I REALLY love watching you guys. Here in Australia, we think Germans are not funny, but you both prove us sooo wrong! I truely enjoy Christian’s technical expertise and he reminds me of the people I worked with when building my MB Trac Machines many years ago. I also think you have exceptionally talented boys.
Thank you for sharing LR Time as well as your lives with us.

So basically, when rebuilding a Discovery, you need a highly skilled blacksmith like Robin. I'm now trying to persuade my youngest daughter to train as a blacksmith for all the projects I've got planned in the future. Not sure she's quite on board yet. 😅 Seriously though, great effort and Robin has some real talent and skills. You must be very proud. 👍

Had the same issue just our Caddy van last year. I swapped out the cartridge like you did. I never measured the vane actuation with the same precision as you though Christian. My Discovery 2 on the other hand only ever needed a new power steering pump, replacement suspension air compressor and numerous other repairs in the 2 years I had it. It was so exciting wondering what would go wrong every time I drove it! I wish you guys had been around then! Keep up the great work!

I enjoy some of the videos that it just does that pertain to Land Rover. Like this one here this morning. Any new car today has some sort of turbocharger or a supercharger.
I am like yourself I don't want to spend more money than necessary. Like here rebuilding the turbocharger. I personally prefer to rebuild factory parts then to go with aftermarket.
I cannot wait to hear the engine again. I have enjoyed the whole process of this rebuild. I really like what you did with the frame. Hopefully everything is back together before the first snowfall.
I'm looking very forward to watching your next video.

I know that applying a Ceramic Coating to the Exhaust Manifold improves performance by maintaining EGT (exhaust gas temperature) in the piping. This reduces Engine Bay Temperature and improves the scavenge effect by maintaining EGT and pressure in the Exhaust Pipe. I’ve never seen it done with a Turbocharged Engine and was wondering if it wouldn’t have the same effect?!? Being that turbocharging increases both engine and exhaust temperatures, I would expect increased benefit from Ceramic Coating the Manifold and maybe the Turbo Housing as well?

Vera, here's an explanation on banjo bolts en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banjo_fitting . "Compared to pipe fittings that are themselves threaded, banjo fittings have the advantage that they do not have to be rotated relative to the host fitting. This avoids damage that can be caused by twisting the hose during installation. It also allows the pipe exit direction to be adjusted relative to the fitting, then the bolt tightened independently."
