You know Strelok slaughtered lots of Military forces, then ends up joining them and everyone's just okay with it.
True, but the zone is huge and full of masked people, maybe they were not fully aware of who was killing and helping them
They don't have a choice, actually. He's legend, and they're, well, a bunch of operatives trapped in the most unpleasant place imaginable.

Strelok had knowledge, military had interest in what he knew so they made a deal, like many times in real history like Shiro Ishi and unit 731, that killed thousands in horrific ways for science and in the end of the war he was granted immunity by the US, pretty sure some Nazi scientists also get immunity... all for knowledge

@@RobertCBRN kind of feels like someone who's been there, living there, tells you what happened. Like a legend. I've spent quite some time listening to people from different countries. They told me the old stories every one in their towns knew back then. And this kinda felt like one of those stories

i actually stopped playing shadow of chernobyl after i reached the chernobyl NPP location. i didint have enough good loot and just died from the enemy chopper. took me 4 hours to get there. i played clear sky for like 2 hours and after i watched some stuff about it on youtube and heard it was the worst out of all of em i just quit. then i bought Pripyat which im playing rn but im just doing the main missions while abandoning the side quests . i think call of pripyat is the worst cuz the storyline is very confusing, unlike the other 2 which actually let u understand the order of the missions easily
Dude I don't understand what happens to the zone at the end? the zone just stays as it is and we're left with a cliffhanger until stalker 2?

Both Adrian and you are wrong. The Zone didn't disappear. It just became more unstable with emissions and stuff. And also more dangerous.
Lost Alpha tells us a little more than SoC. I haven't play it for a long time, my memory is bad and it's horribly long and sometimes painful to play through. Maybe could you make a little breaf what it adds to the storyline?

The best story is definitly the first game, the other 2 games have clearly less grand scale consequences.
Kill Strelok PDA isn't Scar's PDA. It's Strelok's. The CC made a mistake and he was wrongly supposed to kill himself.

My first runs I always try n do everything as best as possible n keep as many people alive as I can but this game is random! Lmao. I have a mission I can’t turn in because the duty member Skull was killed before I could turn it in.

8:25 The Military knew there were anomalies that can create high jolts of electricity, what they didnt know is that anomaly placements change after an emission.
In operation Fairway the Military has scanned for anomalies, let an emission happen, and then proceeded to use the outdated anomaly map.

I overplayed all three parts of them at least 5 times, and I know all of the information and connection between them. And one question is going up "Why I am watching this video?", the answer will be "Cuz Stalker will never be enough!"
In my whole first playthrough of SOC, I always ask myself "Where the fuck do I kill Strelok?", Well now I know.

I've played SOC when it first released. Now i just finished SOC, Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat. And i was so confused. But now it all makes sense. Lucky i found this vid
underrated video. I would highly recommend it to people who wanna hop on Anomaly first instead of playing Shadow of Chernobyl, Call of pripyat and clear sky as their first stalker experiences

I got into stalker through the gunslinger mod, and also hearing about it
08:25 that is not correct. The military was actually not aware that the anomalies move after an emission. That fact rendered the maps given to the pilots, with outdated anomaly locations, useless and that is why the choppers crashed;).

So if Strelok is still alive in CoP, out of all the possible endings in SoC, Directors Cut seems to be, he didn´t join the C-Consc. nor died by being to greedy on the wish granter. He killed the C-Cons. group and got the information about what happend to the zone.
CoP basically only is about a failed attempt to get to the now exposed cnpp, but by the help of Strelok, they survived and got information about the origin of the zone and how to better get into the zone next time.
BUT
The C-Cons. is dead and the crack in the Noosphere still open.
So if the GSC Creator still remember theire own story and I guess they WILL follow theire Storyline, Stalker 2 should tell what will happen to the exposed cnpp, as well as whether they will be able to solve the now unchecked, ever widening crack in the Noosphere without the help of the C-Cons. or whether the crack will now adjust unchecked to the equilibrium that the professor in Clear Sky has been harping on about all along.

The Trilogy indeed tells a lot what happens quite a while AFTER the zone was created buit the books start even before the zone was created, so tbh they should indeed be strongly considered

i'am alittle confused about Strelok in the 3rd game COP, how can strelok give information too the military if he died in the power plant or became a part of the C consciousness.....? i mean it would make sense if he destroyed the C con and made it out alive right.
The good ending in SoC, also canon, is when he destroys the C Con and survives

Saharov knew strelok. before soc and he gave him one of prototypes.
In soc he couldnt recognise him because of hpw much strelok changed while being brainwashed.

Im guessing scar became a monolith or something?? Might be wrong but he never appears back at pripyat and they usually take in stalkers to convert to monolith

And yes in shadow of chernobyl he sometimes spawns as a regular npc praising the radio thingy in pripyat.
Also take a look at stalker 2 lore the story is a bout a merc stuck in paripyat after events of the last game and they leaked that he sees a friendly face having a seizure in a basement while running from a big emission(possibly one that was supposed to stop strelok from getting away in the chopper)
My theory is that scar and a few other mercs were sent as a recon squad before the main group(the guys that degtyarev dunks in outskirts) so that friendly face might just be scar that somehow survived

So I am a newbie coming to the STALKER series due to STALKER 2 releasing on Series X next year. Whats the best way to play this entire series? Would it be just the Anomaly mod or literally to play each game. I dont have a problem playing each game its just the first game feeling incredibly dated. ( I know it released in 2007 )

i finished the first game with cheats because i can't pass that part where you enter in prypiat with some people ( in the first game)
stalker, especially for its time, had a very good atmosphere. beside the clunky, cheap animations that look like they were done by someone with 15 hours of animation experience and gunplay, that felt more random then beeing in control, the only real disappointment for me, were the labs. theyre empty, not lab like, not much to discover
I'm here cause of stalker 2 announcement. I will be buying xsx for S2. It will be my first time playing stalker ever. Can anybody tell me is this similar to the metro 2033 series? I guess gameplay wise?
In terms of story, amtosphere and many more is better than metro. Stalker is open world and you can play it any way you want it, it is true, the graphics are a bit outdated and has some bugs, but metro doesn't have mods. There are so many mods out there for stalker! My honnest suggestion would be to play all the stalker games, not only watch this video :)

The mistake is that sokolov is a military pilot of one of the crached choppers. I wont say that youve made a mistake not saying that the C-contiousnes is a very shady group, but i guess you have to expirience full story yourself, its worth it.
So if sidrovic knows who is sterlok in clear sky , why did he name him marked one when he got rescued in SOC , sorry for bad English
So far this fan made mod Stalker: Anomaly co exist with the story and lets you play as a regular Free Stalker in the zone post series. It's good!!! Hope Stalker 2 keeps all the same elements that made the game great with more refined mechanics and new stuffs instead of changes. Changing something that work and grows to be better will be destroying it.

why was the first chernobyl incident not mentioned, even though it was also related to the formation of the zone.
Maybe because is obvious and the whole Zone thing as we know it in the game is more related to the second one.
@@RobertCBRN That's true, maybe because the first incident only made the zone full of radiation, while the second incident made the zone wider, full of radiation, anomalies, mutants, and emissions.
the first (actual) disaster is only relevant to the game becouse the c-conciousness used the isolation of the actual exclusion zone to conduct its experiments beside some characters being eather loosely or directly connected with the original staff that was present during it
