I'm glad he didn't. For one Taylor Lautner did a great job but past book/movie 2 Jacob just became a sad and desperate character and by the end, a LITERAL groomer and it destroyed his career so.... yeah Almost Jacob was way better off
Fun Fact: The man in the couple who almost had the high school land on their house is played by Tom Kenny, the voice of Spongebob. I also wanted to add that Sky High came out in 2005, so it actually predates High School Musical by a year. If anything, Troy Bolton stole Will Stronghold’s haircut & jacket.
I always thought it was a nice touch that they got Linda Carter to play Principal Powers. In case you don’t know, she played Wonder Woman for the live action TV series in the 70’s.
Kurt Russell, Bruce Campbell, a Superhero School, Patrick Warburton. This is an underrated comedy gem. Also I love the running gag of the frozen guys everytime it cuts back to that area they are still there.😂

I'm not gonna lie I wanted Ivy and Warren to be a couple, like endgame, because they would be so cute and Warren is like the best guy there he even has the edgy background going for him...But mostly because by the time I watched this movie I was OVER the "best friend was always in love with main character and they end up together" trope it was beyond cliche

Sky High kept being on Disney Channel for the past two years in the last 2000s with Holes and R.I.P. Kelly Preston who plays the mom. I was so shocked that they glossed over the “I am not Wonder Woman you know” comment considering she was the original Wonder Woman in the show. Well, as a kid, I did not know this until my mom told me and have only recently been exposed to it. But now knowing the reference, I am surprised they did not do the cheesy turn transformation scene. Would have added so much more humor to it.
The parenting portrayed here is what NOT TO DO. They have these extremely high expectations of their son and yet never communicate with him nor see the potential he may or may not have. They EXPECT him to be like them and they ASSUME he is. As a parent myself I'd never do that to my child. They aren't you, they are themselves aka individuals.

Every once in a while my mom would pull the "I'm the parent" card and just for no reason invent something I NEEDED to do just to invoke her dominance. Generally my mom was reasonable. You want your friends over?? Gert your chores done first. But like I said every once in a while I was all good and she LOOKED for something the needed to be done RIGFHT NOW. And it wasn't even something that important most of the time. but you know parents. They the ultimate rule changers whenever it suits them.
I loved Magenta and Layla. To me Magenta was so cool even if she could turn into a Gunnie pig and I really love her outfit and the whole purple theme she got going on and Layla was just really kind and loyal to Will even when he’s a jerk and her powers are awesome as are her outfits.
I remember up up and away. I always liked the fact that it focused on a black family of super heroes which is still pretty rare. I also like that they stuck with the kid not having super powers throughout the movie
This film is definitely kinda campy at times (especially the CGI), but it's still really enjoyable lol. I would love to see a modern remake of this film that improves all the acting, writing, action sequences, CGI, etc.
Had to come here straight after the Get Out reaction and I’m so happy I watched that one first. More than 15 years later and I still believe Warren and Layla should have ended up together! Up Up and Away is a classic! And SpyKids 2 is the best SpyKids, followed closely by the first movie.
Awkward situations where a friend or classmate is arguing with their parents was always awkward but sometimes fun because free drama to watch. Love the new spelling bee segment!!! Favorite spy kid- I’m going with the 3, the first holds a special place but the 3rd is pretty great. And boys you two are dirty mouths. Billy the master of being naughty and MID is getting close to being just as bad- not that it’s a bad thing it makes for an even more hilarious commentary and reaction. I loved Magenta and Layla. To me Magenta was so cool even if she could turn into a Gunnie pig and I really love her outfit and the whole purple theme she got going on and Layla was just really kind and loyal to Will even when he’s a jerk and her powers are awesome as are her outfits.
I remember up up and away. I always liked the fact that it focused on a black family of super heroes which is still pretty rare. I also like that they stuck with the kid not having super powers throughout the movie

This film is definitely kinda campy at times (especially the CGI), but it's still really enjoyable lol.
I would love to see a modern remake of this film that improves all the acting, writing, action sequences, CGI, etc.
Had to come here straight after the Get Out reaction and I’m so happy I watched that one first. More than 15 years later and I still believe Warren and Layla should have ended up together! Up Up and Away is a classic! And SpyKids 2 is the best SpyKids, followed closely by the first movie.
