    There is a ton of pickleball content on youtube but I've found Dustin's data driven approach to paddle reviews to be the most objective! Subbed!

    Thank god for data-driven scientific channels like yours - absolute breath of fresh air! The majority of other channels try sound objective but just wind up falling into the pitfalls of anecdote. At least John Kew trends a bit more towards objectivity with his cutaways/deconstruction/magnification of the paddles he reviews, but it still boils down to a lot of platitudes on how things "feel".

    Thanks for this comparison. For the swing weight:twist weight ratio you might want to split it out but shape since the shape of the paddle heavily influences those factors. You’d get smaller n’s but that would get rid of that confounding factor.

    Fascinating. I didn’t think there was that much of a difference between carbon fiber and Kevlar, but the data backs this assumption. Guess it’s a Kevlar paddle for me next when I upgrade. Great work, keep the data-driven videos coming!

    Wow, great data and presentation. I have found paddle performance data to be uniquely related to the individual. Swing weight above 115 is a drag for me. Likewise the comparison of power and control. My natural grip and mechanics absorb more energy therefore I lean toward power to help drop and dink success. Keep up the good work!

    Very interesting findings. It's crazy how many different qualitative and subjective differences each reviewer may have compared to the next about paddles, so anything more quantitative is always interesting to have

    Thank you for the information! I switched from using 14mm paddles to 16mm and I'm happy to hear 14mm Kevlars may have a leg up on their 16mm counterpart!

    Great content. Newbie here, started with a Hudef Gen 2, then Selkirk Epic Vanguard, then to Spartus Apollo. The last is my favorite for where I'm at now.

    Nice findings! I'm also curious if paddle manufacturers are getting better about weighting the newer kevlar paddles better to improve on SW and TW, now that people are better understanding what makes a paddle play well.

    I am a beginner in pickleball and until now I still do not know the right paddle for me. I play a lot of badminton before. A little bit of tennis and table tennis. I am at senior age already.
