You're not making it easy on me to not buy a ZR2. 😂 Nice build.
Thank you, I mean it's worth the purchase 🤣
Buy one !
In 3 seconds I see a build that finally showcases the build stance that complements the design elements better than any Colorado build to date. Beauty.
Thank you!
Great video, making me miss my ZR2
Thank you!
I really don't know much about these trucks, but they sure are good looking. Nice job on the seat delete! It's good to see clean wiring too. One thing though! Your rear spring shackle appears to be nearly vertical. Is that correct? That shackle should be sitting at 20 to 30 degrees off of vertical If the shackle is vertical, it will result in a harsh ride, higher stress on the spring, and it could even eventually lead to spring failure. Strictly speaking, you need to measure the angle from the datum line between the two spring eyes, but I'm trying not to confuse the hell out of you. This is actually a common thing that I see with modified leaf springs. I just did a search about this and found some pretty good RUclips tutorials. I suggest you have a look!
Thank you. From the instructions provided from Leveled Up and the pictures they provided in their instructions they look exactly like mine, so based on that, they are correct? I didn't know about the angle you mentioned and will definitely look more into it. Not sure if the angle specifically applies to a more aggressive shackle, but I will take a look into it. Thanks
Siiiiiiick Truck my guy! Cool Style, Cool Functionality!
Thank you!
I bought my 2024 Colorado in April. Thoroughly satisfied.
Can you please create content on the rear seat delete.
How to remove the seats, mounting points, dimensions etc…
You did EXACTLY we what I intend to do with mine.
Nice congrats on the purchase. Yes, I could possibly make that a future video!
Hell yeah dude ! Build is lookin rad I wish I got a zr2 ! Lol
Thank you, you should have it's a big step up to the Z71 but you are in it too deep now 🤣 you still got a rad Colorado 🤟
@@outlandishoverland oh yeah we big deep now 😭😭😂😂
My buddies Z71 rolls all the same trails as me in Florida.
@@barryguffey8061 the z71 is definitely capable mine keeps up with everyone also , zr2 just looks rad lol
@@barryguffey8061 I mean to be fair that's not saying much. I lived in FL for majority of my life and FL trails aren't much of a challenge. Most of it is just mud and all you need for that is momentum and some clearance.
Very nice
Thank you
Moab put everthing East Coast to shame. Chevy rolled it all.
Looks good! I’m going to test drive a Colorado ZR2 this month, one is coming in to the local dealership. How have you liked the overall ZR2 experience? Also, love the overall setup. I think I recognize that road from hiking the PCT!
Thank you. So far I have been loving it so far with some very minor complaints (which will be an upcoming video of my negatives with the truck). I have just under 7,000 miles with the ZR2 and some pretty hard offroading with it and absolutely no issues this far.
Beautiful ZR2. Wondering if you can fit 315s without a lift?
Perhaps with the correct offset
Hey i saw you recently changed the fluid on your front and rear diffs. Any advice on interval timing, fluid choice or anything else? Manual doesnt have any info unfortunately. Super sick build btw been watching since you first got it
Interval timing all depends on how you use your truck. I just changed mine just due to the break-in of the components, I figured it was going to be metal shavings in the diffs. I plan to change my diff fluids every 30k miles or so. I used Mobil 1 Delvac 75w90 because it's one of the few 75w90 oils that doesn't use limited slip additives in it. You don't want LSD additives due to our lockers.
@@outlandishoverland killer, thank you so much. Appreciate the reply
Yea
why do you need the quick link on the front suspection?
To articulate better and much smoother on washboard roads
Nice truck! Curious…how did those heavy @$$ Falken 35s affect your performance and gas mileage!?
Performance wise you really don't feel them driving around, the torque the 2.7L makes is more than enough to move them around. Gas mileage took a little hit the problem is I put on the topper and tires very close to each other so I don't know exactly which affected my MPG more but I dropped with the addition of both about 2 MPG. I average currently on the highway at 70-75 MPH at around 15-16 MPG
@@outlandishoverland Thanks. I can live with the gas mileage hit. Appreciate the info!
I’m torn between what I like best the Colorado or Canyon.
Both great options but they are identical copies of each other, the Colorado is a better bargain.
Did you say sway bar quick disconect ?!
Yes you heard correct, it was a custom sway bar disconnect my brother and I created (he is a mechanical engineer). I had a small segment about it in my Fins and Things ZR2 video showing how it works.
doesn’t have switches come from the factory
There is an option to have 4 switches from the factory but in my opinion I don't like where it mounts and 4 was not enough. There is technically 1 aux switch that it comes with.
Your deavers look flat already 😅
Just the weird camera angle, they still have plenty of curvature to them.
