      @@dustinladue322 they’re intended to clear 35s with no lift, however it’s probably possible to do 37s. I believe they’ll be released this month or next

    Do you have control arm upgrades available with the spacer lift? Curious if you think there will be some complications later without replacing the control arms. I also take it, it's just a front level kit?

    • @peaksuspension
      @peaksuspension  4 месяца назад

      It’s a 2” lift kit, there’s no way to achieve “level” without compromising the ride quality or ability to get the shock back into the truck
      Due to the weight we have in the back, we have a 1” block in the rear as well.
      All available on our website. Control arms are currently in development

    I often see Toyotas with 400,000-800,00 miles... I wonder if these will ever be able to eclipse that? Sweet truck! Id do up the new TRD exactly the same.

      So far the 2.7/8L80 combo is looking to be a durable pair - but I think the electronics will be the limiting factor on these. And I say that as an AT4 owner. I'm fully expecting to have to start bypassing sensors and reprogrogramming electronic nannies around 200,000 miles but I intend to keep it for the long haul.

      Yeah, the new Tacomas are made in Mexico … you’ll be lucky to hit 100k miles in the newer Toyotas.

      @@shiftmotorsports9803Exactly … have to love the Toyota fanboys that feel the need to spam every thread with their horse shit. I see tons of old Jeeps, Chevys, & Fords on the road. My old Chevy K-5 Blazer had 360k miles when I sold it. Quality is hit & miss across the board … and Toyota just recalled a bunch of Tundras yet again.

      Only problems with the sodas is the lack of innovation, no sound damping, 20 year old electronics, poor stereo quality, they may last 400,000+ miles but it won't be very comfortable.

    This all looks killer....but what about payload? You have an RSI Smartcap, larger tires, rtt, etc etc, and stock AT4X payload is only 1250lbs. How do you expect to carry water, food, people, etc? Or am I missing something?

    • @peaksuspension
      @peaksuspension  4 месяца назад

      The custom Deaver expedition leaf pack increases our payload capacity

    • @user-uh8ut6si9m
      @user-uh8ut6si9m 4 месяца назад

      That covers the limitation in the rear suspension....but what other "weak links" are there? Just increasing the weight-carrying capacity of rear bed doesn't do anything to correct for limitations to your running gear, radiator, etc. This is exactly the issue that confuses me about the overlanding industry. Your payload capacity is not just limited by leaf springs.@@peaksuspension

    • @peaksuspension
      @peaksuspension  4 месяца назад +1

      @@user-uh8ut6si9m I think you’re starting to blend payload capacity and towing capacity together now. Payload capacity by definition is “the amount of weight you can safely add to a truck’s cargo area in addition to it’s empty curb weight”
      Our leaf springs cover the modifications we have added to the vehicle, which is around 550lbs. Now we aren’t mathematicians by any means but we aren’t carrying 700+ lbs of water and gear in the bed.
      As far as wear and driveline components, the truck has a 6,000 lb towing capacity and nothing we are doing exerts anywhere near that amount of force.
