Some critics today look back at Phil Collins' 80's work with scorn and disapproval. They hated the era of synthesizers and drum programming. As a teenager through the 80's I always liked Phil Collins' music, but I never considered going to his concerts because I was more drawn to hard rock. One day suddenly, my older brother was given two free tickets to the Phil Collins concert promoting the "...But Seriously" album....So we went - And it was one of the BEST All-around, entertaining concerts I'd ever attended ! (Maybe second to Def Leppard's Hysteria tour) Phil's one Fantastic entertainer and always has a phenomenal band ! He has a Great stage presence - singing, musicianship and a sense of humor that is Always present and makes you feel like you're a friend just hanging out ! This has always been my favorite Phil Collins song, ever since I was a little kid. I was probably 7 when this song came out. MTV was relatively new and played the hell out of this video. My mother always used to yell at me to turn the TV down. I recorded it off the radio on my cassette deck and wore that out too. I still jam this song at least twice a week now, at 43 years old.

In "Don't Lose My Number," struggling director Max Stone, along with his witty screenwriter Riley Parker and resourceful producer Harper Lane, stumbles upon a mysterious envelope that leads them to Tommy, a man on the run from both criminals and corrupt officials. What begins as a search for inspiration for their next movie turns into a thrilling and comedic real-life adventure. Using their filmmaking skills to navigate a series of dangerous and humorous situations, they uncover a conspiracy involving valuable artifacts and corrupt figures. Their chaotic journey is captured on film, ultimately becoming a blockbuster hit that blurs the line between reality and fiction, proving that sometimes the best stories are the ones that happen off-script.
The summer of '85. Great time to be alive and this song was constantly on our portable radio/cassette players. This song premiered in July of '85 (Live Aid!) and would hit #4 in September. This and Take Me Home are my favorites from No Jacket Required. The '80's were more than generous to Phil both as a solo artist and with Genesis! Thank goodness to for Sirius XM 80's on 8 when they play songs like this all the time. It never gets old!

Live!" album, that was recorded during his concert in Berlin in 1990, while driving me to my classes. Between "Something Happened In The Way To Heaven", "In The Air Tonight", "Do You Remember", "Can't Hurry Love", "Sussudio", "Against All Odds", "Easy Lover", "Another Day In Paradise", and this song that was my favorite on the whole disc at the time, this CD alone is the one reason why Phil is my favorite 90's artist. Love that guy.

@Julia Lourdes Yes! Smart phones mixed with social media have not been a good combination on society. (People forget that these two could have existed independently of each other.) I still remember the first time I realized someone was accessing Facebook using a smart phone. I was in a bit of shock. That was probably spring of 2010.
To see him so young and animated; it kills me how many of modern society throw their youth away. Phil led the charge in the '80s and reaped the rewards there of.
This song was in my head all day at work, I had to see the video again, Phil Collins the musical Genieus! And wow, the 80's, we had it all, the great music, and the music videos, MTV was our daily soundtrack to the good times, so glad to be young back then, music just hasn't been the same since...
1:30 For those asking, they say "Mal Craggs", who was Phil's tour manager. I don't know why they say that, but it took me a long time to figure out whose name they were saying!
Okay, we need to keep musical geniuses like Phil Collins and Sting around for as long as possible, they both are turning 70 this year, and it's a sad realization knowing that so many great artists whose music I grew up listening to in the 80s, are getting old... it's a sad reality of life...I will cry SO hard the day Phil Collins passes away...
Funny how in the beginning of the video he references The Alamo...Phil Collins is considered one of the world's leading historians' of The Alamo and at one time he held the largest private collection of Alamo artifacts but has since donated most of it to their museum.

To see him so young and animated; it kills me how many of modern society throw their youth away. Phil led the charge in the '80s and reaped the rewards there of.

And it couldn't be an 80s video if it didn't have ninjas, because everyone was crazy over them thanks to actors like Sho Kosugi
Flying back to the 80's. It was excellent!
This song was in my head all day at work, I had to see the video again, Phil Collins the musical Genieus! And wow, the 80's, we had it all, the great music, and the music videos, MTV was our daily soundtrack to the good times, so glad to be young back then, music just hasn't been the same since...
I enjoy this song ... of the best of Phil hits !!!!!!!!!
1:30 For those asking, they say "Mal Craggs", who was Phil's tour manager. I don't know why they say that, but it took me a long time to figure out whose name they were saying!
THANK YOU KING! That has been driving me nuts for years!
I love you Phil Collins! So much talent and so delightful music that I never get tired to hear, you are awesome!!!
Who's playing the drums? ...Phil of course. ...Great! Great sandwich!
Best Collins song ever!
Love that opening, which is a spoof of Steve Perry's video, Strung Out.
You will never be as cool as Phil Collins
Phil Collins was/is the 80's!
So... Why is the album called "No Jacket Required"?! 😀
Happy Birthday, brilliant of my generation of music! Happy birthday, breathtaking Phil Collins!
This song is pretty badass.
Funny how in the beginning of the video he references The Alamo...Phil Collins is considered one of the world's leading historians' of The Alamo and at one time he held the largest private collection of Alamo artifacts but has since donated most of it to their museum.
