The other video only gave some general ideas, and you only mentioned, that you recommend taking the full dose up to 6 months past a transplantation, but not how to continue afterward. Thanks!
For those after hair transplant there is no microdosing advised till 6 months - as you have mentioned. For thinning hairs full does for aggressive progression in the young and then tapering it down to 0.5 mg on alternate days. In other with not too much progression but in whom baldness is not yet stable, I start with 0.5 mg on alternate days and then build up. Every patient is not the same. @@firsthelix6726

Yes & No. You need a plan best suited for your hair loss. There is no one plan for every person. See a doctor locally and take medication under his supervision.
if you’ve had a hair transplant and you take 1mg a day for 6 months, can you then take your 15 day break and carry on taking breaks after every 3 months from then? Also can you lower the dose after the 6 months, or would it make more sense to keep at 1mg daily indefinitely, providing there’s no sides etc. Thanks!
Once your doctor says that the result has reached finality he may suggest taking a break. Lowering is different from one person to another. There is no one answer.

Hey doct i belong to rural part of the country, we dont have dermatologist near us, the nearest one is 200km away. Can you please guide me with some medication
@hairtransplantinindia Great video. Id like to get your opinion on my situation. I began Finasteride (1mg/day) in 2013 at age 40 along with topical Minoxidil. Until 2020, i maintained all of my hair (no regrowth but i was still happy). By 2021, I began to lose my hair out of the blue (no change in regimen). After 12 months of the same, i switched to oral Minoxidil and oral Dutasteride (.5mg/day). I started every other day for 6 months but when wasnt working, i started taking daily for last 6 months. I believe the minox is working because i feel hair is thicker all over body. Unfortunately the Dutasteride isnt working because i still lose more hair every day. What would you suggest?
Clearly you are allowing the body to get used to the drug. You can get over this tolerance by taking regular breaks and switching back to Finasteride. Oral Minoxidil can continue.
@@hairtransplantinindia But I'm now on .5mg oral Dutasteride and my body is still not responding. Should I switch back to oral Finasteride after a break? If my liver is impaired (gettings tests run currently), could topical Fin or topical Dut possibly work better for me (if my liver can't break down the oral versions)?
I got 5mg tablets and cut them in 4. So each dose is 1.25mg. My hair loss is very minimal but I'm trying to prevent further hair loss in the future. I'm thinking of 1.25mg twice per week, once on Monday and once on Thursday. Is that a good idea? Or should I take a micro dose each everyday? Like 0.25mg per day? The reason I'm thinking of twice per week is because a quarter of a pill is so small and would be hard to split any more. What do you guys think?
So take propecia 1 mg on alternate days. Below that if the drug is helpful, more often than not your baldness is already stabilised. But no harm starting with 0.5 mg alternate days and then build up after 4-6 months.
thanks for the response! My problem right now is that my pills were 5mg and i cut them into quarters. they are so small now that I can't cut them any smaller equally. would 1.25 mg once or twice a week still be effective? my hair loss right now is very slow@@hairtransplantinindia
@@tintumon562 I took 1.25mg 3 times per week and had a little bit of tenderness in my balls. I reduced it to 2 times per week and that tenderness almost all went away. then i went back to 3 times per week and i have no noticeable side effects. as for my hair loss, it seems to be stabilized for now. i will continue doing 1.25 mg, 3 times per week for the foreseeable future. as i mentioned before, my hairloss has be very slow over the years and so i'm doing the minimum possible to have low side effects
Sir as u said that some people have genetically thin hair and they are not recommend to take finasteride so i also have genetic thinning but i also have severe hair loss so iam a candidate or not and i also have paternal and maternal baldness history

Hi does minoxidil cause skin aging?
There are reports that it does.

Hi doc, I got this question. It is possible to get hyper androgenicity by taking 1mg of finasteride daily?
Not likely.
Sir Taking finasteride for longer time is it safe or any side effects on liver or kidney disease
This drug has been in use for several decades and is well known for it's risks. It is the only FDA approved medication that is effective.

