Popped into the supermarket for some brown rice and this tune was pumping out. I'd completely forgotten about it but now it's gone right back to the top of my playlist.

One of my favorite songs ever
I saw them play this on a rerun of Jools Holland the other night, and have been absolutely HOOKED on this track. I wasn't a huge Snow Patrol fan, but this song has a driving, rockin' quality that reminds me of Wire or Television--unlike Snow Patrol's more typical emotional ballads that I'd heard previously. This is simply a beautifully written rock song. And those crunchy guitar chords in the bridge get me every time.
He's singing about his love for Belfast; I'm similarly "in love" with my home of the last 24 years, San Francisco. I find myself singing this song as I walk the streets of my city--it's a great soundtrack for that!
+Andrea Waterstreet I didn't like this song at first, but it's actually a good song, and it has a very obvious Foo Fighters vibe. :) The same chords, the sudden stops in the chorus...

Woah - I seriously loved this tune back in the day. Reminds me of a lost connection I still sadly miss & regret. For some reason it popped up on some random playlist today & here I now am smiling but deeply missing the one I let go of. Such a great great tune.

I had Janice Long on the radio + she was playing an unknown song + I thought this is brilliant but what is it. I couldn't effing remember who it was. Finally when she said it was Run by Snow Patrol I started crying because my memory is so effed up now. Anyway I've played Spitting Games + this one my two favourite Snow Patrol songs I won't forget them I promise.

I don't know if the stop-motion animation represents anything in this video, but it's sure a damn good example of how to use it effectively. Same goes for the music, it's such an amazing piece. It's clearly about my glorious city of Stettin.
