How to fit 37s?! on a Silverado ZR2/Sierra AT4X!
On this video, we wanted to give an update to tire fitment on the Silverado ZR2/Sierra AT4X. Now we said we wouldn't do 37s but guess what, enough is never enough!
With the release of our new 1/2" and 3/4" bumper spacers, we figured it was time to up the ante and show you how to fit 37s.
DISCLAIMER: We are not expressly recommending you to cut up your truck to fit 37s, but we're certainly not telling you not to.
As many of you already know, we offer several kits for this platform that achieves anywhere from a level stance to 2.25" lift. We go over each of our kits, their intended purposes, and what tire size you should expect to fit with them.
We also go over some of the key areas for tri...

What size tire are you able to run without trimming/cutting?
Depending on your wheel offset, we have done 35x12.5 with no issues
Are these wheel +25 or +5 offset?
@@danielclanton8781 these are the aftermarket AEV wheels. They’re a +5 , 6x139.7 The 2nd gen Colorado is the +25 with 6x120 bolt pattern
What are you guys doing about ECM/TCM tuning for tire size from 33”-37” for trans shifting etc?
Unfortunately there's not much you can do. For the time being, we know the true mph but as far as driveability, there's almost zero change.
where was the spare tire :)
@@R3KONT3K mounted in the bed
@ that the AEV bed mount right. Ima have to snag one up.
@@R3KONT3K We kind of had to make our own. The SmartCap won't work with anything mounted on top of the bed rails so we had to get creative
Now we just need to see you fit 37's on the Canyon!
That is one I can confirm we won't be doing haha
Do you think there is room for a winch behind that bumper?
There is indeed a lot of room, if you custom fabricated a winch tray there's probably room to make it fit
What about the AEV model? The bumper seems to have more space than the regular ZR2.
There is indeed more clearance from those bumpers. We aren't advertising these for the AEV trucks specifically and we have not yet tested them on it either.
I would love to know more about it if possible. Would the 37 fit on the AEV wheels? How much would the whole set up cost.
@@DAFADVC 37s will fit on the wheel but they won't clear our upper control arms. So you would either need a small wheel spacer or an aftermarket wheel
To much tire very very hard on pickup
Thanks for your response. So far, seems just fine.
37s would be too hard on your Prius but perfectly fine for a 1500 truck😎
Who makes the bracket for the grill lights?
Custom. We drilled into the bumper and bolted the lights on. We’ll have a detailed walkaround on this Silverado coming soon
I see tons of guys on the forums running the 2.25 summit level kit with true 35x12.5 and a -12 offset wheel on the AEV Bison edition with no rubbing - you agree there? Just received my level kit and wondering if I need to run 35x11.5 with that -12 offset but 12.5 strongly preferred. Appreciate the info and great video!
We haven't tested to confirm. I would imagine it will require additional trimming on the cab side
Where I can I have this done?
If you're in SoCal, we can do the install. If not, check out our dealer page to see who's around you: www.peaksuspension.com/dealers/
@@peaksuspension I am in St. Augustine, FL
BEEFY
We got the meats!
First it isn't a Chevy it's a GMC, second it's an AT4X not a ZR2.
Thanks for your constructive feedback. We said AT4X/ZR2 platform because they’re the same truck.
Here's what i don't understand. Why change the block on a Sierra AT4x when they already come with a 1" block from factory? The summit kit has the 1" peak block, but it doesn't seem necessary. what am i missing? I purchased this kit recenlty but it seems i purchased the block for no reason.
We provide a 1” lift block, meaning it’s 1” taller than the factory block. The factory block is a 2” block. If you don’t utilize the block it won’t sit level at the 2.25” lift height
What about the 2500's? I just got the zr2 bison in the 2500. Any info on how to get 37's on?
From our understanding and people who have them, they already will fit
So your 2.5 coilovers will level out a ZR2/Trail Boss being they are both 2" from the factory? If so, how much more lift do you net from factory?
Level or lift, yes
can the upper spacer be installed just by itself for a 1.25" lift in front?
It absolutely can, we sell that by itself as well www.peaksuspension.com/product/2024-toyota-tacoma-1-25-lift/
Did you guys put those new springs to deal with payload? The AT4X AEV only has about 1,000lbs payload and I’m most concerned about that. How do you deal with having your kids with you and still be able to load the bed? I’m new to off-road/over-landing so I apologize if it seems like a rhetorical question.
Hello, we used the add a leaf to compensate for the additional weight we added to the vehicle. In the case of this truck. The payload capacity for the AT4X is 1,250 lbs and the add a leaf is designed to increase load capacity another 700 lbs.
This is compatible for the AT4 as well?
It is
I don't see the torque specs?
Do you need the 1inch diff drop if you put on the Peak Pro lift 2/1 for the AT4X?
NEED? No. Recommended? Yes
@@peaksuspension was looking into something exactly like this with some tie rod sleeves - how much does a diff drop usually run? thanks in advance
@@R3KONT3K our diff drop is $82.99 and comes with the skid spacers as well www.peaksuspension.com/product/peak-1-diff-drop-skid-plate-spacer-23-colorado-zr2-canyon-at4x/
Just got my 2024 gmc canyon elevation, what camper and front winch was that? I need that 🙏🏽
It's a Leitner Designs Bedrack with AluCab Gen3R roof top tent. The winch is a ComeUp Solo 9.5
I dont think it was said in the video but it looked like guy was talking about ride height adjustment being independent of spring pre-load adjustment. Is that the case? That would be awesome as most coil-overs in the 4x4 world only have pre-load adjustment.
