ALL OUR MINI PATIO PONDS! Easy Japanese Rice Fish Mini Pond

  • A tour of ALL MY MINI PATIO PONDS. Plus, I set up a new, simple Japanese medaka rice fish mini pond today. Rice fish may still be hard to get outside of Japan but here, they are one of the most common pet fish. Medaka Rice fish are super hardy and they can live outside during the cold winters where the surface of the water freezes. It's pretty amazing.
    Today I set up a new little pond, very simple and something that anyone can do. I used a wabikusa in this set up. Wabikusa are also not so common in other countries I think but you can use any type of plant you want whether its just lily pads, stem plants, foreground plants, floating plants, anything works! I hope you enjoyed this video :)

    • @ributsuria
      @ributsuria 4 года назад

      And if that lucky durian tree does grow healthy... His uncle should find a good place for that tree to mature and bear fruit..especially a place far away from human traffic...you know... from falling fruit incidents and fruit thieves XD ....though i doubt there would be any thieves who wants to steal an overly-ripe "fragrant" fruit in Nippon Land

    • @ributsuria
      @ributsuria 4 года назад +1

      @@soluiz 5 years fruiting maturity are for those grown from plant cuttings or grafts from the matured donor trees. Durian trees grown naturally from seeds takes even longer than 9-10 years. And the fruits from the first 2-3 harvest years are not even premium quality yet.

    The plant in your Wabikusa is a Sagittaria latifolia (called
    water arrow).
    It's a plant which does not fear winter frosts, but which loses its leaves and reborn in spring thanks to a small bulb. Very common in some area in France, and popular in water ponds ;)

    Your uncle is such a wonderful soul! He reminds me of my late grandpa who also had a durian tree that he loved dearly! Tell your uncle to plant it directly in the soil, so it grows big and actually bears fruit. My grandpa also raked dead leaves below beside the durian tree to make it bear fruit-and it actually worked, we would have like 3 or 4 durians a year-, maybe you can tell your uncle that too (but when the durian plant is bigger, lol, i dont want him to burn his durian plant)

    If that were my tank I would have a nice school of cpds or chili rasbora or some scarlet badis would be really awesome as well I had two of them and absolutely loved them. Those are some of my favorites. Good luck !

    Can't think of any better candidates for the tank than Angelfish.

      I’ve already added fish into that tank ruclips.net/video/6W-pVRSa5oY/видео.html I don’t think that angelfish in a 15 gallon tank is a good idea..
