Thank you for sharing your travel videos. As a Filipina who had migrated to the US 48 years ago and returned to my homeland only 6X since I left, you are providing me and the rest of your viewers the great opportunity and experience to see all the places that most of us have not or never will ever get the time to visit, You will continue to gain more viewers and followers due to your respectable, humble and positive approach to vlogging. I look forward to viewing your videos everyday and love all the places that you are visiting in my country. You're the only vlogger that have visited so many places at a very short time. Again, you're very much appreciated.
I really appreciate your comment to thank you ☺️
100k per night? Really? 😮
Michael is well known in Iloilo.
Congrats, Michael! You've unlocked one of the Philippines' secrets = that Family, Friends & Connections make Pinas go 'round. Enjoy The Farm, and continue making friends!! 😉 👍 🤙
I am really liking your videos and how you tour some amazing areas. It really helps people to learn to focus on all that there is to see in the Philippines and not just focus on one area. Great job!
😂the man that was showing you the rooms was hilarious! Thanks for sharing your experiences, I'm thinking about retiring to d Filipinas, at 63
He was totally loving his job
Just like here in Canada, they also have that "eh " thing in Batangas at the end. Their governor is the great and famous actress Vilma Santos
10:36 Awesome Church!! Looking forward to your next video. Thanks Michael....Jim
Great start Michael. Love the to see that big church. Looking forward on your next video staying at the Farm. I guess another subscriber sponsored you for that accommodation. Keep coming guys, sponsored Mike to some interesting places in Luzon.
I don't even know if they watched before, we met in Roxas city and became friends
Growing steady, Michael! Great content, you look really relaxed now. Not saying you weren't before. ;-)
I know I’m up too late when I always see your new videos popping up the minute they are posted 😂 but hey, at least I can give you an early like 😂
lots of beautiful beaches around batangas. lots of places for you vlog around Batangas. so many options.
What a GREAT PLACE you ended up in !!
Been there
Enjoy your stay
Worth every penny
I have had the pleasure to visit Lipa City, visited a school and found the locals so friendly, loved it there
Thanks Michael ❤you’re a true source of motivation. Keep going the good work 🤗
Batangas is a super nice place.. been living her for 10 year
Michael another amazing video. Nice city people friendly was fun going around with you. Oh I loved the lady singing.
This place is clean and looks modern. Education centers means lots of younger people I would assume. Close to the big city and provinces. People look friendly.
You are very industrious Sir, promoting our country, Batangas city is like the cities of metro Manila,, best kape is barakong Batangas
The Red Door Motel is a place for "quickies"!😂 That's why the lady at the front desk asked you how many hours...! Lol! Batangas City is one of the oldest cities in the Philippines. It is located in the province of Batangas. Their wet market is very popular on weekends. One of their specialty is the Batangas Bulalo. The Batangueños are happy, respectful people. A lot of bakeries all over the country are owned by Batangueños. They specialize in hot pan de sal. Enjoy your time there!
This man gets around! 🎉
All around town 😁

Another good video Michael that made me looking for more. When you were in the visayan region, i didn't really understand the locals talking in the background, now that your in Luzon, I can since tagalog is spoken in Batangas
Haha yea it's incredible to think that the languages are so different in the same country like this
With 8000 islands in the Philippines, every one is a bit different. Very interesting place.
One thing is always the same. The warmth of the Philippino people.
You just got a taste of life in my city of birth. Welcome and enjoy your stay.
I now live in Markham, ON
Yea the city is a little crazy, I like the outskirts better. Catch you on the next part of your trip.luck be with you .
How is it a little crazy?
Love your Work Broski! Thank you! So refreshing!
Welcome to Batangas City sir, i hope you''ll enjoy the place
Finding transportation in a new place is always an adventure. When I was traveling around the Philippines I usually stayed in a place for 2 weeks so I would book ahead of time but the transportation was always hard to get a good price. Some places the airports are far from where you are going so you have to pay more as it would be a long walk lol.
First time commenting here, Mike! ...Excellent and Objective Vlogging in Beautiful Batangas!
Great vid . Haven’t seen you for a while .
There are nice beaches there too , i saw a vlog of it , really cool and i saw nice resorts and places on my aunt's fb, they live there in Lipa Batangas. You're in town proper so it looks like Manila. Is Batanes or Ilocos Norte on your itinerary? Ilocos N. is my hometown.
