the warband thing will just let me do more stuff on the monk and help to gear up and all the alts when I get around to levelling those up slowly during the expansion.
I think I am sticking with my BM hunter. As it is the easiest for me the do good DPS on while as a GM dealing with the drama that can come with raiding. :) Worked for me in DF, will stick with it in TWW. Possibly try out MM.
Fatebound assassination specifically feels very good to me, as a former rogue main coming back to it. My old main subtlety is still doodoo though, which is sad. They should just bring back legion era sub, it was perfect back then.
i will be picking the worst class to level up 1st that's how i have always play WoW and you are a smart ass that make us have to watch this all the way to the end ( not taking it back)
Going Pally and Hunter as always. But will likely change druid to monk . And have Mage Priest as the last main played characters. Hard to realy decide. So i let the tier sets decide for me 😅
DH feels like it was forgotten about. The class has a lot of issues, especially with Havoc. As a DH main I feel like I’ll either have to find a raid spot as a Tank or find a new class to main. Warrior looks good.
Disappointed in the removal of tranq being able to be combined with (what I call) the circle jerk for resto druid but from the timelines that I have been playing, resto druids haven't really seen a lot of favoritism anyway.
@@kain1638 Nothing to recover from. We got demoted from godlike to demigod. Completely justified nerfs, and we're still very strong at max level on beta, even after the nerf.

@@SlayerdudetoI absolutely hate the breath build and made me quit playing my DK in S2. Just couldn’t keep up with any other class unless you were sweating your ass off keeping that runic power up.
I like to play a try a new class as main every expansion, so it's either Warlock or Shaman for War Within I think. It does kinda pain me that DK and Paladin both look so good but I've already mained them before (in Legion and MoP/WoD), but one of them might be my main alt.
retail has so many issues but one they could do to instantly make the game more fun is by removing procs from the game or at least most classes and just have it be part of a certain class but not as a game mechanic. i play these games to relax but procs are so annoying they're random and you have to constantly look at your actions bars for one to happen it just isn't fun or relaxing.
I’ve heard guardian is quite a strong tank, while warrior dps is middling at best from a competitive M+, perhaps raid rewards those specs differently, but I think it’s worth mentioning the difference between fun to play and effective to play

Hello Bell and gang! Thanks again for the content. I think I am going Prot Pally as a main. As far as alts: shadow priest and ret pally.
I've actually been enjoying dark ranger. It's allowed me to effectively use aimed shot quickly, rapidly throwing out heavy smacking abilities.
Rogue treatment alpha/beta/tww launch has been borderline criminal...
Wonder how the class lead got away with it? Basically phoned it in.
But they are op tho…
Rogues forgot to turn off stealth. Easily done!
Well I don't think outlaw rogues have much of a leg to stand on when it comes to complaining about "borderline criminal"!
@@Junebug89 Nor arm, since they were the most affected by the melee range nerf
I'm an Evoker main since it came out as I love dragons and DPS, Support & Healer which Evokers actually do very great at these three. So I keep playing them as main for years to come. I have alts anyway for other classes like Druids, Warlocks, Hunter, Priest, Shaman for professions and different kind of playstyle.
Will you be playing early and what content can we expect in the days between normal launch? Excited now!
Like always I am playing Assa/Outlaw Rogue and Affli/Destru WL. Doesn't matter if Rogue is in the beginning of the addon a lil bit weak.
Frost DK, Dev. Evoker, and Mage (any spec). They are all insanely fun to play.
Shadow being untouched is def not a good thing and what a huuuuuuuge shame it is that Archon is anywhere near relevant.
I might keep playing my Prot Paladin, but I've made one of everything just in case!
Heavily considering as main: Unholy DK, Frost Mage
Potential main/primary alt: Affliction Wlock, Outlaw Rogue
Alts: Arms Warrior, TBD Shaman
Destro Lock (Human) Main since TBC/Wrath (2.4 Fire spec basically and especially once Chaos Bolt happened). Probably will go Hellcaller, but I setup a second new Destro (Void Elf) with a different build for Diabolist.
I have either been playing a pally or a monk healing for my groups. I will probably main the monk because they look super fun and have most of the rest enjoy delves
2:11 CLOTTING UP THE TALENT TREE I SEE YOU
im probably gonna rock with either mage or paly! might go ahead with my dh tho, ive REALLY been enjoying dh
Probably betting on classes with both, healer and dps specs. I find it more fun. I'm one of the druid fans, I can always help friend with whatever they need. I'll also lvl a priest
This sure is a video Bellular has ever made!
