If you use Mountain Dew for cooling your fps in Call of Duty triples.
Lmao.
"Oh BABY a triiiiple!" ;)
+DoubleVendetta (*******Chance Cox*******) dead meme
+Jake Walky oh shit whaddup
no one plays call of duty on pc only bf baby
First Linus builds a computer that can run 7 different instances of Crysis 3 on 2 cpu's, then Jay goes and watercools his loop with Powerade, milk and orange juice?
2016 is shaping up to be an amazing year for tech channels.
+lilturk726 Next time they all go to a trade show (when Jay is feeling less lazy) it would be cool to see them all team up for some sort of ChannelSuperFun vid.
Ryzza5
I'm still holding out hope for a Scrapyard wars featuring Linus, Luke, Logan, Jay, Paul and Kyle (from AwesomeSauce). Though I know that will never happen since logistics would be a nightmare, but a Channel SuperFun video would definitely be the next best thing.
one $30,000 PC is obviously better than 7 $1000 PC's XD
+PCmasterrrace Wizard y?
When was the last time Jay did something remotely 'scrappy'? (besides pouring orange juice into a loop) :)
I cool my PC with the blood of my enemy's.
haha I get it because its a coolant hahahahahhaha
it was boiling by the end of it.
cold blooded animals are his enemy.
I took the tears of my targets
blood will clog up, yours will be ruined faster ;)
If you gonna use milk, add some whey protein to make your rig bulkier
Anyone else see a series spawning WILL IT WATERCOOL?
+Mark Le (SupervGamer) If only Rhett & Link are PC enthusiasts, they'd do that
wafzulmi52 lol but still if jay makes a series will it water cool it would be cool too.
the sequel to- is it a good idea to microwave this? we bring you is it a good idea to watercool with this ?
+Mark Le (SupervGamer) I love this idea! Yes JayzTwoCents do that.
+wafzulmi52 i love that channel, the will its are the best
I'm going to use bleach to cool my PC because cyber bullies. FeelsBadMan
+Jacob Schute its #goodguykeem
E
Not a bad choice
Red Bull works best, it makes the whole PC fly away into the high octane FPS category :)
I give that joke a 1.3763394629 out of 137.543793
+Nathan M I laughed.. so I'll give it a 12/24
+Stranger Danger did you laugh out of finding it funny or just pure pity
+Nathan M I laughed because of the cringe I think^^
+Stranger Danger ohh that makes sense then
Powerade has electrolytes. It's what computers crave.
What about 99% isopropyl alcohol
1day later. why is my pc at 100c? *looks in system* where's the isopropal alcohol gone? oh right...
+binman133 plus if it vaporises in your case you will get an explosion id it gets ignited
+PetruV Your thinking Propane, not isopropyl.
+Slot1Gamer I think water has a better heat transfer rate than isopropyl. Isopropyl would start changing state to a gas in the loop. Setup with a custom system it might work well. Catching fire would be a thing.
***** ooooohhh burrnnn!
AT 7:37, you used the wrong powerade! You said you were going to use the sugar free and clear one!
+Brandon Stack listen to the words being spoken
+JayzTwoCents "Brandon Stack" is saying (as i noted as well) that you started pouring the white labeled Powerade first and then you switched to the black labeled one which was cloudier. The result most likely would have resulted pretty much the same.
+JayzTwoCents you agreed to the powerade zero I think it is(clear one and sugar free one) and then you used the regular solid color powerade. not judging just noticed haha.
+JayzTwoCents
they'e right though. you two decided to use the clearer one, then made a mix of the two when you actually did it. but that wasn't what you said you were going to do.
a problem? nah. but it isn't what you said you were going to do when you made a final decision *on camera*.
+Brians141988
4:24 they choose the clear.
This is nothing, I use tears of orphan children
Euritide umm...
confirmed working
wont the milk become butter eventually
2pvideo home made butter and a cool pc? Sign me up!
cheese acutally by heat
Hhhmmmm? ? ? Heat and Milk GREAT IDEA ! ! ! ! ! ! Rotten milk what a great perfume for a computer? And good luck cleaning out the residue from in the cooling system: The sugar that has gummed up on the inside of your heat exchangers for the CPU and GPU card. Water is the most Endo and exothermic substance. There will be no better medium for heat distribution or absorption.
The milk can't become butter. He's using skim milk which has no cream. Butter is usually made with 100% cream. Even regular milk won't do it.