I don't think I will have time and budget this time to go north of Vigan but we will see
Pls go to Vigan and farther to Ilocos Norte. Not many vloggers went there yet, most vloggers content is all about the Southern Philippines, waaay too much… There’s so much more to discover in the North!😁🇨🇦
@@user-rh4uu5uf9h vigan is in the plans :)
Thank you for sharing your everyday journey mike.i tickled to the woman who sung a song in the street though you dont understand still you are amazed and i seen that in your face hehehe.take care.
Go to Tarlac and explore the city.
McDonalds Coffe is GREAT
.. NICE AND STRONG
I don't think I have ever had a Philippines Mcdonalds brewed coffee come to think of it
i mahal na mahal kita all your videos
Salamat!!
Thank you for taking us around . You can bargain with them Michael filipino style ❤❤
It’s really affordable at low price but should have reviewed aircon room. The cameras clarity is amazing, which 4K camera are you using for shot Michael?👏
Go pro hero 10 but soon my blogs change to the DJI action camera
Michael, this is just a very friendly (but unsolicited 😂) suggestion: have you considered traveling outside of the Philippines? With your following, you could collab with different resorts around the world! It’s publicity for the resort and content for your channel! You could see the world! You could go anywhere! The world is your oyster!
I'm from Texas. We stay away from polyester and stick with cotton to stay cooler. Poly is like wearing a plastic bag. Same goes for sox & shorts
Batangas needs renovation to make it look a bit better 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Did u say 100k per night at end of your blog? Cant wait for the next video to see the place.
Not 100k a night for me but the one I stayed in is incredible
Wife and I had to stay in a Red door one time, Wife was pissed, lol, Karaoke, blaring all night from a bar located just upstairs, but I was so tired I just passed out, I would worry more about bedbugs, mites, and picking up head lice than anything,
But rest is rest, You stayed, “Love Shack Baby” B-52s it a hit, Remember one cant debate Poverty,
People do what they have must to survive, God Bless
Staid solo several times in so called love hotels/ motels in Thailand . Never had a bad experience. Downside?: they offer no breakfast 😅
Thank you for showing my home town batangas city
I forget what we did, and it was also before Covid, but we got a car somehow to take us from Batangas down to Mabini
Doing a great job now come to samar lots to see here
Fellow Canadian expat in Lipa here, let me know if you'd like to meet up if you come here Michael!
Sorry for the hot weather of batangas city bcuz its summer season these days
Yoy really paased on my home town sir, have a great holiday
I like the market you toured. It reminds me of a couple of markets that I like in a couple of other SE Asia countries. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!
afternoon delights
I recommend u to check in at Days Hotel... besides sm batangas city
U forgot to go Tagaytay City in Cavite, theres a short cut way yo go tagaytay, if u are still in batangas. At Tanuan Batangas drive thru goin to Talisay Batangas then ride zigzag road hills until u reach Tagaytay City
You need to visit taal batangas. The famous volcano and also historical buildings.
I went there pretty early on living in the Philippines but I definitely need to go back with more time again, if my camera had not got smashed and needed to buy another then the budget was for me to spend time there this time
Baler Aurora and bagiou City are good options to visit as well. I am from Pakistan and I toured Philippines in 2018. My 2 year stay was amazing.
That was so funny! 😂 The Lady singing and then the Hotel inspection while sweating a lot! 😂
Bro its hot 🔥 in the Philippines! I am relieved because I thought i am the only one sweating there! 🤣🤣🤣
Haha yea that walk in the sun and the market with no fans really did a number
Batangas City famous of Lomi btangas, bulalo, gotp btngas, beaches resort, barako coffee
singapore had really nice love hotels I mean really nice..
The only thing to do in Mississauga is leave as fast as you can lol.
Love the quality of the video. What do you use?
this was a go pro hero 10 but it broke the next day and changed to DJI Action 4
The Basilica of Immaculate Conception was first built in 1581 is the English translation of the Tagalog sign, then the second one with a stone (bato) foundation was in 1601…
Thank you
I like the sign downstairs. Blood stains on bed will be charged extra.
