  • 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel Excursion does Engineer Pass, Cinnamon Pass, California Gulch, and Mineral Creek, on the way to completing the Alpine Loop.
    We had some Epic Campsites on the Engineer Pass and Mineral Creek Trails. Complete with deer, waterfalls, deadly cliffs, and hypoxia. Never in my life did I think anyone could be too out of shape to sleep, but there I was, living the dream. But despite not being able to sleep without asphyxiating, we had a great time. The weather was good and the Excursion was comfortable and reliable as always.
    This 2000 7.3L Power Stroke Ford Excursion is equipped with a Carli Suspension Super Duty Radius Arm Suspension, and Super Duty Dana 60 up Front, 4.30 Gears and Air Lockers from Yukon Gear and Axle, A1 Transmissions Stage 1 4R100, Tom Wood's Driveshafts, Trail Ready Beadlocks, BFG KM3 37x12.50x17s, SSBC-USA Brakes, Buckstop Bumpers, Warn 16.5 Ti-S Winch, KC Lighting, a KC300X Stage 2 Turbo, Full Force Diesel Stage 3 Injectors, Fuel Supply by Strictly Diesel, CNC Fabrication HPOP, Riff Raff Diesel bling all over, and is tuned by Jelibuilt Tuning.

    That’s not a Georgia boy problem. If you haven’t been tested for sleep apnea, you might want to consider it. Thick neck and big chest make you a prime candidate. Be careful brother. It’s nothing to mess with.

      I actually do have sleep apnea and wear a CPAP. I’ve just been slacking on my fitness for the past few years. I just made some fitness and diet changes to hopefully get the combat chassis back in serviceable condition. Thanks 👍

    Wow that was one scary looking road! What would of happened if someone were to be driving in the opposite direction, who would of had the right of way?😯 It's bad enough seeing that road could of broke off the edge anytime!
    Anyway, thanks for taking us along that was some beautiful scenery, now I don't have to go in person.😁

    • @freedomworx
      @freedomworx  10 месяцев назад +1

      Well most of those roads have been there for many decades, so they aren’t likely to fail if they haven’t already. But there are lots of places that you just have to back up to find a good place to pass. Technically, the driver going uphill has the right of way, but you have to be flexible and realistic, because sometimes the driver with the right of way has a much shorter distance to reverse to find a good spot. Generally everyone yields to me on the trail, just like the biggest boat has the right of way in the water 😂

    I attempted engineer pass back in June. The snow was still too deep. I had to turn around about 2 miles from the summit where the bulldozers were working to clear the road of 6’ high snow

    • @freedomworx
      @freedomworx  10 месяцев назад +1

      It was still closed in July, it’s technically still closed today. I did it last year though. Said I would never do it again in the Excursion…but was totally prepared to do it anyway had it been open.