+Roy Wood Except for Unicorn Tears.
I'm REALLY curious about how vehicle coolant would do in a PC loop
+hondannyboy It works pretty well actually. It's what we used to use before they came out with specialized cooling fluids specifically for PC loops.
+hondannyboy corsair AIOs have green car coolant in them..... i found out by the smell of it when it broke in my case...
+cee128d Would be nice to see them try some of the waterless cooling fluids like evans to see how they act.
+hondannyboy Cant see why not. Its just water with added anti freeze and anti corrosion.
+hondannyboy Good question on the antifreeze, but I would make sure to use sold rubber lines meant for cars/trucks/etc.. to make sure it does not spring a leak by eating threw something.
LOL running around CES is for fools. Watching Jay liquid cool with refreshments is the best :)
i was to since under 500 subs hardware unboxed
+ZeConso subbed*
+Hardware Unboxed Didnt I see you earlier ;)
Defender Of Faith Yeah? Where was I?
Hardware Unboxed On your channel, when i said no to there being no ddr3 lga 1151. and you said yes
As seen on "Food Theory: Did Frosted Flakes Just Make The ULTIMATE Gaming PC?"
I actually looked this video up before I even got to the point where MatPat showed the footage. At the start of the video, I said, "Didn't Jay cool a PC with chocolate milk recently...?"
Beer Cooling!!!!! Do it Do it Do it!!!
Guinness
+Dale Smith Pun? Because if so, that was amazing XD
well they could add Bailey's Irish Cream then they would be cooling with Irish Car Bombs!
Kyle Han Then your PC would be drunk...
Computing under the influence.
lol at the z turbo sound
+PoupsGaming A best turbo sounds in the world
+PoupsGaming A z's are naturally aspirated...
Loved when they installed the Twin-Screw supercharger almost instantly, and the sound.
+NotaPro 1. You can turbo a z. 2. Did you watch the video? He makes turbo noises with his mouth while driving it...
Tyler DeMars tbh i didnt scrolled down to the comments before watching the video. And yea I know you can turbo a z...
Science Bitch! haha
"Yes science bitch!" - Jesse Pinkman.
+FalloutFTW Magnets bitch !
+Blake Smith "This is my own private domicile and I will not be harassed bitch!"
+FalloutFTW breaking bad is the best show like ever in my opinion!
+ElyTech took me a while to figure out the reference.
When you combine a nerd with a petrol-head, you get Jayz.
Should have tried petrol in the cooler
Oooh, that would be an explosive experience! ;-)
Jovica Janjic really bad joke
I used to use a blend automotive antifreeze and distilled water in my builds about 10-15 years ago. It worked quite well.
im gonna buy a cow to cool down my pc! xD
+OPvsPP A cow would cost as much as a full loop if not more. :)
Joking xD
+OPvsPP Really? xD
+DeLawrence
not even close.
a fully grown unit of cattle is quite expensive, especially live.
frankly if a single unit of cattle was only worth $1000 tops (but more like $500), people couldn't make a living on raising Cattle. you'd make no money.
you can safely say that a head of cattle is worth no less than ~$1000 USD.
while you could certainly spend enough money on Liquid Cooling to reach that, a complete loop that isn't just wasting money isn't going to come close.
***** ok how can i tell yout this? Dude it was a joke...? xD
Supplement to thermal paste please! :D
I want to see mustard, toothpaste, ketchup, a really cheap thermal paste and a really expensive one, see how it all compares :)
techyescity did a video like that
+Jukebox300 got a link? I've been wondering how that would work for ages x)
+mackan072 I remember reading about that. They tested most of those and mustard was relatively better than all of the others including the expensive thermal pastes.... for the 5 or so minutes it took for it to dry out. :D
+mackan072 search for "PC Games Hardware Wärmeleitpaste" and you should find it. But, although they're a PC magazine they're often very stupid in terms of PC stuff.
Tech yes city did that go to his channel
im know that this video is old but.... that turbo spool and blower sound
How would automotive cooling products work? motor oil , antifreeze, transmission fluid,
In case you have forgotten, "antifreeze" refers to ethylene glycol, a chemical which when mixed with water is also used to prevent boiling.
