Stretch!! I woke up at 2am this morning saw your video post. Welcome back brother 😊. Man I thought you stopped trucking lol. Good to see you, you look well rested. Great video this morning, lots of info. I just hit my 1yr mark with scnn and sfi. Love this company and the load board. Yes your so right what's good for you may not be good for others. I gotta say this is one of your best videos. Great job, keep them coming. You have been one of my mentors sense I started this owner operator dream. Yes the fuel discount here at scnn STILL sucks. Lol. I will be making that move to mud flap. Alot of drivers here use them. Like 👍 your video keep them coming brother. Hope your family is well. Take care be safe, I always look for you out here. Hammer down stretch!!
Man I still got several more years of trucking before I can go anywhere. Congrats on your 1 year and stay safe out there.
Hey man nice to see you back. Travis is my rep as well good guy.
My old rep retired and Travis is my new rep. He does seem to be a good guy
Awesome to see a new video
More to come!
Great video sir.
Hey stretch! Great video. Been a while… glad to see you still getting it done! I wanted to ask you a few things pertaining to LS but wanted to know how I can contact ya personally? Got an email or a way I can contact ya??
I apologize in advance but I just can’t help it. If one was playing beer pong listening to this and took a shot every time you hear the word “um” by the end of it you’d be totally wasted.
New subscriber here! You’re right about wanting to see what’s the best in certain areas and not have anyone doing that for you.
Thanks for the sub!
Thanks. Watching from Indonesia
JB is similar to Schneider in regards to click and go. As a contractor, you have to gross high to take something decent home because they're only 65% to the contractor. Loads cancel too frequently for me and I had issues with bad addresses for the shipper or receiver. Both of those issues can and did screw my booked loads up for about 3 weeks while i was there and I didn't want to play that game anymore. JB doesn't allow contractors to utilize their shops, and you're authorized to park at their terminal locations for 10 hours (reset). Anything longer and they might have your equipment towed. In my opinion, JB isn't contractor friendly which is weird to say you're leased on with them. I stayed for maybe 3 months.
Welcome back
Thank you for watching
@@stretchingmileswithstretch7227 Great video. You touched on dang near every point in your Landstar/Schneider comparison.
Like it !
So this is what you do every time you get a load you ask the receiver for a load, and if they don't you go to the load board.
I think Mercer has a first in ,first out system, which is a con , if you think your gonna go,go,go , you won’t, you will sit,sit ,sit until it’s your turn, lol, at least that’s what I heard about them.
That’s what I hear too. Thank you for watching
I’m at Mercer flatbed great company
Im n prime two years but i wanna move.. some advice which one best start...
need some year to date 1099 Net numbers big dog 💪
Talk about your fuel strategy. I hear landstar got good fuel discounts but walk us through how you decide where to fuel
which is better to contract with?thanks
I can answer this question No to many BCO and not enough fright. The company is changing it’s not the same.
dry can still makin more tha flatbed believe me, also from my experience i stoped dealing with landstar, fucc when i call on a load its always some indian guy who is clueless than i do take tha load jus because i needed it, get paper work come to find out it was double brokered
I ain’t going to lie, I miss pulling a flatbed. Also, I don’t mess with the foreign agents.
@@stretchingmileswithstretch7227 mannn landstar is like 85 percent foriegn agents now. at least tha ones that post on dat and trucc stop are
We were wondering about you
I’m still out here, just been keeping the wheels moving
Do you need chains to go into north and South Dakota?
No you don't but if you get stuck and need the chains to get unstuck of the icy road to get to safe area
Chains are not required in the Dakotas but I definitely recommend you carry a set during the winter. Never know when you might need them
got damn i been lookn for stretch for like 7 months now i thought this market took him down i was bouta b pissed
This market hasn’t taken me down yet. I’ve ran on less before and I survived then
@@stretchingmileswithstretch7227 i kno thats right bro!! your my go to out here. fucc u helped me out learning how to work my cost per mile n everything with ya video
I'm about joining Landstar as an owner operator and I leave in grand forks nd.Do u think they have loads there as well?
Honestly I’m not sure. I don’t get up there much, but I have hauled empty chemical totes out of ND. I think that’s the only time I’ve been up there.
Jb only works on there own trucks
Mmm
Landstar double brokering lol
Do you think we're going to listen to you or someone who actually works there? 🤔
Not in this spot market . U will be liven on ramon noodles
