Hey at least our parents care enough for us to not be mediocre. That's why we Asians are exceeding whites in virtually every metric of success out there
Then parents proceeds to comparing you against your cousin that's a doctor/engineer/talented musician/millionaire at the age of 14
A+ ? Timmy have A++++++++++ and finish his college at the same time and he’s 9 he also a doctor - average Asian parents
The casting of Jensen Ackles for SB was amazing
It’s good but not as perfect as Anthony star as homelander
@@NateOce Starr was the perfect cast for Homelander.
Yup hopefully this will open doors for jensen so happy seeing small actors from networks like cw getting big roles paul wessley from tvd also deserves a comback haven’t seen him in anything big forever

“You’re a f*cking disappointment” is what Soldier Boy’s dad said to him after he took V and joined the war. In this scene he realized just how disappointed his own father was, which is why he looks so broken.

I love the contrast between Soldier Boy's personality and Homelander's in this scene. Soldier Boy feeling every year of his father's abuse and realizing that Homelander is the same, just more openly sociopathic. He's so disappointed, not just in himself, but that his son is just like him or even worse.

When this scene came up I low-key felt for homelander not as a villain but as a child who was psychologically damaged and grew up without being trained by an actual father
Same...I almost switched sides
@@srajanmishra4214 same i felt bad for him. His emotions were really deep in this scene
I prefer the term taught lol. Trained feels as though the child is no more than a soldier
I felt for both of them, Butcher and Soldier boy are exactly alike, both grew up hating their fathers but ended up just like them. Soldier boy failed Homelander and hates that. Cause now Homelander is just as big an asshole as he is. Butcher is right on the edge of repeating the same mistake as Soldier boy with Ryan.
The fact that this scene made many of us genuinely feel terrible for the level of MONSTER Homelander is just a perfect testament to the writers and Anthony's performance. I was almost heartbroken for this damn child killing psycho.
Villains aren't born , they are made
@@DeadManWalking-ym1oonot even him for what i've read he atleast tried not to kill people but it was like an urge, and actually his childhood was so messed up and horrible, Even psychopaths can be good people if they are raised properly
@TheUnikorn415 No Ted Bundy did not have a terrible childhood, and no, he did not try not to kill people. He never had empathy or compassion for other people. By all accounts, he had a fairly normal childhood. And yet he showed signs of psychopathy before the age of 5 and took his first victim before even the age of 18. And from that point on, he killed people steadily throughout his entire life up until his final incarceration.
Any time he did slow down was only because of a close shave with the law and fear of incarceration. Hell, even when he escaped from prison, his main priority wasn't to get away. It was to kill as many people as he could because he had gone so long without doing so. There are certainly some psychopaths and sociopaths without the compulsion to kill. Ted Bundy wasn't one of them.
Ted Bundy seemed to be a particularly unique case. His urge to kill seemed to surpass every other instinct. Even self preservation. And I don't know where you read that he ever fought that urge, but that simply isn't the case. He was, as a matter of fact, extremely proud of his actions. That's why, to me, he was the most terrifying serial killer.

The fact that Homelander said "I'm you," and Soldier Boy confirmed that he's a "fucking disappointment" really hits home just how much damage his father did and how much Soldier Boy hates himself.
Any man who hates himself in this manner is pathetic. Those who are not afraid of Homelander always see through him: under the sociopathy and intelligence and arrogance, Homrlander is ultimately a guy who has never been loved, so he demands love from everyone, excelt the only love he understands is respect and fear. He doesn't understand anything apart from superiority he never deserved. Soldier Boy sees that. A man who has let his primal emotions take over his entire being.
Ahhh, the moment Soldier Boy figured out what his father meant all those years ago.
