  • I know that there are many thinking this is a ridiculous comparison. I get it. But I think you'll see why I compared these two cameras and let's face it....you're getting bored with all the straight forward reviews about this new camera. Enjoy.

There isn't anything to add to what you already mentioned, it’s an interesting comparison (obviously not apples to apples) I’ll just say that for now I’m keeping my X-T4 and see what the future X-T6 has to offer. On a separate note, did you sell the X100V?

Agree, sticking with the xt4 and waiting to see what the 6 will be. I did sell the v.

I'm thinking all cameras from all brands are only incremental in improvements now. I have a 4 year old nikon and I don't think there would be much of a difference if you did your testing, great vid btw. I really enjoyed your methodology and logic

Thank you. Yes, I think you’re right. Improvements to cameras are subtle for the most part. A camera that is 5+ years old can still be fantastic.

Interesting comparison. My answer to your question... is it worth it? Nope... no digital camera is worth the $$ you have to spend. I just had my 47 y.o. film camera serviced for less than $150 and I can still make photos and I don't have to worry (yet) about the latest software or computer to process them on. But I'm an old guy yelling.

Agree. Thanks for watching. I tried to do something different than everyone else.

I would say that for your particular application given in this video, no, a camera like the R5m2 isn't needed and if that is your entire bag, then be happy with what you have. You can be happy that the Sony a1, a9m3, and R1 also aren't any better for this application. But, as i"m sure you know, these cameras are used in many different ways for many different applications, and in those is where you may find some differences. You could also have compared the R5M2 against the Canon R7 (a $1300 or so 32 MP crop sensor camera) and asked the exact same question. They will compare well in some applications (for example, I do macro with flash with both of these and there is not discernible difference). Why does Canon bother making both of them? I won't comment further as I know very little about your fuji camera, but I do know the R5 well and will be getting my R5M2 soon. Perhaps had I ordered mine from Spartan photo I'd have the one you are testing right now. :) I do have some things I'm going to try to use them for soon. Take care.

Agree fully. Thanks for the insight and thoughts. And thanks for watching.
