Taking the turbo off on tdv6 3.0 without removing the body off is no impossible, I’ve been through this and mechanics asked me nasty money to take the body off so I decided to it myself on a Range Rover sport 2010 model . Took me 3 days but now I know how it works I can do it in one day , put car on off road mode , take the exhaust out , take the driver side splash guard out . Upper control arm out , remove the egr , alternator and starter motor then you have a plenty room to play with turbo and you can easily replace it yourself . Even taking the body off is very easy you just need a ramp to lift the body off . Land river manual explains everything and it says 4 hours labour to take the body off which I can understand it’s not possible if the car is old and rusty and most likely the brake pipes need replacing etc....
Could you do some videos and pics of what to do, sounds like a very interesting blog that would get you alot of views

@@barber161 I’ve done both turbos done last month took the body off on a ramp .BHA RAMP RENTAL . It’s a place in Oldham £15 an hour you can hire a ramp .it took me 2 days on that car v6 3.0 .I’ve taken the body off first time in my life and honestly it’s very easy .if you know a bit of Mchanic work I’d say do it yourself rather then paying 2/3k to workshops .

Honestly taking the body off is a 3 hour job for 1 and if you get a helper you could do it in less than 2 hours. Why piss yourself while working when you can get plenty of space?

When you taking body off you take a risk of the many different electronic components such a sensors etc. We want to minimalize possibility of damage any pipes, sensors etc. A lot of our customers are surprised and satisfied, because our specialists don't lift the body or remove the engine to change the turbochargers. Customers satisfaction is important for us and this is our priority! :)
Very good work. I have also removed the two turbos from a Sport TDV8 without removing the body. And without special tools. A query ... everything is correct, but p132e 22 appears on the display. And I no longer know where to look. The car goes into failure within 30 seconds of starting. Thanks greetings.

Turbo is probably ok and will tell the owner they will fix it but didn't need fixing. I've heard of them doing this before.

@@bestTurbos my mate took his to be diagnosed... it later turned out to be the dpf trying to regen even though it had been gutted...