Hi, I am in my early fifties and have just had my first hair transplant. Will 0.5 mg of Finisteride be suitable for me or am I now way beyond the point of blading further. Any pointers or suggestions would bwe appreciated

Is finpecia from cipla good?
Yes
I have to use 2% Ketaconazole daily and let it on my scalp for 10 minutes. Is it possible that the active ingredient of ket interferes with finasteride in the hair follicle and weakens finasteride?
Are you on oral Finasteride?
Yes, daily 1mg and no sides luckily
Ketaconazole will not interfere with oral Finasteride
Doctor i want to quit finestride after taking 8 days should i go cold turkey or slowly taper (i have got side effects like tinnitus and groin pain)
8 days is nothing. You can go cold turkey if you so wish.
I think everyone has groin pain mate, lasts a week or 2
Hey doctor did you see that eu union try to find a link between finasteride and suicide and one of possibility is to forbid finasteride. How possible is this to happen. Please answer
I do not think this will happen. The report has been blown out of proportion, you know by whom!
@@hairtransplantinindia EMA start investigation and try to find link between finasteride and suicidal idetions. But i dont understand why they try to ban it like antidepresants has a way serious side effects than finasteride. Finasteride completely cured my depression
How possible is for them to ban it
Not likely.
Does oral Finasteride causes ED and Sp×rm count related problems? I'm not married yet and that's why I'm curious.
It is rare
Which blood test should I do? I have been online looking at buying one but there are so many! Is it just testosterone that needs testing? Or do I need to order testosterone and oeatradiol? Thanks.
Total Tt and Total E2
Thank you.
Hi doc, my test results came back as follows: -
Oestradiol - 46pmol/l
Test - 16.7nmol/l
Free test - 0.312nmol/l
Is this ok to start finasteride?
Thank you.
Albumin 46 g/l
SHBG 37.7 nmol/l
That was done first thing in the morning at 8am. I am 35 years old and little to no exercise as I work in an office. I am planning on getting 30-45 mins exercise a day when I start finasteride though.
Ive had testicular cancer and chemo seven years ago which resulted in the removal of one of them. Can i safely take finasteride or should i avoid it
All depends upon your androgen levels and your level of baldness. You will need a consultation.
It's very important video 😊

Sir for a young patient 22 years is it better to super recharge with dutesteride once every week or just only finesteride ??what is your view??and you say that those whose baldness accelrate like rapid fire need to take dutesterise for some month?? What your view on this sir??
Yes & No. You need a plan best suited for your hair loss. There is no one plan for every person. See a doctor locally and take medication under his supervision.
Nice vdo very helpful video...

if you’ve had a hair transplant and you take 1mg a day for 6 months, can you then take your 15 day break and carry on taking breaks after every 3 months from then?
Also can you lower the dose after the 6 months, or would it make more sense to keep at 1mg daily indefinitely, providing there’s no sides etc.
Thanks!
Once your doctor says that the result has reached finality he may suggest taking a break. Lowering is different from one person to another. There is no one answer.

Exactly what I suggested in the video- the switch on/switch off technique. For more info: ruclips.net/video/cPWmhkYEiUw/видео.htmlsi=wC8JvWibZym5nMkZ

Yes some people cannot just tolerate the drug but then that is their constitution. What were your total testosterone and estrogen values before you started the drug.
Hello doctor. I'm 32 years old. My hair was loosened from the sides. There is no very aggressive shedding. My brothers are in their 40s and still have hair on top. I had stem cell and PRP but it doesn't work. I started using finasteride daily. I divide the 1 mg pill into 3 and take it every day before going to bed. I want to monitor the situation and adjust the dose. I take xpecia as an extra, morning and evening. Do you think I am on the right track? My testo level is around 800
If the balding is not aggressive you can stay on 0.5 mg on alternate days.

Sir how long to wait after hair transplant to join gym again.,, can a person wear normal cap after hair transplant (30 dys).

Im 38, have pretty good hair but a little thinning on top. thinking about getting a hair transplant to fix my hairline, im a norwoord 2. Would i need propecia at my age or at 38, my hair loss is probably already maxed?
Advised to take it for 6 months.
Hello doctor, i'm 22 I have been using fin for 7 months, my shedding has decreased but it still continues, so I am thinking of adding dut once a week. Would 6x fin and 1x dut be a good strategy?
My family's hair genetics are not good either.

@@markeeeeseHow the progress is going can you update
So you have androgenic alopecia and are a strong candidate for the medication.
