    Hello sir!
    First of all I want to appreciate your work it’s really good.
    I wanted to ask that I took finasteride for 1 and 1/2 year of 1 mg dose then stop suddenly for 1 year, recently for 2 months I have started. I watch your RUclips videos regarding ‘cold Turkey’ .
    I wanted to ask that will it work or it won’t due to cold Turkey??

    Hi, we plan for baby . How long have to stop taking finast.I am taking 1mg everyday. One of the doctor advised me to stop finast.

    • @hairtransplantinindia
      @hairtransplantinindia  2 дня назад

      When planning for a baby, it’s indeed recommended to stop taking finasteride, as this medication can potentially cause fetal anomalies since it is a Class X drug and also can impact fertility and fetal development. Although finasteride mainly affects male reproductive hormones and doesn’t directly harm sperm, its potential influence on sperm count and motility is still a subject of research. Some studies indicate that finasteride may reduce semen quality in certain individuals, which could affect fertility.
      For men planning to conceive, stopping finasteride 2 months prior is generally advised, as it takes approximately this time to eliminate any residual effects on sperm production. This period allows for a complete cycle of spermatogenesis-the process by which new sperm is produced-ensuring that any potential influence of the drug is minimized.
      If you’re considering a break from finasteride, your hair restoration physician can guide you on alternative hair loss treatments to help maintain your results during this period.

    Thank you Sir for your informative channel, I used 1mg of finasteride every day for 9 months and got every side effect even some gynecomastia mostly addressable in the nipples. I 've been using topical solution nowdays to minimize side effects. My question is, from your experience is early levels of gynecomastia revertable and what can I do about it?

      If it is due to Finasteride it is reversible. Not otherwise. See an endocrinologist.

    Hi Doc. I have diffuse patterned alopecia where I'm thinning of hair on the scalp except on the sides and the back. Though the hair has thinned too much on the scalp and the existing hairs aren't that visible if I get a hair transplant should I be taking finasteride or minoxidil. As the back and the sides remain free from thinning is it important to take minoxidil or finasteride to preserve my existing hairs (on the back and sides)

    • @hairtransplantinindia
      @hairtransplantinindia  Год назад

      Finasteride needs to be taken in the long term if:
      1. The baldness is still progressive- gene hasn't switched off yet
      2. Grafts have been taken from a miniaturising scalp donor- the donor of DPA/DUPA
      If your back and sides of head are fine, you do NOT have DPA!

    Is it possible to go through multiple sheds when u start finasteride say after 5 or 6 years of hair loss .
    Also if u start using finasteride after 5 to 6 years then for how much time a person should wait for results

    • @hairtransplantinindia
      @hairtransplantinindia  Год назад +1

      Every time you stop and start Finasteride you will experience shedding. Results can be expected anytime from 4-12 months after starting Finasteride in 70% cases. Rest do not respond well.

    Hello sir.. im 29, facing hair los from past 6 years... im a very diffuse thinner.. used only topical minoxidil for a year (but no change).. n i started taking TOPICAL FINASTERIDE 0.1 + 5% MINOXIDIL now for 2 months daily...not much sides noted but mayb semen a lil bit watery.. I feel a very little decrease in shedding..so shud i continue using topical or i shud switch to oral to maximise the effects (still hesitant for oral tabs)..tq

    • @hairtransplantinindia
      @hairtransplantinindia  Год назад

      You are sadly on the wrong medications. Topical form does not both produce effects/side effects. The watery semen is a figment of the imagination or it is just how it is. Get yourself tested and switch yo Finasteride after consulting a local doctor.

    What should I go for?
    Minoxidil 5% ?
    Or finastride 1mg or 0.5 mg
    And finastride will recover this my hair loss?
    And I will get my total testosterone before getting it
    And will monitor every month .