And since an internal combustion engine generates so much less heat than the CPU there is a real worry of the CPU boiling the water in reality CPU hardly generates enough heat even make the water boil as fast as the moving water would carry away the tiny amount of heat generated and be taken out by the heat exchanger so yeah I really don't see you worrying about the ethylene glycol being needed to prevent the water from boiling
I'm simply saying, what would be the effect of these. Then because I referenced "antifreeze" you make a stupid comment about CPUs potentially freezing even though it';s common knowledge that antifreeze provides anti-boil protection. Further, propylene glycol has a property in which it is less effective when pure. Adding water to it allows it to have a higher boiling point and a lower freezing point than if it did not have water added.
Glad you edited your reply to take out the Ethylene Glycol is to prevent boiling remark I don't get why all this started about something other than water being used to cool a computer. Water is the most efficient liquid for endothermic and exothermic transactions, and it doesn't stink like rotten milk.
I wonder how winter windshield wash would work in a loop?
that milk expires on my birthday
+Shiny Fish i guess that's saying something
+Shiny Fish So will you
+kerg kerguson Savage
Rip
Cool lol
What about watercooling with nitroglycerin ?
I rate 9/11
Sounds like a great idea! Also, liquid nitrogen...
+scarfacemperor BOOM!
+scarfacemperor what could possibly go wrong?
+scarfacemperor BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
Very well done, your videos are amazing at all points of your production.
I just watched a few of your videos at work at 2 am and after this one I can’t help it not to subscribe. Also I think It’s awesome that u didn’t go into work and just decided to screw around and have a few beers while doing it
Hi Jay,
Just here to say: the amount of heat a substance can store is based on the molecules of that substance : every molecule has a certain number of degrees of liberty, 3 of those translate to heat. Determining the number of degrees of liberty kinda goes like this : you allways have 3 for the moving of the molecule in the x,y and z axes, 2 for each bound between atoms (those two represent ossiliation between those molecules, a bit like a spring) and 2 more for every 3 molecules connected in a row (those represent lateral ossiliation) so basicly, the more a molecul is complexe and has lots of atoms composing it, the better it can "store" heat while heating less themselves. water is consisting of 3 moleculs, which is not that much, so it's not perfect...
Car engines are also cooled a bit like a watercooling cools a CPU/GPU, but to get better performances, instead of using regular water, they use some kind of oil, a more complex molecule, thus capable of "storing" more heat.
(sorry for the inaccuracy, it surely isn't totally correct, but...yeah... and also sorry for the bad translation)
So what i would LOVE to see would be this: making this experiment with a car cooling fluid, this might be not that bad for the components (I guess so, it's kinda made for that) and this might also translate to better cooling, only thing is that those rad might then be the botleneck
Tank you Jay
And guys, like this comment if you think this is a cool experiment jay could do ;)
Nice LTT shirt on coconutmonkey
+Kristóf Bakos look closer, its not LTT
***** Right after the transmission on the reflection of the screen. Or am I wrong? Also, nice to see a RUclipsr reply to fans comments
8:50 looks like the brofirst one
teespring.com/brofistwan
+Jiaping Zeng Nah it is the version with Fractal Josh in the middle, brofisting Luke and throwing pie in Linus face.
+Leedoe1989 ....so it is a LTT shirt
Watching these old videos makes me glad you now have Phil.
great channel @JayzTwoCents, I do the turbo noise in my car too when no ones there haha.
That Z sounds niceeeeeeee
+Dextah Agreed.. :D
+Dextah yes sir!
+Dextah is it a 370Z or 350 ?
?
GameTime Alex
I believe he has the 370z nismo.
niceeee I like it, my fav nisan is SSilvis S15 but alsso big fan of 240SX
he swapped the poweraids he was pouring, he started with clear then went to the cloudy
o rip didnt notice
Love your channel, Jay.
IM DOING THE POWERADE THING OML YOU SAVED ME SO MUCH MONEY MAYBE
wait nvm ima fin the vid
TotalyNotTrevor hi
LeafyIsMemes ohshidwudup
LOL!!
an idea for a follow up... alcohol. Moonshine maybe?
+MrMatte0000 Alcohol destroys the tubing.
AC Mild
Can't read anything about orange or milk in my comment, so if you believe that my intention was to say that orange and milk doesn't destroy the tubing, go on.
surprised I didnt see any 'children in africa' comments
Children in africa could have eaten that cpu
XD
When a reply gets more likes than the original comment 🤔
children in africa could have eaten that Leonardo Tio
Children in milk could've drank that Africa.
lmfao love your camera man making lots of turbo sounds. xD shit had me dying.
