You can definitely see where the Hornet pilot made a mistake of their own at 13:20, when they reverse after overshooting. That mistake of course proves to be fatal since GS hits a shot in the very next turn. It probably would have been better to either go up or stay in the rate fight, but I'm guessing they didn't realize they'd overshot until it was too late.
Great move in the first round dude. But got smoked in the second. That's what I love about these fights. Your opponent learns from you. especially if you're flying the same fighter and he gets to choose different fighters each round. Then great moves in the third. Awesome vid man.
Darn GS, a couple of those passes with the Eagle were close enough if you had Sven's distant cousin from the East, Yuri, riding on the back of that Flanker to work on the engines, he could have literally thrown a wrench at the Eagle and ended the fight earlier.
8:00 That was beautiful how a seemingly barely flying brick just positioned you to get smacked. He had full AB deployed too... That was so intentional. Nicely done by OPFOR
@7:30 ish It strikes me how similar the profiles of the tomcat with its wings out are to the Sukhoi, I wonder if the designers was looking at the tomcat as inspiration.
@@spinningsquare1325 not the wing itself but the profile. The shadow it would cast on the ground very much is. Though original design on Mig29 and Su27 would have had a sinusoidal shape to the wing. They opted against it because that is extremely hard to optimise and manufacture.
I think that's a great idea! Four pilots approaching the merge from N, S, E, and W -- all flying the same plane. Last one flying wins. That would be a very entertaining furball!
Hands down the best dcs channel on YT. Been watching you for a little over a year ever since the raptor mod was introduced. Not only do you provide great visual content for these aircraft’s but you’re also very informative and I take notes from your videos to apply to my own knowledge when playing.
I live in a military town Buford, South Carolina, and all of the F18 pilots. I talk to tell me you are exactly right. It's pilot skill how much you fly? And how well-trained you are. And the day F18 platform is still a formidible enemy.
I watch almost all your videos but don't comment much anymore. This was one of my favorites. The Tomcat turning it around was awesome. He was way too wiley, i saw that one coming. And in the Hornet fight your tighten-down and reversal 👌 beautiful.
Do you feel a significant difference between between something like the typical Western Vulcan cannon vs. a Russian GSh-30-1? I'm pretty new to this whole DCS thing. On paper, their firing rates and calibers are obviously much different, but as a casual viewer they all just look like brrrrap dead.
Well it seems u have a better chance of hitting with the Vulcan 20mm cuz of its spread. But the 30mm on the flankers and migs means 1 hit generally finishes the fight. Not always the case with the 20mm. So both have their own pros and cons
Having mainly flown the Su-27, the F-14, and F/A-18 (with the Flanker being the one I know best), I definitely prefer the GSh-30-1. It's lethal if you score a hit, and well, I find it way easier to put rounds on target with it. I find its pipper to be more stable than US ones, and also simpler especially compared to the Hornet. Maybe it's just a matter of habit, but I don't like the 20mm much.
As an Australian I am so happy to see that if the Russian/Chinese aircraft are piloted by "under trained" pilots they will fail in comparison to experienced western pilots! In short it is the pilot who wins. I do understand that this is a simulation. Thanks GS.
Gerat fight by you GS again and also it's prof to people in 1975 that they were asked king of Iran why he chose F14 over F15 for Iranian airforce at that time. Thanks again 😊
Multiple viewed... and I desired to feel G. DCS got something going on that type of sim ? Or does large screen with peripheral give that sensation ? haha ! weeeeeee...
@GrowlingSidewinder - Kinda off topic here, are you going to get early access to the F-4E - I saw the ED announcement video yesterday it looks amazing, would love to see some video of that.

Day 133 of asking for A-10 vs F-14
bro that sounds awesome@@NVINODE
bro is it really day 133@@NVINODE
Day 58 of asking for A-10 vs F-86, or A-10 vs a series of different generations of jet fighter.
Does DCS have the A6 Intruder?
You're making that SU-27 work. Sure, love to see the F-16 match, maybe a rematch against the F-14 as well.
What about Fat Amy?
F-22
that reversal at the end of the third fight was either a genius calculation or a grave mistake by the opponent
No aircraft has ever pulled 7g for two seconds.

Of all the channels out their you are the only one that makes this entertaining and eventful. Your skills are better than anyone else I have seen...
Thank you I appreciate the kind feedback. I’ll keep trying to keep it interesting around here.
@@GrowlingSidewinder cutting one wing and then the other was impressive ....

Dude these bandit unknown fights are so fun to watch
When you said that you got to cut of both wings of the F-15, brilliant throwback to the F-15 that landed with one wing! ❤
and it was isrealily
"You gotta get both wings with the F-15" 🤣
Timing is uncanny. Local museum just put an SU 27 on display. It's surprisingly massive
about 10 feet longer than the Tomcat lol
@@mikegreck2625wtf, don't the US airforce pilot call the Tomcat schoolbus or something for how massive it is?
And Su27 is larger than that, really!
@@shubhamjuvatkar4023 Yeah the big girl was big..and yes, the flanker and even the Su-57 are still bigger lol. crazy

Thanks for the hard work GS! you always make my day with your videos.
Thank YOU for watching.

