    Priceless video, thanks so much for your helpful information, I’ve been looking for a video like this for a long time, I was with LANDSTAR until February 2023, stay safe out there. Thanks.

    Those rates per mile actually drops though after you factor LS getting their cut.

    • @highwaypitmaster
      @highwaypitmaster  Год назад +1

      Yep! The fuel surcharge is included in the rate as well

    Quick question, do you have to have your own or they provide when you're hauling?

    • @highwaypitmaster

      Your own trailer? If that is your question, you do not need to have your own trailer.

    hi, can you negotiate some these rates ?

    • @highwaypitmaster
      @highwaypitmaster  Год назад +1

      You’re not able to completely negotiate the rate directly with the broker. However, your agent can negotiate for you on your behalf. You have the ability to negotiate money to be broken out from the line haul, such as tolls stops and loading and unloading fees.

    Just to confirm landstar takes their cut from the actual rate and the o/o gets 100% of the fuel surcharge right? So if a load you show on the load board is $3/mi they’re not taking their cut off of the whole $3

      Are you under landstar authority or under your own running with landstar? And if you are with them do the provide insurance? Or do you? Looking to get in with the blue star.

    • @bryant071
      @bryant071 Год назад +1

      I run under landstar Athourity, yes they offer insurance and you pay it weekly, they issue plates and you pay it back!! All in all landstar is a pretty good outfit to work for, yes rates are low right now but they are anywhere you go

    Hey Pitmaster, is it possible to still bring home 4-5k a week in this market if I run 4-5 loads a week?
    I stay out 4 weeks at a time

    • @highwaypitmaster
      @highwaypitmaster  Год назад +1

      Yes you can if you run consistently like it seems you do. You should do great. Do know 4-5k would be after fuel expenses. So it could be 3-4k from time to time.

    My brother over in the east u said the loads was good no no the loads was going 800 and less 1700 - 65% = 1105 😮 that’s no money bro to hold loads for 2days 😢 at least run the numbers on a few in the east … don’t get me wrong love 💕 the videos lots of info but the east numbers are shitty go back and look

    • @highwaypitmaster
      @highwaypitmaster  Год назад +1

      I agree with you, sir. I said the same thing if it wasn’t for the amount of days you had to hold those loads. Those will be good loads. Therefore, you need to try and negotiate earlier deliveries. I said the same thing you’re saying.