Ride adjustment being independent to each vehicle. Not every truck can lift the same height so we can't say across the board what you should expect with lift heights. That being said, the shocks are designed with specific lengths and lift heights in mind, and not designed to be the highest lift possible. In most cases, they way they arrive is generally where you want to leave them but there is a little room for more pre-load. We try to get most of the lift done from the spring length/rate
So stock zr2 bison, stock wheels (aev), if I just did the standard leveling kit, what size tires could I fit? Could I add a 1.5-2” spacer?
Most people are running 34s. The stock wheel offset prevents you from using wider tires and upper control arms.
@@peaksuspension thanks!! i'm guessing spacers would cause more issues or would they allow me to get the 34's without any trimming on the back fender liner?
@@nyquillisdillwad2824 our leveling kits and 2 piece spacer lift don't cause any issues. If you're referring to wheel spacers, the further out you go the worse it will rub.
I have these on my bronco and they are very good in every situation I've put them through.
Love to hear it! Thanks for the feedback
This is great 😂 gotta have fun & love where u work
We try!
What’s the spring rate on the 2.5’s?
They come standard with 600# springs and we have 650# available for people who have added bumpers
Is the inside of the cab big enough for family of 4?
I have a factory lift kit on my 23 gmc canyon at4. Will this eibsch spring see any noticeable ride height if I swap to the eibsch? Mines about 2” higher than stock.
for the front lift, did it not require new upper A arms?
we aren't at a height where it's 100% required and we haven't released our arms yet.
I have no desire for any of this thankfully, but love seeing builds!
Fun to watch and you don't have to spend the money!
Nice!
Awesome video, definitely looks super with those 35s, what rack is that on the truck roof ?
That's a Prinsu OG roof rack www.peaksuspension.com/product/silverado-1500-roof-rack-22-prinsu/
Can the auto 4wd be used with the Peak 2in kit or will there be vibration? I have seen other kits saying you will have vibration in 4wd when leveling a ZR2 or AT4X
All functions are retained
Excellent video and helpful information.
How many inches is the lift, also will I be able to run 35 on the truck with this lift
This lift provides 2" of lift and 35s fit
Highly satisfying to watch. Kudos to the videographer and video editor. They did a great job!
Awesome build! Just bought myself a glaciar white at4x..and picking up a Smartcap. What size prinsu top rack did you run to mount the tent? Trying to order together but worried ill get the wrong size
Thanks, you're going to love it! We use the 46" crossbar version
This video was digshit.
I have this truck - got it in July and I absolutely love it. For someone like me who will never use it like it was built to be used - I loved this video to see what’s possible to add to an already badass truck.
They really are quite fantastic
so if I keep factory zr2 wheels, with the simple leveling kit, will 35x11.50 fit with no rub or trimming?
We personally haven't tested on a stock wheel with that tire size, it'll be close
Can you send me your address I need that service
What lift is the best on 2wd? Is it good to put 35s on a 1500 2wd duramax ?
If you want to fit 35's, you want at least 3" of lift. Our coilovers and arms fit the standard 1500's as well. In stock and available today: www.peaksuspension.com/product/peak-suspension-2-5-dsc-trek-kit-19-silverado-sierra-1500-zr2-at4x/
Great video! I have the Diamondback switchback bed cover, Decked Cargoglide, and tools in the rear of the truck. Roughly 350lb or more total weight added. Will the Peak 2 piece trail 2.5” front and 2” rear kit level it out due to the additional weight in the rear? TIA
You could get away with the 1" kit as it's not that much weight
@@peaksuspensionsame question really but I added rock sliders and a decked system to my 24 Tacoma. Is the 2 inch necessary.?
@@RayGunzyou would be fine with just the 1”
Will this kit work on a 2024 Limited with the AVS? Has it been tested?
Does the 24 tacoma sit level with this kit with the 2.25in front 1 inch in the rear?
It's level with just the front kit, the rear adds just a little bit of rake (we prefer)
I wonder if a 35/11.5 with the stock wheel would work? I like the stock wheel look.
That size does work
@@peaksuspensionWould a 305/70/18 (35x12) on a stock wheel fit without much trimming using the 2” or 2.25” level kit?
Do you all know if this is a AAM rear differential used in the Colorado & Canyon & what actual size of differential?
Will blue control arms fit my Colorado zr2 2nd gen ??
They will, they're in stock and ready to go for the 2017-2022
Hey gang...hope all is well. What ball joints are you putting in the new billet UCAs? Delta? Uniball? And...any way to reconsider a custom color powder coat? (You know...purple!) Otherwise, how about raw so I can powder coat at my end? Prefer you do it so you can laser engrave the Peak logo on it. I would consider purple anodized, but the powder coat will endure the AZ sun a bit better. Peace.
Hey Pete, While we would love to do it, it's very difficult to pull off 1 set of arms out of production to do a custom color. Additionally, because they're billet aluminum, the heat required to cure powdercoat isn't safe to do and not something we're willing to take a risk on.
