- I sold the High School Dream Car. It was a fun car while I had it. In this video we drop the car off and see what kind of MPG we can get in the Touareg Tdi.

Awesome! Getting my trailer ready to tow my drift car to events this year with my 2012 Touareg TDI, so awesome to know I could see 20MPG+! Used to have an 05 V8 that I towed with before and getting 12mpg was lucky!
Nice man! I was in the same boat when I had my 2005 V8. Even everyday driving with the Tdi is a big difference over the V8. It has saved me a lot of money just having the Tdi.
Good vid josh, maybe an idea is to talk about what maintenance you do especially as compared to the recommended maintenance. I find certain things are a must with these engines.
I own 4 golfs. One of which is a 2013 Golf TDI. I SHALL DO SO FOR LIFE. The car is that good and in every way.
I had a 2015 Golf Tdi. Loved that car. Wish I could get another one. Best Tdi out there if you ask me.
I’m no expert on maintaining these cars. Just try to stay on top of it, pay attention to the car and fix things when they come up.
Because of your videos I just bought a 7L 3.0 over the 7P. It was hard work to find this clean Carfax Touareg with only 81k miles but I found it and own it lol. I’m not sure why but I love it more than my MK7 GTI and my Mk5 Jetta.

I am wondering what is the highest millage in a world of gas Touareg which has propane conversion kit installed that would be nice to see it :)

did y try pushing V8 at same hill but in 6 gear in manual mode not allowing transmission to shift down to fifth or fourth ?? may be its gonna GO with full gas pedal to floor :)

Hi Josh! Hey, I noticed your MFI was in ‘Long Term’ mode, wouldn’t that indicate your mpg over the life off the vehicle? Just curious.
You can reset it whenever you’d like otherwise it will keep a running average. I reset it right when we got on the freeway. Not sure if I got that on camera.

Me too. Wish I still had my travel trailer. Pulling a car is a lot easier than a big trailer.
Here in Australia, the Toureag is rated to tow 4000KG.

Nope. Knock on wood. No mechanical problems. Currently has 186K miles.
@@spottedeuros1529 here those who have problems whit DPF drill a hole straight into it....
Yeah, the MFI on mine is wildly full of crap. I measured 18 mpg in mixed suburban freeway driving (Phoenix, AZ), but the MFI claims 25.3 mpg. Okay. So just multiply the MFI by 71% to get the truth. I wish I could calibrate the MFI.
I’ve tested mine in other videos. Mine seems to be pretty accurate.
