    New Jersey had deaths and missing persons. Prayers with their families. I was in a flash flood due to poorly maintained manholes, vulnerable people were passengers with me. It was only a few feet of water, but the power of it pushing our car backwards and downwards will remain with me forever. Thank fully some good people (college age) came out of a pizza place and pushed us to a safe place. It was a very long evening, the car was never the same but we were unharmed. AMEN!

    None of these crazy rainfall numbers on the east coast this year are from named storms. Imagine what the storms will be like in a couple years will be like if this is the new norm.

    If water raises 6-inches to a foot above the car floor, this very well could be considered enough damage for the car to be totaled as a flood damaged car. The flood waters in the car interior causes black mold in the carpet, shorts out and corrodes electrical connections that are not water-proof in the interior of the car and costing more money to repair; making it a total loss by car insurance company. States will not register cars that are flood damage and list the cars as salvage and not operable on the road.

And Governor DeSantis back then vote against giving us Federal funding during Sandy yeah I bet when he got hit with a hurricane he asked for a handout from the government. NOT A NIGHTMARE IT IS SUKKOT .On Sukkot, G‑d determines how much rain will fall that winter (the primary rainy season in Israel). Thus, while every sacrifice in the Temple included wine libations poured over the altar, on Sukkot, water was also poured over the altar in a special ceremony. This ritual engendered such joy that it was celebrated with music, dancing and singing all night long. This celebration was called “Simchat Beit Hasho’evah.”
    Even today, when there is no Temple, it is customary to hold nightly celebrations that include singing and dancing (and even live music during the intermediate days of the holiday).
    This holiday is so joyous that in Talmudic times, when someone said the word chag (“holiday”) without specifying which one, you could know that they were referring to Sukkot.

    This is terrible. Mayor Adams should declare a State of Emergency and give the 1000,000 Asylum Seekers who have relocated to NYC a $12,000.00 Grant to compensate them for any possible losses they may have had. With the flooding they may lost everything including family pictures and momentos they brought with them from home. It would be a small token to show how happy we are that they came to our City.

      Why we could just do like Trump. Separate children from their parents and put them in cages. During Sandy my street was under 5 ft of water. FEMA put me up at the W for 3 months and sent me a $2,500 check.

      @SicilianStealth Год назад

      @@RiverRatWA57just looked up the kind of weather you get in the Pacific Northwest.
      A rapidly intensifying storm, called a bomb cyclone, could dump 3-5 inches of rain across coastal Oregon, Washington and Northern California.
      Bad weather happens just about everywhere because I'm staying where I live and I'm have no intention of going anywhere else so I don't know what that ridiculous comment is about. If anything leave Florida they get hit with hurricanes all the time.
      And a little bad weather is it going to get me running anywhere vacation in Wolfeboro New Hampshire for 30 years snow skied in minus 30 degrees. And they have 6 ft snow drifts so big deal.
      Of course you don't believe in climate change I wouldn't have thought you did with that simple-minded statement you just made.