This is Powerade's way into esports!
You should have tried it with Beer since you already had it on hand! Or even scotch or Brandy or Jack Daniels!
Others to try: Coffee, Tea, Antiseptic Mouthwash.
The thing is that most of the things we drinks are water based with different compounds in it... Probably the difference between vodka and whiskey cooling is none. He should try anyway. For science!
+MusicHaven2012 - It's the alcohol you need to be careful of (does bad things to some plastic and rubber types).
+Deses Science , Bitch!
+MusicHaven2012 Good suggestions. Actual car coolant?
that's alcohol abuse
Still better than Mayhems LOL
Metatr0n "such funny" ??? "much original" ??? go take an English course, you will benefit greatly by doing so.
+Nolan C You clearly dont know the meme
It's good to see your doing prerolls, you deserve the extra cash
What pump and reservoir are you using ?
Im looking for a upgrade to my new build, and i have an XSPC DualBay Res with pumps, but the new case aint got any Bays in it.
should have tried the beer 😂
shouldbhave used monster and gotten sponsored ;)
+Conrad Blake Or Coke
+Tucker Kennedy Cocaine?
+Tucker Kennedy or a burger, I'm lovin' it
Lol that twin screw impression sounded real 😂😂
The induction noises thing was hilarious.
Get an old junk setup running with Milk and keep it going until it spoils. Just to see what happens.
Will it still get chunky and clog the rad or pump if it never stops flowing? What color will it turn? ... etc.
*****
You would think so, but the flux and heat might do some odd things to it. If I did this, I would only use components that I'm ok with throwing away instead of cleaning. And I would expect not to be able to salvage the rad after that.
+WrenAkula cheese cooling
+WrenAkula Bad milk produces gases. So basically your fittings will pop and you'll have the most nasty stink all over your 700+ bucks components and the carpet...
+WrenAkula It'd probably fuck your pump before anything else, I'd imagine.
Do a Khorne theme build and use blood as coolant.
Those Terminator Glasses though :D Jayz'll be back xD
Jayz you are so funny and do great videos I wish I was your friend
3:04 omg that guy i laughed so much.. :D
next video pour those in individual cups and put copper and some old computer parts and leave them for a month and see what it does to the metals
ClumsyGamer I bet the electrolytic metals in the Powerade would began causing corrosion
Please try with : mineral oil, alcohol(99%) and bleach
+Masson Vural and may be Urine x)
Alcohol is going to evaporate. I think.
+A dog ate my homework it's a sealed loop, where will the alcohol evaporate to?
+Eric Bowling the loop
Bleach would corrode the whole loop
were the drinks still chilled from the store or did you let the drinks go to room temperature beore doing the test?
Glad im not the only one who makes turbo blow off sounds when driving a turbo car
y u no add beer lol
I was thinking to use toothpaste as thermal paste and orange juice for my loop but they dont mix.!)
You would be surprised to know that toothpaste really does work for thermal paste. Surprisingly well, and can last a few months. But, just as a disclaimer: Toothpaste will kill every part of a PC and burn your house down don't try it. I'm not responsible if you burn your house down or kill your chip.
DgxgamingHD You're doing it wrong, you gotta use whipped cream for the CPU.
so with water cooling are you just putting water in the pump or do you have to buy speacial stuff
Do you have to buy temp probes or do CPUs and Mobos come with them installed?
Won't damage nickel. Nickel is the shit. But copper, yes. Only very slightly though and would take a long time. How late am I?
Very late.
+Gaya very very very late
All ya'lls late.
+Mike Chowtee no you
try vodka and pop
I doubt the pump would be powerful enough but what about liquid mercury? In a controlled environment it could be safe enough. Fumes are a problem at higher temperatures but I think it's in the hundreds? You should team up with Cody's Lab and try it. Everything would be a write off and it could attack other metals... yeah it could be quite a bad idea.
a liquid metal like Gallium though would be an amazing bet as a coolant. its liquid AND metal to metal contact. Gallium is food grade safe so i assume gallium wouldn't attack any metals as it has low reactivity, dont know for certain.
only problem is getting enough gallium for the loop would be expensive to attempt, and the pumps would have difficulty with density.
movmakerNeo Yeah except Gallium corrodes Aluminum.... not a good idea
movmakerNeo Gallium is very sticky, and is 3x as dense as water I think. It's melting point is 29 degrees Celsius.
welp than gallium is both corrosive and too high a melting point, lol.
