These people may know what Spider-Man looks like, but the real takeaway they'll have is that anyone - _anyone_ can be a hero.

It’s to humanize him at this point. Spiderman is still relatively new to the scene and still gaining trust from the public. The guy saying that about him just makes Spiderman more relatable to the common man.
Because Spider-man is just another one of us. He's not special, he has burdens but does the right thing. We can all be heroes and do the right thing. We can all be spiderman.

This is still one of the best choreographed fight scenes I’ve ever seen in a Spider-Man movie. They really utilize Spidey’s acrobatics in ways that make every hit he throws out look incredible.
It definitely improves over the action scenes of the first movie, which was Roger Ebert's main gripe with that film - too cartoony. Personally, I'm fine with that level of camp and I think the first one was probably the best superhero film up to that point in time (after Superman 1 & 2, of course), but the sequel is definitely superior. One of the best superhero films ever made, and Alfred Molina's Doc Ock is probably the best villain in any Spider-Man film* or game (sorry, Venom).
*I'd say the Spot from ATSV, but we've only seen the first half of his story.

It's funny because ealier in the movie, Peter was about to quit being Spider-man, until Aunt May gave him a lecture that was the exact opposite of what Goblin said: "People look up to heroes, and will never forget their sacrifice. People need spiderman"
And when he comes back, people carry him like a messiah.

Stopping trains is pretty common in heroes role but I have to say this is one of the best of all time. I mean like no technology, no help, no guidance from professional heroes. And not ever hero can stop a train physically, or mere strength like Tobey did

Someone else originally suggested this idea, but there could've been a scene in Spiderman 3 where Peter is out in public and he sees one of the train passengers from this scene. The two recognize each other and exchange a smile and a nod.

I love (and miss) the days where they actually mixed practical and cgi together. It gave some weight to the characters.
I noticed in the recent movie with all 3 Spider-Men, they just cgi’d them up with the suits (when the masks were on).
Oh God yes. Takes me right out of the films. Was never a big fan of CGI to begin with but MCU has gotten worse & worse relying so much on CGI spectacle that they jam CGI battles into every frigging movie they can its not engaging its lazy.

In the Superior Spider-Man comic , he literally punched through Scorpion's jaw , leaving it hanging .

(Huge fan of Spiderman from 2001). Such an accurate approach to the capability of Spiderman, which is far superior to humans and far below Superman. I am a huge fan of Superman. They accurately showed that Spiderman can do many and most things, but not at Superman level. Like stopping the train with his legs. Also loved how he got all exhausted after stopping train with his webs, showing he is far above peak human, but not invincible. Great writing and direction.

Doc Ock is a mere human without super strength, but can withstand punches to the face from Spider-Man who has super strength. Doc Ock's glasses were probably super glued to his face to not fall out from all that action. Anyway, still awesome fight scene that I always enjoy watching.

a little kid, I did want Tobey Maguire to have a Spider-Man 4. But now, I’m more than thankful for the animated Spider-Verse movies and I’m hoping to that Andy Garfield will have more Spidey projects. And Tom Holland is definitely working on his Spider Man 4, yes it’s more than official that Tom Holland is having his Spider-Man 4. The film is releasing in 2026. As much as I love this Spider-Man trilogy, these days it feels somewhat weird watching these movies