I’ve been a rogue since vanilla…it just seems wrong to change now. Trying to ignore the noise
I don’t think he’s talking about parsing or dps. He is referring to class design and play style
Having played the rogue on the ptr. People sleeping on outlaw rogue. That spec is fire
My choice is a little easier now... I will play Warrio (1st Tank and Fury), 2nd will be Mage (Frost) and 3rd will be Rogue (Outlaw).
Balance is amazing because it is so simple now. Was a frost mage player but it got too complex for me since dragonflight
pretty happy with that 'clotting' line huh? I was too, Belluar.
My main will still be Havoc Demon Hunter.
My three alt favorites, will be Shadow Priestess, Elemental Shaman and Protection Paladin.
Resto Shammy main with an Unholy dk dps Alt. Can’t wait to summon pudge to devour my enemies.
im so happy that the only spec I enjoy playing (outlaw) got horrible changes and lost a lot of things :D
WDYM?
cant believe they still haven't fixed kill-me spree after all these years
Main will be what it's been since MoP really. Windwalker monk. Not really changed from that at all.
Whether or not I do Brewmaster again is not sure as I only did that as well back in MoP also.
Not done Hunter since WOLK
And not done Druid since TBC and again in Cataclysm.
Thankfully the warband thing will just let me do more stuff on the monk and help to gear up and all the alts when I get around to levelling those up slowly during the expansion.
How can you NOT have timestamps in a vid like this :(
I think I am sticking with my BM hunter.
As it is the easiest for me the do good DPS on while as a GM dealing with the drama that can come with raiding. :) Worked for me in DF, will stick with it in TWW. Possibly try out MM.
Monk is the least played class because they don't use their weapons and their attack animations are goofy. 10:13
Haha that exact reason I don’t like play monk
Yup, this has always bothered me.
legit same
Was'nt there talk about a Glyph that lets you use Weapon animations?
@DD-jr4vt back in May. No idea what happened. And I think it was one ability.
Rogue feels amazing.. I don’t think it’s as bad as you lay it out to be.
We’ll see it on mythic +.
So i let the tier sets decide for me 😅
as a rogue main.. this hurts. i'll be going monk to start this go around.
I don’t think this is accurate.. my rogue feels very strong.. we’ll see in mythic +, but my assassin rogue feels very fluid
My assassin rogue is kicking ass. Caring my dungeon groups in terms of damage in aoe and single target.
@@wikibobby same! The rotation is smooth and cleave is a lot easier and fluid. Single target is just smaaaaaash.
I can't decide. I need a healer to main with a strong/fun DPS spec. Could be monk, paladin, priest or shaman. Been maining holy priest since Legion.
DK Strong start of every season and proceeds to be gutted to unplayable by the end
already got hit in prepatch, will not recover
@@kain1638? It's still in the top. All specs
@@kain1638 Nothing to recover from. We got demoted from godlike to demigod. Completely justified nerfs, and we're still very strong at max level on beta, even after the nerf.
Frost is going to be the only one to be gutted. i dont understand why frost has been stuck in breath build for this long while unholy is the one to get the buffs lmao
@@SlayerdudetoI absolutely hate the breath build and made me quit playing my DK in S2. Just couldn’t keep up with any other class unless you were sweating your ass off keeping that runic power up.
Maybe I'm choosing poorly but I like the idea of the lunar bear as well as the void reaver shadow
I like to play a try a new class as main every expansion, so it's either Warlock or Shaman for War Within I think. It does kinda pain me that DK and Paladin both look so good but I've already mained them before (in Legion and MoP/WoD), but one of them might be my main alt.
awesome video! you guys did a great job. I will definitly start as DK Blood/Unholy (Main Since wotlk) maybe play something different S2
Please pick what you want and find the coolest. Dont worry about dps they all are viable for all content. thats it
retail has so many issues but one they could do to instantly make the game more fun is by removing procs from the game or at least most classes and just have it be part of a certain class but not as a game mechanic. i play these games to relax but procs are so annoying they're random and you have to constantly look at your actions bars for one to happen it just isn't fun or relaxing.
I’ve heard guardian is quite a strong tank, while warrior dps is middling at best from a competitive M+, perhaps raid rewards those specs differently, but I think it’s worth mentioning the difference between fun to play and effective to play