Michael, since you’re going all over the place, please visit our small fishing town of Malabon. It’s about 1 1/2 hrs from lipa, batangas. We would love for you to see and experience the sights and foods of my home town. We would love to show you around in April ( flying back home for a short vacation). Mabuhay!!
I would love to come that way but this time I think it might not be possible since I need to be moving may 1 and I have much To do to locate and rent and plan the move in April. I never say never so who knows maybe something will align. Worst case we raincheck for the next time and I go then
@@ThatPhilippinesLife sounds great! We’ll be in The Philippines for a couple of months so hopefully things may work out eventually.
I carry a couple of the 3 in 1 instant coffee tubes with me. Then I only need to find hot water. If no hot water and I get desperate I can just snort it :)
Haha my kind of living (I usually have some too, but snorting not yet bahaha)
I have stayed at The Farm. Pretty nice place to get away from the city life.
If you have time, you should visit the abandoned theme park in Lemery, Batangas. 😊 It’s actually near Tagaytay City
I wanted to go here! Unfortunately without a vehicle it just wasn't possible this time
LoL, that Love shack rooms 😂. That's where the term, "Syota" (short time, ie 3 hrs) a popular term before which means gf/bf but superseded by newer gen z term, "jowa" of the same meaning.
4ps beneficiary it's a government project for poor families that can't afford to send their kid's to school, its financial help
Thank you so much 🙏
Your welcome sir 🙏
Coffee : that is 1 of the things I still don’t understand in Ph: no coffee stands, nothing at fuel stations. I just wonder, just imagine, you open a booth with some bar stools around it. Fresh ground coffee, simple muffins. Would that not get customers?
Will you start travel to other countries again? Once you settled ? Would be fun to also follow you around doing that :)
Red door. That's Scotty boy's favorite place to stay. It didn't look too good. I can't believe you lucked out with a resort. Nothing like the last stop where they rolled out the Red carpet for you. These guys ignored you. I'll bet they're kicking themselves now. Your camera seems to adapt to the darkness pretty well. Fate is very good to you. Can't wait to see more of the farm.
Crazy luck, almost like it was meant to be. Thank you so much
Wooo
make sure there is no bed bugs on that motel lol😁🤣😂hello from Vancouver Canada
Haha I didn't stay to find out
@@ThatPhilippinesLife 🤣😂
Go to the food court
Thats a motel the RedDoorz. For lovers who want short time...
There is an expat in Batangas we watched him in RUclips too his vlog called Crums in the Philippines his name is Stanley. Only if you are still in Batangas
Yea I have moved further north now :) thanks though
I think Stanley lives in North of Batangas called Lipa
We are watching your video right now 😊. Just trying help you around sorry not trying to be annoying.
Take your hidden secret video cam detector!
Unless you want your family to watch you in Flagrant Delecto online!
Dude, if you don’t see a price on the items you want to buy, it’s your chance to barter or ask if “bababa pa po ba?” (Can it-the price-still be cut?) … 250 Pesos is quite high for a shirt! ✌🏽
That hotel red doorz looks dirty, be careful with bed bugs.
The Farm...100,000 pesos a night. NO WAY.. About $1750 US. Rip Off. Not worth it. I've travelled the Philippines and no way that place is 100,000 pesos a night. Was born in the Philippines but grew up in Canada and now in the US. Retired and travelled the world. Stayed at very nice Resorts in the Philippines, Nothing is worth 100,000 pesos a night. But, Thanks for the video.
FYI, two nurses from the school were walking behind you after the dark building and renovators.
They wanted the D😂
I saw that in the editing, they were just watching out for my health
Can you do a video on what you pack in your bag? Is it possible to live/travel in Philippines with a single backpack? Appreciate it.
I see others are doing it..not sure how haha, but yea if you stay in the hot areas you could have 5 t-shirts 5 shorts, toiletries, socks and underwear and go from pace to place and buy new shirts ect monthly cheap. As a vlogger short two day trips I do with backpack but a week or longer I bring a large suitcase with all my stuff to do a live stream, editing, lots of clothes for any weather, towel, even a thin throw blanket in case the place I rent has only a sheet.
