Gotta do it before it's too late. It's too sad if he doesn't get to enjoy the adulation.
He fits all the requirements to be eligible. So does Genesis so that's twice he should be honoured. 😃

@@jpjunk4789 you referring to the 80s or the early nineteen hundreds?
It was awesome
@@jpjunk4789Lay off the wacky-backy for a while, JP.
Take me home to the mid '80's just for a couple of days please. I just wanna watch Joe Montana play for the 49ers one more time. Watch the Celtics Vs Lakers. Have a Winchell's doughnut. See my Grandparents one more time. Go to my old western themed McDonald's and have a McDLT. Play with my childhood dog Maggie. Play baseball in the backyard with my brothers and neighbors. Watch an original airing of Night Court. Say hi to my friend Billy (he got in the middle of bar fight trying to help his friend like a year after high school and lost his life). Ride my bike up to Tower Records and buy some cassettes. Back then all I wanted to do was be a grownup. If only I knew.
This is the most awesome and relatable post I’ve ever read.

Phil Collins owned the 80's
Um, that would be Michael Jackson. Phil definitely owned Miami Vice though lol
That is more true than you know. Fact, Genesis, of which Phil was a member created the sound of the eighties, a collapsing drum reverb... It's why eighties songs have that signature sound...

I remember when Phil was on the radio all the time. He has such great songs. I still enjoy listening to them. Very complex and interesting tunes with deep lyrics.

CONTROL IS AN ILLUSION
I am in control.
God is in control of what we have no control of. It is the ego that wants ones ducks in a row.
+Senior Chief Of not much more than your bladder for a few short years :)
Shpongled Come on now, back to the Mental Hospital.
Thank You, Phil! You are always in our hearts with your music. The 1980's was the last good decade that we'll ever know. Anything, from the 1990's till the present time (which, currently is 2023 as I wrote this), had only a few good artists, not to mention, society has gone to the dogs.
Phil's music has inspired me to do a lot a keyboard work and do original songs in keeping the traditions of those artists like Phil. You will never be forgotten. ❤
Just heard Phil's health isn't doing well, so I needed to hear this and remember and how good this song still is after decades on!
The Lord Jesus will take him home!
What an incredible run Phil and Genesis had!!! I am still listening to this great song! Anyone else?
Yes I am still listening to this great song in 2021 and watching the fantastic video that accompanies it.
@@mattdarrah7372 You obviously have great taste Matt Darrah!!
I would pay to see Phil Collins.
Melanie Biggins I paid to see him 3 times & it was well worth it. The first was in 1990 during his "But Seriously" tour , the 2nd time was in 2004 on his "Farewell" tour & last was when he reunited with Genesis a few yrs back. He never failed to put on a great show & is greatly missed.
+Melanie Biggins It's called a "concert".
Yes Klesh I'm aware of that... LOL
it's really sad his health is stopping him from performing. though I love that he's giving it all and still trying.
dedpxl Good news! Phil just announced recently that he is coming out of retirement & making a new album. He also plans to tour again.

Every songs was so positive back in the 80's, great groove, superb mixes, music for the soul.
This song reminds me of Sonny Crocket driving his Ferrari in Miami on a beautiful summer night. The 80’s were the best 😎🤘
