Ethos DUNAMIS Review | A WEAPON of a Kevlar Paddle
📽️ This is my long-awaited review of the Ethos Dunamis, a one of a kind 14mm Kevlar paddle that is lighting fast with high maneuverability, strong pop, and a truly unique design. This is going to be a particularly great paddle for players who like their paddle to move fast, enjoy firefights at the net, and like a consistent, more stiff-feel across the paddle face. Overall, the Dunamis is a very strong paddle that offers a unique angle to the market, and is on my short list of favorites.

It seems the new 14mm J2K from Honolulu Pickleball Company offers a more versatile, aggressive, and manuverable option than the 16mm J2K.. I love the feel of the Kevlar blend paddles. And my favorite paddle to play with is the Ruby since I love the feel and the spin. That said, when it comes to tournaments, I end up switching to the Gearbox PPE just because I'm not a heavy hitter (need better technique) and the extra pop and power helps me out over the course of a grueling day. But I don't like the feel of the Gearbox; it feels really separate from my body - synthetic. So what I'm looking for is the feel/spin of the Ruby plus some Gearbox-level power/pop. Do you think the 14mm J2K would be the Honolulu paddle for me? Or should I consider a different Honolulu paddle?

  • @daviddecarlo543

    • @PickleballMedicine
      @PickleballMedicine 5 дней назад

      Yep! I like my paddles pretty heavy, haha. I usually prefer a swing weight in the mid to high 120's after lead tape, but even with the lead tape I added, the dunamis was pretty light.
