Can you imagine how much work can be done to repair/improve the infrastructure of our cities if we did not have politicians who increase their personal wealth by investing in the same military contractors they hand billion dollar NO BID CONTRACTS every year, to pay for their FOR PROFIT WARS?

When I was evacuating my apartment due to incoming flood waters at midnight a couple years back, I couldn’t find an Uber or Lyft available. Thankfully I found one eventually and it cost me $100 to get to my friend’s apartment. I don’t even pay that much to ride to the airport. It was crazy. It’s basically New Year’s Eve pricing. That said, the driver risked his life driving me through partially flooded streets so I was happy to pay the fare. It was late too. My gripe is that most of that money doesn’t even go to the driver. I should’ve canceled my ride and just paid him in cash.

Flooding is the worst 😢
I hope they are covered by flood insurance 😬
It's been devastating to see the impact of the recent flooding in New York. I can't help but think about how it's affecting people's finances
Absolutely. The flood has caused significant property damage, and I'm sure many people are facing financial hardships.
I've heard about a financial advisor who specializes in disaster recovery. Has anyone here had experience with them?
Yes, I've worked with them. They've been instrumental in helping people affected by the flood and natural disasters occurring in these trying times.
That's intriguing. Can you share more about how they've been assisting people during this difficult time?
Certainly. They start by assessing the financial impact of the flood on individuals and businesses. They help them navigate insurance claims, access government assistance programs, and develop a financial recovery plan.
So, LaGuardia had 11 years between Hurricane Sandy and yesterday to engineer a way to prevent flooding. 11 years - zero effort.