Most of my stuff is because I'm blogging though (some vlogger use their phone to edit and do it simpler then me)
Biggest thing is have a pack that goes across your chest for valuables in crowed spaces
You need one big back pack the suitcase doesn't work
13:26 She is singing The Dental Song
The Farm is 100k pesos/night…way too much! Even if I have money I wouldn’t pay 100k. Any plans going to Quezon province? They have beautiful white sand beaches in the islands of Polillo, Jomalig, Alibijaban etc. The only problem is it takes 4 to 5 hrs by ferry to get there. Not counting the hours on the bus. Can’t wait to see The Farm!
I didn't even know Quezon province existed until now I always though of Quezon City in Manila! I just learned something today. Not this trip as my destinations are set in one Direction' and it wouldn't work this time
The most expensive was 100k yes the cheapest 13.5k
what no coffee in Batangas city??!!! Batangas Province is known for their coffee why do the city market haven't any?
In was surprised too I heard it's a big deal but I think maybe more towards Lipa
Be careful of scam fares from tricycles and taxis, most of them will ask overpriced fares.
Not sure of your name ; I was watching a blogger for a long time. One day in angel city ( where his wife and him live). The wife decided to start to walk. She got ten feet out of home where two guys on a bike came along. One jump off quick and pull a knife on her. They got her cell phone. Later that guy who pulled the knife try to blackmail him. It all turn out good at the end.
How long ago was that? I heard stories when I first arrived 2 years ago by my air BNB host but they seemed to be before 2017
About six months to year ago. I think his channel is Phil in the philippines . I do follow other channel bloggers. Being retired on a fix income. This is closes I get to be there. I am a american lives in state of iowa. I am about 1 hour drive from Mark Twain hometown. I live in a small rural town of about 458 I think.
Poutine : I asked already The RG Scotty but he doesn’t know either : where can you get poutine in The Ph ?
( national dish from Canada)
Do you go through Baguio City on your way up to Vigan or just pass it?
Yes I'll be staying there to check it out
Michael,
why you don't use a driver towel to dried you self?
Didn't have one this time
Hi Michael, the first hotel was it in a town or Batangas city?
Batangas City
Thanks. Surprised. Some acquaintances gave me the impression that Batangas is big and modern city but it looks like a town and no taxi. Sorry. Not criticising. Just not what I thought.
@@Mary-zd8xo yea no taxi no grab either
Ok Michael, you should have asked that girl out on the Boat.
I chatted with them but I got no game, one said if love to go all over with you and I said let's go haha she laughed and wandered off.
I'm sure they like most ships have strict rules on dating customers
Yeah True, it's to bad she was HOT. Oh well, keep trying. Don, CA.
There were some cute ones on the ferry but your probably referring to Angel
hi mike you must have trouble fitting in a trike, iam 6'1 and have trouble fitting in a trike
Hahaha do I ever! Especially the little capsule ones
Bro. you look lost, don t check what is under your bedsheets and keep the TV off if you like to sleep properly.😅
Ala eh!
Been there many times. On your way to Puertos Gallera. Ho'Ville. You blowin bullshit. lived ther 2015-2016.
Can I ask what’s the best place you’ve been to you can live please
If you want quiet peaceful good for a family life the Iloilo city, party places many others, hyper modern BGC/Eastwood, tourist type places Boracay, Palawan, siargao. To be surrounded by expats the Dumaguete and area and Angeles. It's a complicated answer as I know many great places if you want provincial but close to cities
Lol, 200 pesos for a short ride? You need to figure out how to get a deal in the Philippines. A couple of weeks ago, I stayed in a 3 - 4 star hotel in Cebu for 1000 php..Definitely nothing like that room you showed, for 1300.
What do you mean Daddy, never heard of it are you talking about a young Filipina girl searchin for a foreigner to have a relationship, ATM is in their mind.!
Not sure what you mean? I only mentioned the college students were checking into the hotel no foreigners
👍👍👍🇺🇲🇺🇲
This video is one day old and we are seeing face mask and social distancing signs at this hotel?
Yea it's common in the Philippines they are old signs but many businesses still have mandatory mask policy for employees
Michael, is everything ok? Haven't seen a vlog from you in 2 days from this video
Facts are Tagalogs were little bit cleaner and organised than most majority of the Bisayan however, tagalog speakers has the worst english accent of all the Philippines, Vigan city got similarity with a clean and tidy sorroundings like BGC and makati does
