- Thanks Simon for a fantastic day out!!!
And thank you all that have subscribed to the channel! please don’t forget to comment I’m being with a chance to win the Ford Mustang Lego technic set.
I wanted to do something different for this video, so I thought I’d take the opportunity to film a day out at Prescott Hill climb. I got to meet and chat Brian from oak swamp and spent the day with Simon from SW creations. Please can you give them both a follow 👍

Just discovered your video on the Porsche 911 TIG weld bodywork. You deserve much more views on your videos. Congrats to 10k subs and if you ever come around to do another bodywork video it would be amazing, just watching your way of doing the job professionally. 👍
Thank you . I really like that video and always thought it underperformed. Hopefully I get to do one soon
A fantastic day out, wonderful to see these old cars getting used properly. Some lovely sheetmetal/aluminium work there for ideas and inspiration too!

Hey Paul thanks for the great comment. 👨🏭
blimey you got there early mush!!! real nice to finally meet ...keep up the great work dude!
I was first in the car park at 7.45! 😂 head gasket went on my car but as soon as I can get something sorted I’ll try and arrange to come and see you. It was great to bump into you on such a cool day out.
@@Metal_shaper_tom look forward dude
Love the paddock and parking lot footage. Thanks for posting!
It’s so good that you can get up so close to them . Great day out!
Prescott Hill Climb and a giveaway? This is going to be an epic Sunday!
Lol 😂 indeed it was!
Really good to see cars up close, fantastic.
Absolutely highly recommend!
Congratulations on 10K subs. Cool cars thanks for showing them. It’s nice seeing them being used
Great videos and congratulations on your 12k subscribers.
Couldn't get there this year but hope to make the long course event. Like the channel.... I've got plenty to catch up with!!
What an amazing turn out of cars and congrats on hitting 10k, awesome stuff.
Thank you 👨🏭
Great video of some fantastic cars
Congrats on reaching 10k subs, as a fan of Austin 7 specials, was good to see some in the video.
Thanks stay tuned as in episode 3 I share the body design
Looks like a good day out., congrats on 10k.
Thank you 👍
Congratulations 🎉 Tom on 10,000 subscribers.... You deserve every single one of them. I used to marshal at Doune hillclimb in the late '90s.. it always amazed me that the "old guys" in the '20/30s cars used to race as if their lives depended upon it... The young guys seemed to remember the cost of the cars that they were sitting in.... Seeing a 75 year old Man driving a 75 year old car, worth £750,000 .... On the ragged edge, sure got the blood pumping 😳.... Wonderful experience even if you aren't a car nut!!! Congratulations again 🎉 Tom 😁
Thank you for the nice comment 👍 I completely agree it’s definitely worth seeing as the noise and smells are amazing
Cool set of cars there, thanks for taking us, Tom.
Glad you enjoyed it James
Hey Tom, great video from Prescott and a great competition!
Thanks Matt 👍
I only subscribed yesterday after seeing you on oakswamp . Looking forward to your 7 special ... And my new lego set 😂
🤣 thanks 👍
The thrill of the Hill Climb combined with the excitement of the giveaway - what a day
Absolutely 👨🏭
Hi Tom. What a brilliant day out. I spotted you in the paddock but didn't get a chance to say hello. It was my birthday treat, a day out inhaling Castrol R and tyre smoke!
It was fantastic! Great birthday treat and the weather nearly held off for a perfect day. The smells were brilliant weren’t they!!
@@Metal_shaper_tom hard to beat the smells of tyre smoke and Castrol R. A heady mix. Just made me even more determined to get myself something pre war. A Riley 9 chassis would tick most of the boxes......!!
It's nice to see a lot of these vintage cars being used competitively rather than just taken too and from shows, while being polished in between. And congratulations on reaching 10k! :D
Thanks . Yeah these drives don’t care about the value they just love to race
Always a great watch👍
Great video and a nice alternative giveaway 👍👍
Thanks Russell 👍
Just found your channel through Oak Swamp coverage of the Hill Climb. Great channel you have and just spent a good few hours watching some of your content. Good stuff
Thank you . Much appreciated 👍
Been meaning to pop up to Prescott for years defiantly going to make time, it looks like a fantastic day for a petrol head.
It’s bloody brilliant. Definitely try and make time if you cat
Brilliant and well done for the 10k. I'll swap that for a Lego Defender (that's a mad kit).
Now that’s tempting!!!
Found you from Oak Swamp, had to subscibe, love what you do! Congrats on 10k subs!
Cheers Paul 👍
I must go to Prescott.
I just love VSCC events and have been to many at Shelsley.
PS
My son loves Lego Technic
WOW Love these old and hand made cars
Me too!
Some beautiful cars there Tom thanks for bringing us along with you. Here's to the next 10,000👏👏👏.
Thanks Trevor. Fingers crossed for the next 10k
Good video very enjoyable.
That was quick editing! My Austin 7 tip from my time there was have a big drain hole in the floor. I was in a puddle by the time I got to the start line and then I accelerated up the hill. Many years ago now. My godson was there today, hopefully his car ready for next year.
Yeah very quick I done it as soon as I got in. That sound like a top tip! Hopefully your godsons car is there next year 🤞
Hopefully mine back on the road soon with a Reliant engine and there - parked next to yours - for classic prescot or something. Am also heading in that direction with the son of the late friend who helped build mine.
Congrats on 10k subs, you deserve many more.
That looked like a great day out with some wonderful machines 😀
Thank you . Much appreciated 👨🏭
Well done on 10k subs Tom 👍
Thanks Ivan
Great stuff, keep it up!
Thank you 👍
Excellent video thanks Tom.
Thanks Doug 👨🏭
Congrats on 10k!
Thank you 👍
Beautiful cars and interesting engines not like the boring crap people drive today. 🤘
Completely agree
lovely looking cars, are you planning on hill climbing your Austin 7?
I will but it won’t be this event as it won’t have the correct engine in to be eligible.
Another great video
Thank you 👨🏭
Congrats on 10k suscribers. I like Brayn and oak swamp too - hope one day you will build a rat!
are these cars vintage or home made in the back garden, nice to see
Some as they have always been, others developed in fits and starts, some recent special builds on old chassis with period correct everything as period.
As already mentioned . As long as they have period part then they can race in these categories.
Well I think it's a good thing for mind and matter to preserve the quality of the sport
Alas I missed this year. My godson's fave (in Tom's video) is an ex landspeed record holder and grand prix car. I've done the event in a special made from mid 30s Austin bits, a couple of wok lids, coke cans turned into lights etc literally in the back garden (in a tent) - ruclips.net/video/dJ5PwhQD5jg/видео.html
Hi Tom great to see you make 10k, just a quick one, when you make your wire bucks what wire do you use and where do you get it , cheers, Chris.
Hi Chris. I normally use 6mm steel bar but for this build I’ve got 8mm as that the steel stockiest had at the time .
Fantastic!! I am starting a RUclips channel and my first build is a 1928 Morgan RIP GN Special and my next will be a 1935 MG Magnette supercharged Boat tail racer with dual tires in the back....
That sound bloody brilliant!!
lego has a lot to answer for, I have an Austin 7 and a vw t2 and it all started with building lego cars.
Lego is very dangerous indeed!! 😂 I’ve always been a fan of it!
120 🔥
Pick me pick me
Congrats on 10k!
Thanks 👍
