I imagine they flood out or float away like all the low profile vehicles people drive into intersections with 2 or more feet of water here in the Southwest during flash flood events. Unibodies, the rear ends lift and float with the currents . Heavier low profile vehicles stall out and they sit there restarting them until their engines and transmissions are destroyed. Insurance doesn't pay in flood events.

By volume, the dry air in Earth's atmosphere is about 78.08 percent nitrogen, 20.95 percent oxygen, and 0.93 percent argon. A brew of trace gases accounts for the other approximately 0.04 percent, including the greenhouse gases carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and ozone. To think that a small increase (200 parts per million in the last hundred years) of carbon dioxide would affect the weather is ridiculous.

I hate when I hear people minimize when other people say they are shocked not because of nature doing what nature does, but nature giving people near record levels of rain in a short span of time. So it is your own misperception of the experience that those people were having that caused you to over react.
After all what do you care how people react to a rain storm??
Come to think why do I care how YOU react to how those people reacted?? 😂🤣😅🤣😂😅. Oh man there's a Monty Python skit in that bit!! 😅😂🤣

Business owners and employers who threaten to fire employees for not showing up should be fined heavily, because they put their people in mortal danger.
Friday I saw a woman who got stuck on a flooded underpass for 12 hours. Her battery died and her cell phone as well, as she had the audacity to turn down an offer to have her car towed earlier on. 😕
