If you ever feel stressed in a public space about everyone staring at you just remember that you are only like a random NPC for them - they don't even care about your existence. Even if they notice you, they won't remember you after 5 seconds.

Man, i am so happy that I found your channel like 2-3 months ago. This video is really powerful and helpful for a huge amount of boys and also for me. I started improving myself 8-9 months ago, constantly hitting the gym, reading, a month ago stop watching porn, studying whats really interested me, forgot about what people think of me, but i was feeling like i miss something. And now i just watch your video and realise what i miss. I am really addicted to the social apps, which is a real problem with social anxiety. Literally delete most of the apps and giving myself a challenge for at least a month without social media, i khow that this will be improve for myself. Thank you for such a great video Matt, you are a real legend💪💪👏

What really helped my social anxiety was learning mindfulness meditation and learning to let go. Too a lot of time, and studying things like the Tao Te Ching, but when you realize that most people are in their heads and you have no control of any situation, it's easier to let go of caring of others' expectations and opinions. I also used a nice mindfulness workbook called 30 Days to Reduce Anxiety by Harper Daniels off amz. It helps to train the brain to calm down and let go.

I have a tip for people with a lot of anxiety in public. The tip is actually to think about the consequences of doing something weird in public or so. And what you then realise is that the worst thing that could happen( if you’re not being documented lol) is that a stranger probably will say(in mostly rare cases)to his friend or relative: oh I saw a dude stumble on the train today. And the other person will think like: hmm why did he even mention that but ok? And kinda think he’s weird right.
So what I’m trying to say here is that no stranger really cares what you do. It’s in our biology to keep control of ourselves and not care what other people do because in the end of the day it’s not important for ourself ( except psychopaths who hasn’t seen anything funnier than a man stumble on the train ) and psychopaths are psychopaths, there’s a problem with them not you.
But the hard part which I know about, is that people that have anxiety can’t think this way because of many reasons.
But too get thoughts clearly you need to control your breathing so that’s another tip.
You can have a low oxygen intake type breathing were you breath as SLOW as you can and breathing as little oxygen as possible (try to have a tempo that doesn’t make you catch ur breath that’s not good) or high oxygen intake where you breath slowly in much oxygen but keep in mind for this type of breathing it’s important to breath out longer than inhaling. If not then your anxiety is going to probably increase.

I'm not afraid of what other people think, necessarily. I project myself onto others, thinking that they believe x,y, and z about me when it's probably not true. I take my insecurities and use them against myself. It's really just me I'm afraid of.

Hey Matt. I wonder why you're never mentioning school in your videos. Many people would be more greatful for themselves and get less social anxiety if they work constantly at the gym, meditates and gets control over their own mind, yes I agree. But school and grades are alot into it aswell. If you work hard at school and get good grades, you'll feel self diciplined. Self dicipline is a big factor in the way of fixing your mindset. Thank you for reading, and excuse me if it's bad english; I'm from Norway. By the way, your videos are helpful and I respect your work very much. Have a great day Matt

I've worked on my confidence for almost 2 years now and its improved greatly. I was really insecure. Large crowds had me stumbling my words, not walking straight, eye contact was a mess, talking to girls was like going to hell and back. But with my grown confidence I no longer stumble my words, I can definitely walk straight 😂. My eye contact has improved greatly (just look at them in the eye for around 3 seconds then move on to the next person or look at the wall for a second or 2 and look back at them) and I can somewhat talk to girls without being a nervous wreck. Presentations were the worst but I've outgrown them so much. When your all alone in front of the class make sure that your presentation has something funny to it or a little idiotic then when you get to that part make a little chuckle or laugh and you'll instantly feel as if their laughing with you instead of at you. I have no problem doing a presentation Infront of my class now which is great. The main point is to love your body and currently I don't love it. Im not fat and im not skinny im literally in the middle but i compare myself to people that are my age with abs, massive muscles and stuff which makes me feel insecure. I used to work out for a good few months because I had motivation. For example last Christmas I tried doing press ups and could barley do 1. Press ups have always been hard for me but i practiced and practiced every week for a good 4 months (with bad form doing about 30) Which is really good. I did in turn correct my form and now I could probably do about 15-20 in good form which im really happy about though my next goal is to be able to do 20 pull ups since i can barley do 5 atm. It's really hard to stay motivated but set a plan and give yourself a week or so to mentally prepare. when that day comes. workout 4 or 5 times a week and dont stop. every time you feel like stopping (whats the point?) tell yourself not to break that cycle otherwise you'll get lost again. I've been working out on and off lately though starting next week ill give it another try and hopefully ill stick to it. I dont take any protein shakes and i dont monitor my calory intake which may be why im not seeing much results. plus i workout at home instead of going to the gym. If your still reading this then I thank you for your time. Remember, "love yourself to be yourself".
