Congratulations and well deserved on the subs. Its always a good day when you post a new video, so informative, all the best in your future endeavours.
Just discovered your video on the Porsche 911 TIG weld bodywork. You deserve much more views on your videos. Congrats to 10k subs and if you ever come around to do another bodywork video it would be amazing, just watching your way of doing the job professionally. 👍
It's nice to see a lot of these vintage cars being used competitively rather than just taken too and from shows, while being polished in between. And congratulations on reaching 10k! :D
Another great video and great work. Good to see all these cars and ideas. Enjoying the Austin 7 build. Love the car. Good luck to the winner and im sure a hammer would have been well received. Keep up the good work and love to share some ideas. Regards from South Africa Paul
Hi Tom. What a brilliant day out. I spotted you in the paddock but didn't get a chance to say hello. It was my birthday treat, a day out inhaling Castrol R and tyre smoke!
@@Metal_shaper_tom hard to beat the smells of tyre smoke and Castrol R. A heady mix. Just made me even more determined to get myself something pre war. A Riley 9 chassis would tick most of the boxes......!!
Congratulations 🎉 Tom on 10,000 subscribers.... You deserve every single one of them. I used to marshal at Doune hillclimb in the late '90s.. it always amazed me that the "old guys" in the '20/30s cars used to race as if their lives depended upon it... The young guys seemed to remember the cost of the cars that they were sitting in.... Seeing a 75 year old Man driving a 75 year old car, worth £750,000 .... On the ragged edge, sure got the blood pumping 😳.... Wonderful experience even if you aren't a car nut!!! Congratulations again 🎉 Tom 😁
I was first in the car park at 7.45! 😂 head gasket went on my car but as soon as I can get something sorted I’ll try and arrange to come and see you. It was great to bump into you on such a cool day out.
Just found your channel through Oak Swamp coverage of the Hill Climb. Great channel you have and just spent a good few hours watching some of your content. Good stuff
That was quick editing! My Austin 7 tip from my time there was have a big drain hole in the floor. I was in a puddle by the time I got to the start line and then I accelerated up the hill. Many years ago now. My godson was there today, hopefully his car ready for next year.
Hopefully mine back on the road soon with a Reliant engine and there - parked next to yours - for classic prescot or something. Am also heading in that direction with the son of the late friend who helped build mine.
Some as they have always been, others developed in fits and starts, some recent special builds on old chassis with period correct everything as period.
Alas I missed this year. My godson's fave (in Tom's video) is an ex landspeed record holder and grand prix car. I've done the event in a special made from mid 30s Austin bits, a couple of wok lids, coke cans turned into lights etc literally in the back garden (in a tent) - ruclips.net/video/dJ5PwhQD5jg/видео.html
Fantastic!! I am starting a RUclips channel and my first build is a 1928 Morgan RIP GN Special and my next will be a 1935 MG Magnette supercharged Boat tail racer with dual tires in the back....
Congrats on 10k+ 👍
Congratulations and well deserved on the subs. Its always a good day when you post a new video, so informative, all the best in your future endeavours.

Cheers Danny . Thanks for your advice along the way. It’s always good to chat to you about RUclips and hear your thoughts and opinions on it all.
@@Metal_shaper_tom you are more than welcome my friend although I shoild be asking you for advice cause your smashing me lol
@@DGRetroCustoms lol I’ve just had a bit of luck on my side when it comes to the whole RUclips thing

A fantastic day out, wonderful to see these old cars getting used properly. Some lovely sheetmetal/aluminium work there for ideas and inspiration too!
Absolutely. Can’t wait to make my aluminium body now!

Been meaning to pop up to Prescott for years defiantly going to make time, it looks like a fantastic day for a petrol head.
It’s bloody brilliant. Definitely try and make time if you cat
Congrats on reaching 10k subs, as a fan of Austin 7 specials, was good to see some in the video.

Brilliant and well done for the 10k. I'll swap that for a Lego Defender (that's a mad kit).
Now that’s tempting!!!

Some beautiful cars there Tom thanks for bringing us along with you. Here's to the next 10,000👏👏👏.
Thanks Trevor. Fingers crossed for the next 10k
Another great video
Thank you 👨🏭
Beautiful cars and interesting engines not like the boring crap people drive today. 🤘
Completely agree
lovely looking cars, are you planning on hill climbing your Austin 7?
I will but it won’t be this event as it won’t have the correct engine in to be eligible.
Congrats on 10k suscribers. I like Brayn and oak swamp too - hope one day you will build a rat!
lego has a lot to answer for, I have an Austin 7 and a vw t2 and it all started with building lego cars.
Lego is very dangerous indeed!! 😂 I’ve always been a fan of it!
Hi Tom great to see you make 10k, just a quick one, when you make your wire bucks what wire do you use and where do you get it , cheers, Chris.
Hi Chris. I normally use 6mm steel bar but for this build I’ve got 8mm as that the steel stockiest had at the time .
are these cars vintage or home made in the back garden, nice to see
Some as they have always been, others developed in fits and starts, some recent special builds on old chassis with period correct everything as period.
As already mentioned . As long as they have period part then they can race in these categories.
Well I think it's a good thing for mind and matter to preserve the quality of the sport