@7:30 ish It strikes me how similar the profiles of the tomcat with its wings out are to the Sukhoi, I wonder if the designers was looking at the tomcat as inspiration.
No. the wings are different and the tomcat does not have an integral wing. Flanker is most similar to an f16 but with two gondolas
@@spinningsquare1325 not the wing itself but the profile. The shadow it would cast on the ground very much is.
Though original design on Mig29 and Su27 would have had a sinusoidal shape to the wing. They opted against it because that is extremely hard to optimise and manufacture.
“You gotta get both wings with the F15.” 😭
A guns only battle royale with several other pilots would be a fun watch.
I think that's a great idea! Four pilots approaching the merge from N, S, E, and W -- all flying the same plane. Last one flying wins. That would be a very entertaining furball!
Yes please
You gotta get both wings with the f15 had me cracking😂
Love the subtle “need to take out both wings on the eagle”. If ya know.
I love the Flanker. Nice video! I like how you explain (and pull) some pretty impressive maneuvers to get out of danger.
"Gotta get both wings with the F-15" gave me a good laugh.
Also Tomcat Strikes Again.
That last battle was incredible, had me sweating the whole time!

"You gotta get both wings with the F-15" LOL
that F-18 fight was crazy good, it really showed your skills
man gotta love the Flanker .such a gorgeous aircraft .
I want to see a breakdown of the F14 fight.
I concur
Just saw your Su-27 vid where an F22 formed up on your left wing. Absolutely brilliant. Keep up the good work man!
This dude is a strait Assassin! Calling out removing both your wings.
That last fight was a CHEF's kiss!! Beautiful answer to being out rated.
The way the tomcat was fighting him, it seems like it knew what was best in the end.
That Tomcat did some 'leaf in the wind' shit - that was crazy.
Thank you for the clear descriptions.
Dude… that roll… I audibly said “look at roll” right before you 😂 that was gorgeous flying.
This is a “moments of death” clip for sure with the tomcat kill.
I see GS has adopted the pilot's, "ahhh" in between words.
He knew you’re so much better at one circle yet he still choose the tomcat and won the fight.
Always love seeing the Flanker in that camo scheme.
"You got to get both wings in F-15" - such a good line...
good video! the su-27 is beautiful.

I love these DCS solo Dogfights.
The SU-27 Flanker is an old time favorite of mine. Almost, but not quite as cool as the ME-262.
I’d love to see more SU-27 fights in this Chanel!
Great fights! More Flanker content please!

4:54 "you got to get both wings on an F15" 😅
Been watching your craftsmanship for some time, always entertaining & informative, funny & educational. Absolutely the best. Keep it up!
8:03 Look at how enthusiastic he is about being shot down. 🤣
I always watch your videos right before I go to bed. For some reason theyre incredibly relaxing. And I dont even play dcs. Thx man!
There was a moment there where it looked like the F-14 was experimenting with the secret art of the three-circle fight; Drunken Boxing Style.
Not a pilot but agree with the results, great flying both of ya.
Millenium7* said that aerodynamically, the SU-27 is the most advanced 4'th gen fighter. That thing looks amazing!
these videos are so fucking entertaining and informative on the big TV with the soundbar on

Lesson learned, don’t mess with Mr. Tomcat!
Requesting Su-57 vs J-20.
Have to say it is all Pilot Skill! Good Job GS!
Holly molly that reversal got me excited
Absolutely awesome. Love the videos. Keep them coming.
Dang man you had that tomcat but you started shooting on your way too late when he was practically past your nose already
The hornet is the absolute easiest jet to kill in a gunfight. Even the old f-5 can take down the hornet.
Nice fights! Is it possible to show what it looks like from bandit's POV when they misread lead cues?
it's not the plane, but you! you are too good man!
would love to see a SU-25 video like the ones you do in the A-10!
After that Hornet fight, your new Russian call sign is:
счастливая собака
schastlivaya sobaka
GS - can you explain what the "losing cues" are in 2 circle fights, and what the "reversal cues" are in 1 circle fights?
you did the samething the tomcat did, used a disadvantage to gain an advantage on the confused enemy
Impressive how quickly things can change in favor of one to another 😳
Really liked that video! I would like to see next a 2v2 cold war era (with vocal of course!).

Oh yeah! GS in the Flanker. Anyone wanna bet on him winning all the dogfights?
He lost against the tomcat
That first kill was surgical, almost disrespectful lol.
Very nice as usual GS!
It’s a beautiful dance dogfighting is!
Going inverted is a common Tomcat Tactic.

You just scalped that eagle. See its funny because I'm native.
Do a F-22 Raptor Dogfights Various Russian Aircraft
FLANKER VS F16 would be nice .....nice flying by the way
Yes.
I love your videos.
I would like to see a Su-27 Flanker vs a F-16 Viper!
@5:20 nah both wings was a violation
Nice dogfights - although forgive me for saying that I enjoyed the one with the F-14 the most.
Yeah that was sick. Defo do the F16 next man
Great content as always
Yo GS, thanks for the weekend video. Yo 2-3 Golf, Pukin dogs looking good! Have a pleasant day. Cheers.
Flanker vs F16 would be great!
It's plain uncanny how the F-14 wobbles all the time, she looks simply broken.
An F16 battle would be interesting, but I wonder how the Su27 would do against a Super Hornet.
Multiple viewed... and I desired to feel G.
DCS got something going on that type of sim ?
Or does large screen with peripheral give that sensation ? haha ! weeeeeee...
Can you do an in depth tutorial on each jet… and by in depth I mean enough info to take off and do BFM and BVR..
You should get some night Apache missions in!
BVR MISSION with F-18 armed with Aim 260
Tbh I can see a huge market for sim dogfight tournaments.
Which Livery are you using I couldnt find it. Its looks super cool

where did u get that orange glass in front of the hud?
Tomcat kicks ass again lol
You are probably the first to have a mobile phone in their fighter jet but you probably should answer it at some point, it could be important.
Always like to see Flanker.😊
