@@GeorgeAusters hello i have a bmw x3 n47 engine and when i go to 3000 rpm the engine crucles and does not go over 3000 rpm do you know what problem i have
The DPF, yes you are right. On long term, the higher combustion will lead to increased soot level blocking the DPF (believe aprox 1,5% more soot due to higher engine temp) Overheating of engine is big talks, but no clear evidence. EGR is deactivated at high loads as well as the fact that every car is designed for a certain environment (temperature climate). In theory the temperature increases, in practice as well, but it will never increase that much that you will experience additional cooling is required. This also is proven by the fact that removing the EGR by net provides more oxigen for cleaner combustion and that the net fuel consumptions drops and does not increase due to more active cooling required. FYI, i have worked 6 year in automotive engineering and 3 years specialized in engineering of exhaust gas after treatment for inland vessels, different sector, same concepts
