Congrats Mickey! Beautiful spec! I haven’t brought mine down to Miami (have a condo down there for vacations) yet but do yourself a favor and get out of South Florida for a week or so. I lived down there all my life until 15 years ago and had no idea how much better roads are in the rest of the USA. There are NO good roads down there! Mountain passes and canyons are what our GT4RS’s are made for. Once its broken in do a track day at Sebring, it’s a great experience that’ll teach you about your car more than the lame on/off ramps, 90 degree turns and congested highways. Enjoy it man!
There’s a few good places to run. The Gratigny and nearby surface streets, the Port of Miami tunnel, as well as the last 2 miles of I-95 near downtown on a Sunday morning. Let’s do it! Will be amazing content.

Great spec. Most people (including me) have gone for the lift, which adds weight, but in reality the front splitter is sacrificial and you can buy a new one later for much less that the lift. So, you have a much lighter version than I have, and need to get the car to some twisty roads. As you say the PDK is telepathic, which is helpful on the track, and having not had an automatic since my BMW 3.0SA, I really dont miss the manual.
Comment on point. Front splitter has been scrapes only once on a massive speed bump. Besides that car has sufficient clearance to skip the lift. Also, congrats on the new acquisition. Super happy to hear that you got one
Absolutely-The FIZZ! I had very similar doubts and concerns during break-in. Once your ear cherries get popped the first time you hit 9k in that car, those brain tubes will send you crying blood tears of pure bliss too. Can’t wait to watch you experience it in your next video! Enjoy, my friend!!

Best sounding stock production car ever! Yes I’m including Carerra GT/LFA/and the C8 Z06 which I think is the most overrated sounding car ever. The way this 4RS changes pitch constantly combined with those punchy/race car like downshifts and absolute lunacy that final 1,000RPM before it hits 9K is worth the price of admission alone 🥰
100%. You can shift the GT4RS by sound alone. You always know where you are in RPM just by hearing that engine. Of course once my hearing starts to go, then I will likely be limited to only knowing when I am between 8 and 9k, but who cares-what a blissful way to go deaf!😜

Can't wait for you to break this in! I would still expect your gt3 touring to be faster. Both 4rs and touring are similar weights from factory. I'm guessing weight difference between the two is 200-300 lbs before added weight from demans engine
I feel like the car is beautiful and off course it brings about great emotion . The question is at 270 thousand plus tax and transportation your close to 300 thousand dollars . A Lamborghini Tecknica is about that money do you feel this car stacks up against that ?
Depends on if you track your car or not. The Lambos I’ve seen run on a race track had their days cut short from overheating breaks or ended up in a big cloud of steam. Better for looking cool in front of Blue Martini than actually using it like the big boys do!
Good point. I think at the price point it’s expensive. I don’t think I’d rather have a Huracan though over my car. I actually have a chance to get a Tecnica. Maybe I’ll be able to make that decision soon…

Why do you not wait and do more miles on the car before you rev it high? I did wait on my GT3 up to 1500km, and then I did rev it 6500. After 1800km I did rev it first time to 9000RPM. 😛 I call it DISCIPLINE 🙂

Thanks On a 992 GT3 oil change thread in Rennlist there is some confusion. Porsche originally said only 4.1 lliters of oil gets drained on an oil and filter change, NOTE: the drain plug in the middle of the oil pan does not get removed per Porsche. (On a 991.2 GT3 the same drain plug does get removed and it is an 8 liter oil change.) But then Porsche later made a clarification on the 992 saying to use caution since 7 liters may under some circumstances drain. Perhaps your viewers would find it interesting if you could resolve this confusion with a good Porsche mechanic.

Negative. The car was optioned as light as possible. In over 1000 miles, I've only scraped once so I guess it was the right move by Pete.