You mean too low? If it gets 25C idle, then it would solidify?
I love that pump. What is it, and the setup? And how did you use it to drain the loop? I always thought I had to use boooring gravity? Also I have a bitspower and ek water valve just not installed yet.
Now, I know how to get warm milk for cocoa while gaming:)
next episode: ketchup as thermal paste :D
I use Redbull when I overclock.
My CPU has wings now.
Watching the reservoir empty was really satisfying, I wish they showed more of it.
Your store plays some good jams.
I swore the coolant looked exactly like sunnyD
It's like _Good Mythical Morning._ Will it watercool?
will it watercool? donkey semen
that's a parent?!
if so, that's the most chill dude i've ever seen in a while.
awesome test, in case nothing at hand and need to run for few minutes. I did with regular purified water sold in bottles at grocerys when was waitinf for my liquids
Jay one of these should have been a cheap vodka. lol
or rubbing alcohol.
+Elemino Musgrove the problem with alcohol is it can/will damage the acrylic.
FrznTek didn't know that. The extent of my experience with acrylic extends to the two subwoofer boxes I once owned with acrylic windows on them.
U gotta try it with carbonated water
Proki Try it with liquid nitrogen
Redd Rokket It would crack the tubes
Vertical Gamer It was a j o k e
What program do you need to use if you want to see your cpu temps.
do you need to replace fluids in your AIO coolers?
computers now are like nuclear reactors 😂
Axel Zamora why
ITS BILL NYE THE SCIENCE GUY
So Far Away by Staind playing in the background at the grocery store. I was just listening to it right before I watched this lmao
I would love to see the same thing with synthetic oils - obviously those are not expected to be corrosive but how well will they cool the PC?
Try adding lighter fluid
Try cooling antifreeze, 50/50, and motor oil.
What is the model of pump you are using ? where can we buy it ?
Love your car taste. Love the Z's
I love your car dem turbo blow off valves sound sexy! Any way loved the vid and keep up the good work!
After hours of listening to it it sounds like a legit blow off vavle I must say very impressed ...
370 z isn't boosted
you can't even hear it, are you stupid or something? His car isn't even turbocharged
you can't even hear it, are you stupid or something? His car isn't even turbocharged
+PrestigeProducts dude I'm being sarcastic calm down buddy 😂
bleach cooling
lmfao
whitneythesharky "I will drink the science after we have done"
I just like that Staind was playing in the grocery store, good job grocery store
love that turbo flutter
I was thinking the milk would be the best because you can use milk to help with spicy food...
Oh my god
bruh
+PwnehCreeper12 because it washes away the capsaicin more effiecently than water, the last time i checked a cpu doesnt generate capsaicin as a waste product
I was joking guys, calm down! This is the internet, everything is a joke! (insert kappa here)
+PwnehCreeper12 just don't ...
water cool with molasses.
Lol
Tar
Semen
TechNick Coffee
Hello,
Can I use distilled water to cool down my PC? Instead of using that C 1000 coolant...
Do I have to mix it with anything?
*What program is he using at **9:37** to monitor the temperature?* I have HW CPUID, but would like to explore other programs.
Y there is no car radiator coolant.
vrty21 because that is what they fill AIO systems from the factory
Use Mercury!!!!
Felipe Ortiz There's no way that pump is strong enough for that. Mercury is very heavy
Vertical Gamer dense not heavy
Bephomet bruh density is a calculation of mass (weight) vs space. so they are basically the same thing
Dawson Wood guess you're right
It is way to heavy.
Would mineral oil work as a coolant even though its thick, i think after it got a little farm it would flow ok.
What was the name of the program he used to look st his cpu temps... thanks
Use car coolant! Would be so cool :D
someone made a diy watercooler with house components and the coolant was radiator antifreeze :D
Got to have antifreeze to make sure the CPU doesn't crack where it gets cold enough for the computer to freeze, but it does raise the boiling point of water although I don't think the CPUs can he get up to 210°
Didn't Linus use antifreeze in the whole room water cooling loop?
watercooling with pee. yes i know just curious. and since pee has some sodium it corruption can happen which then i would recommend to boil it to distill it.
i can't believe i typed this xd
What software are u using to monitor the cpu and gpu temperature?
This is the greatest thing i've every seen
